Farsian: The King Of Vampires

Chapter 9 - A New Assassin

"Mercy!! Oh God of Light! Please have mercy on me!" Desperate wails could be heard but no one seemed to care. There were no neighbours around to listen to the desperate man that was begging for his life. Why? Because they were either dead or paid to go away. All the buildings around the inn were vacant. But how should the thieves know that it would all backfire on them eventually?

"Shut up mortal! Your god can't help you here now." It would have been a diferent story if a priest was present. A priest could call on holy magic do banish evil but they were only a small group of thieves how could they hire an expensive priest?

Kaiser went up and down in the house to check for hidden rooms and valuables.

After finding nothing of value but one hidden torture room he rejoiced at his luck. Who would have thought that they would run into such a fine establishment?

"Kaiser did you find anything?" Farsian asked as he saw him coming throu the door with a big smile.

"I found the torture room!" Kaiser replied almost beaming. He was getting ready to move all the thieves that survived their little meal to the bas.e.m.e.nt.

"Wait what? Why would they have a torture room?" Farsian asked full of skepticism.

"Why would I know? Ask them when we moved them there."

After all was said and done they learned why a bunch of thieves had a torture room. Apparently the room was there before they took over and was part of a group of assassins that worshipped a old mummy. Why they did that or where they went nobody knew but after taking over they still got the occasional job for an assassin so they were not foreign to murder and torture.

Being an assassin paid well even better than being a thiev. They could earn as much as a thousand gold if they killed the right person. A normal thiev wouldn't have that much money in a month or even multiple months if the buisness was running bad.

But now everything was over...

You could say that they were out of business.

Kaiser was thinking hard and together with a few other vampires including Farsian they decided to take over from here and start work as assassins.

"Should we kill them all?" Farsian asked and looked towards the few thieves that managed to survive the torture. At present they were barely concious and breathing.

"No let's keep them alive maybe we should even transform one of them?" Kaiser replied.

"Why? Do they hold any value? If we turn them and they get spotted we are in danger. I like our smaller elite group better we went throu much together." Farsian was against turning new mortals especially when they were so weak. He couldn't remember what he did before he became a vampire but he was sure that it was not such a pathetic life.

"Ok let's just check if the custommers are worried or something about us taking over. If they aren't then we can kill them all." Kaiser didn't have any opinion on who to turn undead and who to let live.

They didn't have to wait long because at the next evening a mysterious magician appeared. He wore all black and had a long cloak that helped him hide who he was.

He appeared out of the blue and nobody saw him coming he propably used some spell to get there. He also didn't seem to look for trouble since he only stood there and watched the new owner of the inn.

"I wish to speak with your boss." The magician said with a dark voice.

The vampire in charge didn't care what the newcommer wanted or not he stood there and watched him carefully ready to slash at him. Kaiser soon came down and eyed the suspicious figure before asking the other vampire who that guy was.

The vampire didn't know so he couldn't answer but the magician didn't seem to mind and insted took the opportunity to introduce himself.

"My name is Merl before you guys took over a group of thieves lived here I wanted to give them a contract but I can tell that you are no foreigner to blood and gore how about we make a deal?"
