Farsian: The King Of Vampires

Chapter 10 - Blood Magic

Later that night Kaiser had succesfully secured a contract for the new found dark brotherhood. They had to kill a merchant that hid himself behind a band of mercenarys.

The reward was also pretty nice if you didn't count all the blood that would be spilled.

They soon started their attack on that merchant first they would have to go and scout their prey. After scouting they could plan their ambush or silence the right people if they had to.

Farsian went to the trading district he wasn't allone either there were actually a few vampires on the streets that day. He went down an alley and seperated from the rest. If they split up they would be able to find the merchant faster. His name was Ebenerz and he was rather walthy and owned many stores. He should be in one of them right? That was their thought when they set out to the marketplace.

Farsian saw many nice shops and even a slave market if they would become hungry they propably could get some slaves here to eat. The fastfood restaurante for vampires so to say.

Farsian couldn't be bothered to buy a slave now he still had many thieves in their dungeon. But how should he find that damn merchant? He knew he had to be here somewhere so he just checked all the shops in the street.

"Hello how can I help you?" A nice lady asked as he entered the shop.

She had brown hair and brown eyes and she looked rather nice. She wore a uniform propably something from the shop. But to Farsian she was just prey like all the other mortals out there. All he had to do was walk up to her and show her his teeth and she would scream in panic or even faint from shock or he could just snap her neck or simply drink her dry. There were many such ideas in his mind at the moment she just seemed to nice so he couldn't resist his urge he walked up to the counter but stopped half way there. What was he doing? He couldn't kill her that would blow their cover and everything was running smoth now that they had a job and all.

Insted he said "Do you know a merchant with the name Ebenerz?". He almost couldn't controll himself and his voice was wavering at the end. What was wrong with him? Or was it her that did this to him? But how?

He started to study her closer not daring to miss a single detail or else he might run into trouble.

Soon he realized something. Was she even a human? She had long pointy ears and slender legs. She was even higher than he. What was she?

"Uhm I'm sorry to ask but are you a human?" He asked. This time he was a lot calmer than before.

"No. As you can see I am a half elf my mother was an elf so I have a high anfinity for magic but this country is weird everywhere else a half elf like me would become a magician but here it's like everybody can become a mage so I became a shopkeeper instead. Pretty weird huh?" Now he understood why he reacted so strong to her it was the mana flowing in her veins that attracted him so much.

He decided that he couldn't stay any longer or he would propably kill her so he prepared to leave but before he could the girl started talking about Ebenerz.

Apparently his full name was Alfred Ebenerz and he was currently on an auction in the middle of the market. If he only knew that earlyer he propably wouldn't have to waste his time here.

He said thanks to the girl with a friendly smile and left the shop. Outside he ran into one of his compannions his name was Narsus. Narsus had a really fine nose and could discern between humans based on their scent. He also looked pretty so basically every woman fell for him. When he smelled the woman inside the shop he was about to go in when Farsian stopped him.

"Stop don't go inside there. That woman is dangerous and I already know where Ebenerz is follow me he is in the middle of the market." With that Farsian ran towards the auction.

Narsus was still rather reluctant to part ways with this delicious smell but he still had orders to do so he left together with Farsian.

When they came to the auction it had already started for a while. At the moment there was an expensive looking dagger for sale but that didn't interest Farsian he only had eyes for one of the bidder. He matched the description of Ebenerz almost perfectly and Farsian was sure that he had found his prey.

"And the holy dagger goes to number 69 congratulation." On second thought Farsian started to become interested in the dagger. What did the auctioner say? Holy dagger? Farsian felt his c.h.e.s.t tigten as he looked towards Narsus who was also very nervous about this new dagger.

Why did it have to be a holy dagger? Couldn't it have been a holding dagger or something else but

a holy dagger? They had been screwed was it the mage? Was this all a trap?

He still had to go throu with it in case it was not a trap. He loathed that auction house and wished that he could burn everything to the ground.

"Farsian what do we do now?" Narsus asked.

"For now we will keep an eye on him. Remember his smell just to be sure." Farsian instructed Narsus.

"Now for our next item on the list. Ancient blood magic from a tribe far away. The start prize is at 50 gold coins." Farsian almost couldn't believe what he heard. Was this some kind of god sent present to him? Was he a good vampire? And was there even a god that would gift him such a present? Who cared about the small details all that mattered was that there was a spell on sale that could actually benefit him.

He looked towards the spotlight and saw an old scroll on which there were red letters.
