LITTLE PARADISE: few minutes before Artemis tried to flee

The moon, high on the sky was illuminating the sea. On the beach, stood a group of armored men. Most of them wore red armors, with only two of them wearing black.

They were black and red knights. The armor they wore was the kind that completely covered the body from head to toe, as such, even their faces couldn't be seen. Only the three myths and the two legends didn't put their helmet.

The leader of the red knights was a woman. She had beautiful brown hair, and her form seemed alluring even though hidden. Sadly, her beauty was marred by a sadistic smile on her face.

"Hihihi, it been so long since I was able to kill a constellationist. I wonder, how would their scream feel?"

The two black knights were looking at her with disgust. This psycho had the level required to become a black knight but she was refused entry each time. Their master was crazy enough, there was no need to further destroy their reputation by adding people like her in their midst.

Even though they didn't like constellationist, there was nothing glorious in killing a group of children who, for the majority never ever learned to fight. Still, they had to obey the order. The two of them looked at each other before nodding. The first one clasped his hand and made an item appear in his hand. this item looked like remote control, with a single touch on it. The moment the black knight clicked on it, space seemed to distort slightly before coming back to normal. This was a jammer specially created by NEWGEN. They couldn't stop someone from using space law, but they rendered all space items completely useless.

"How long will it last? How far?"

"Twelves hour, coverage of five hundred kilometers."

"Ok."

after that, he turned towards the red knights

"Listen, guys, I won't repeat myself. Our mission is complete annihilation. No survivors must leave these islands. I'm clear?"

"YES"

All the red knights answered in unison, their right arms behind their back, and their left fist and their c.h.e.s.ts.

The two nodded, their captain may be a psycho, but the rest was a good seed.

"DISPERSE !!!"

All the heroes rank dispersed in a team of three. Before entering the forest, the only one still staying on the beach were the two legends and the three myths.

The five of them were tense, they could feel two powerful aurae coming towards them. What bothered them the most was why those two let the heroes go unchecked. For a myth, killing a hero was as easy as stepping on an ant.

Two men finally appeared as they slowly walked, they seemed to appear directly from the darkness. The two were wearing a suit.

One of them was a handsome bald black man with muscles that could be clearly seen despite the suit he wore. He had what looked like a large sword on his back. The other was an effeminate looking man with a flower on his hair. The black man spoke

"You guys should leave this island. You're not welcomed."

His expression was gentle as if he wasn't in front of powerful enemies. One of the black knights murmured something before two silhouettes appeared behind him. One was a woman made out of water while the second was made out of wind. The second black knight did the same, but in his case, the two silhouettes were a man-made out of fire and wind.

The effeminate man made a gesture by putting the back of his hand in front of his mouth before laughing lightly.

"Oh oh oh, Elementalist? Been a while since I saw one. I guess it will be easy."

This remarks pissed off the five knights. Elementalist and constellationist had something of a rivalry. Of the four contracts, they were the only two who could manipulate true elements of nature. Sadly, Elementalist had it way harder than their counterparts.

An Elementalist could only understand the concept of the natural elements his elemental had. What more, in order to become a myth, they had to contract with either two basic elementals at the minimum or contract with one special elemental. Neither of the two conditions was easy to achieve.

All Elementalists directly became hero after their first contract. But the difficulty in reaching legend and myth was so high that most of them would also die at the hero rank. They also represented 40% of all the aether users. This made it so that in most wars, Elementalists were more seen as high-quality Canon fooders.

It didn't mean that Elementalists were weak, far from it. A powerful Elementalist could easily create earthquake or tsunami. it's just that they were rather underwhelming when compared to the other three forms of contracts. After all, they could also do the same and more.

"Don't look down on us, you bastard!!! "

The psycho woman was about to also activate her power, but she was stopped by a look from the two black knights, she understood her mission and fled with two legends farther in the forest.

The effeminate man narrowed his eyes and said, as he looked discreetly at a particular road,

" So you target is the young master?"

This sentence made the mind of those who were fleeing snap. Those guys were under the order of the [SCARLET WITCH], even an heir of a noble family wouldn't be called young master by them. Still, they continued to flee while keeping this information in mind.

After they fleed, without being obstructed, the four myths stared at each other without speaking. Doubt swirled in the minds of the knights, but they put them aside. They couldn't allow themselves to be distracted in such a situation.

Finally, the effeminate man began the hostility, his aura skyrocketed, completely covering the island, afterward, he sent a kiss gesture and with a wink, said

"Domain expansion, [ETERNAL NIGHT]"

The knights took an expression of shock, they would have never thought that they would begin with such a big move. This made that they were too late to avoid being pulled in the domain. Everything became black.

