Enigma: Being Chased By A Sly Ghost Husband

One time could be a mistake, but Ryujin definitely could not say that for the second time. Due to her quick reflex and turning back, she noticed a dark figure running away.

"Yah! Stop! You—"

Before she was able to continue further, the figure had run away from her line of sight, and confusion showed on her face. More than that, anger was visible upon her face.

"That asshole! I swear I will kill him the next time I see him!" Ryujin muttered as she clutched tightly on to the snack packet in her hand.

Fortunately, she noticed that she was holding on to a packet of snack soon enough or else the contents inside of it would have been crushed by now.

It was already midnight by when Ryujin set off for her home, and that's when, she heard her phone ringing inside her pocket.

Reaching into her pocket, she stopped in her steps, and taking out her phone, she read the name of the one calling her— Min Aera. A small smile formed on her face.

She was more or less irritated due to the incident that had occured earlier, but seeing that Aera was calling her drove that way completely.

Receiving the call, Ryujin called out, "Aera-ah, you called!"

"Of course I had called you! Where are you now? You do realize that I was being worried sick about you!" Aera scolded.

"Aera-ah, sorry. I just got a new job and just got off the work now. Are you at the apartment currently?" Ryujin voiced out.

"Yeah. You got a new job?" Aera questioned.

"Yeah! I was hired to work part-time at a convenience store, and I think I did perfectly well for my first day. I did not create a mess, and the manager even praised me. I have a good feeling regarding—"

Before she was able to continue further, Shin Ryujin found something hit the back of her head, and a sharp pain went through it. A wince escaped from her mouth as she turned back.

Her eyes fell on the small rock on top of the ground, and creases formed between both of her eyebrows in confusion.

Could it be that she was being targeted by someone?

She let out a chuckle at that thought and mumbled, "Don't think like a fool! Who will even target you in the first place? It must have been brought over by wind."

Shaking her head at that, she turned her head back and continue to walk. Realising that she was talking with Aera, Ryujin's eyes widened and immediately she raised her phone.

"Ryujin! Ryujin! Are you there? Is everything fine!? Ryujin, you—"

"Don't worry, Aera. I am just fine. It is just that I noticed something. By the way, I will be hanging up now. It will take me about five minutes to reach home, and let's talk about rest of the things then," she spoke out.

After that, she hung up the call, and she placed her phone inside her pocket, another pebble hit at the back of her head. A frown formed on her face while she turned back.