LITTLE ISLAND

The moment the aura covered the island, everything stood still, the wind stilled, the beast crouched down. The forest became akin to a graveyard for an instant. Following this moment, everything went batshit crazy.

Most of the participants though didn't worry about the aura. They thought that this was the second part of the test, or perhaps, one of the examiners was training.

Those were the first to die.

Their death was particularly gruesome. They didn't have the time to react to the monster tide that breaks out because those monsters were fleeing from the threat.

By the time they felt it, it was already too late. They were trampled to death by the hordes of monsters without having the time to understand why their talismans didn't work.

Those who survived began to flee in all directions, the sole concern being able to live.

Fabrice was one of those who were fleeing. His eyes were blurry with tears. His teammates whose name he didn't remember died not long ago, he could do nothing to help him. So fled. His steps were unsteady, his breath was rough.

(Why? why? why? )

That question was the only thing that was repeating in his head. The cause of the death of his teammates wasn't the beast. The moment the aura broke out, he began to flee with him since he thought that the death might go crazy.

The cause of death was three people, three armored people. Even though they were Elementalist, even though they were hero ranked like him, he could do nothing more than flee. It wasn't just a difference in power. Those people were used to slaughter. If he tried to fight them he would die.

But why? The test was under the supervision of a star academy, who could dare attack them? Only someone crazy would do something like that.

The three red knights were running in silence, no wasted movement, no wasted words of threat. They were like the reapers. Their job was to kill, they would kill. Nothing more nothing less.

Just as they were nearing their targets,

BANG!!!! BANG !!! BANG !!!

They suddenly stopped and took a step back. One of the three red knights didn't retreat fast enough and had his arm blow off like a tomato. The other two, seeing that, simply fled without hesitation, while the third simply grunted and followed them.

Artemis looked up and began to think of whether she should to tails the two who fled or try to form a group with the others.

After failing to flee, she decided to kill. A dryad didn't beg. A hunter didn't fall without making his targets suffer. She didn't know what kind of plot was going around and she didn't care. She was going to f.u.c.k.i.n.g kill everything she could and would kill herself if it looked like she was going to be captured. As for the guy who was being purchased? She didn't care about him.

Fabrice was looking at all this while his legs were still trembling. He really thought that death would come knocking on his door today. Seem like he was lucky.

After calming himself, he began to walk slowly, but suddenly,

"Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!"

He fell in a hole that appeared out of nowhere. After he fell, the hole closed itself. Where did he go? He didn't know. He just knew that his luck was extremely shitty.

FARTHER AWAY

The ground was littered with the body of different kinds of beasts. One of the surviving beasts was being strangled by Sol, with one hand. They looked like an oversized wolf. It was a shadow wolf.

After a few seconds,

CRACK!!!

He broke the neck of this shadow wolf and threw him away without caring more than that. The situation was dire. Even though he didn't have a concept related to space, nor any concept, he felt it when the safety device was put out of commission.

He didn't know how far the jamming went nor how long it would last. The number of enemies was unknown. Their power level unknown. The only information know was that they had at least one myth rank, most likely more. Fleeing was impossible. The chances of dying were extremely high. How should they act?

Firstly, they must gather numbers. The best would be to find Artemis, Emilio, and Natalie team.

Secondly, they must find a way to get out of here. The best way would be to find one of the examiners, so they should head out towards the direction where they stayed.

Finally, they must avoid fighting. They didn't know how many enemies were present. If they wasted their energy futility, they would only die faster.

What if they meet a myth? He clenched his fist. If they meet one, fleeing separately would be the only option. As long as the myth didn't have a law that greatly enhanced his speed, they would still have a chance.

After that? Would it be enough? Would professor Faust be able to protect all of them? Would he even be willing? Sol didn't want to gamble his life on the good faith of someone he didn't know. But he didn't have a choice... Did he?

He shook his head, he would only do this if every hope was totally destroyed. He may like them, but he wasn't a hero willing to sacrifice himself for others. After pondering he opened his mouth to say something to Alex and Feng who were out of breath when suddenly,

BANG!!! BANG !!! BANG !!!

He could recognize this sound without problems.

"Guys, follow me, we are going to add a new teammate before going where Natalie team is staying."

After that, he briefly explained his plan while they began running towards the gunshots.

Alex and Feng didn't have any opposition to the plan. The situation couldn't be resolved with their meager powers. They needed more people. Alex simply nodded and said,

"We should save as many people as we can while fleeing. "

Sol, who was running in front nearly had a heart attack when he heard those naive words. They couldn't even be sure to save Their own life and she wanted to had burden?

Still, he didn't say anything. Now wasn't the time to bicker. He was sure that he could convince her later. They just have to do their all to survive
