Chapter 36 - 35: The result of 3 months of training

'Calm your breathing, heighten your senses…' – William

*rustle*

'Dodge!'

Dodging the arrows coming from a corner I suddenly heard a rustle in the bush.

"Nyaaa~!!!" – Roanya

"Shit! Heighten my senses! Oh Fenrir!" Making a quick prayer I suddenly was enveloped with a grey aura and quickly parried the sharp claws coming at me.

"Twisted Vines, Blooming flowers, Flash Bang!" – Liliana

I heard the chant carried by the wind and tried to turn off the Wolf's aura in me but I was too late for a second. Suddenly Vines creeped out of my legs and binded me and white flowers suddenly bloomed in them releasing a bright light alongside a weird jarring sound similar to a screech.

"Nyaaaaa!!!" Cried Roanya who was writhing in the forest ground. I who had luckily closed my eyes at the last second propped myself in a stone while making heavy breaths. Hearing the sound of stepping on wood I looked up just in time for Liliana to drop near us. Looking at the writhing and rolling Roanya I looked at her with reproachful look.

"S-sorry I though she will pop out later on." She said while looking fl.u.s.tered. Zip it woman! I know you're an airheaded sadist! I retorted mentally.

Looking at the blushing elf who just mixed a mandrake in a spell and the writhing cute beastkin in the ground I suddenly have gotten in the mood to remember this 3 months of training.

It's already three months since our training started and man it was really hard. To be honest I was nearly giving up but seeing my parameters rising it made realize how effective this training is. I started with a schedule for the day is 6 hours of sleep/rest, 6 hours of blacksmithing in the early hours, 6 hours trying to defend myself from the assaults of Roanya in the afternoon and 6 hours of magic training from Liliana.

Rangka-san taught me how to properly use the hammer and such, he was first disappointed when I told him I was mostly using tools to compensate my lack of talent when I was in my home world but that did not stop him from teaching me. I thought of it as really hard but later on blacksmithing felt more relaxing and I can feel a sense of pride every time I make something till I can't even do things properly without using a hammer in a single day making him laugh.

Roanya's training was the most mentally and physically hard for me. In those 6 hours of training I must avoid and defend from her countless assaults to the point I need to keep my senses ready for the food I have in hand might suddenly vanish. It was hard mostly because she chooses environments like alleyways, forests and tall grasslands (courtesy of Liliana) as our training ground. She also taught me how to commune with spirits of nature and ask for strength like buffs in a game.

Liliana aside, she taught me how magic works around here alongside teaching me herbs and plants that are both dangerous and beneficial. She taught me also how to properly use a bow even by moving, it seems there was once a Hero who was friends with the elves that was taught how to wield a bow even by jumping from tree to tree so the skill can be passed down to other races even if it's a deteriorated one that does not rely on elven physique. Aside from the dangerous magical experiments that tends to singe me with explosions it was good all around. I also was taught of the 'language' of this world so that I won't get under some misunderstanding.

There was an incident years ago that a Hero accidentally blurted out something perverted when translating it to their language that's why it was a necessity to even have a basic understanding of the various languages here.

Aside from my training I saw Yamada's teacher and boy she was fierce. She was teaching Yamada and Lee Hyun together and I heard from him how she tends to throw them into territories where dangerous creatures lurk abound. Looking at such a woman with red hair and a dragon lady like temperament I later learned that she was actually a descendant from some dragon in the East that's why she was interested at Yamada.

James is also taught by the Grand Commander in strategies and sword combat alongside by a saintess from the temple of light. I later heard that the saintess and the nun who leered at me was the same person but that is a story later on.

The girls from the Lost Banshee was actually training also but I later learned that the one teaching them is Zero who learned of their presence in the palace that's why they are sometimes not around.

My training had gotten a bit harsher in the last month due to when Liliana and Roanya suddenly hit it off that's why my combat training is suddenly joined by this two making Rangka laugh out loud. I also learned the various quirks of my instructors in this short three months. Rangka-san tends to drink almost in every moment even when blacksmithing that I even question him why. The man only said how drinking makes him gain some inspirations.

Roanya tends to sneak in my bed and turned me into a plushy making me wake up with her drool splashed on my face. Aside from questioning if I smell like catnip the mystery of how she can bypass the countless Bounded Fields I set up alongside Ruby and Sapphire's is still a weird phenomenon that plagued our three minds.

The worst one was actually the stoic and serious Liliana. She is weak in alcohol… badly. One time when she accidentally drunk a cup she was quickly drunk and nearly stripped at the bar we were staying forcing us to drag her out and ban her from ever drinking. There were some perverted bastards also who learned of her capacity and kept on trying to let her drink forcing us to watch out for her all the time making her embarrassed. She is also a closet sadist even if she is denying it badly. One time when I accidentally spilled a potion in a vine-like herb it suddenly grew and tied me in the air and kept hitting me… she was just looking with shell shock with a blushing look.

Scarred mentally I looked at her pleading her, it took out 10 minutes to untie me and destroy that abomination to ashes making Lancer laugh.

"Training is over for today William I think you should rest now." Hearing the voice of Liliana who just calmed down I nodded and propped myself. Approaching the calming Roanya I patted her head to help her calm down.

"*pur* William's patting is the best nyaa~. Crazy Lili-chan made my ears go giiiiii~ nyaa~" She said with a blissful look. Standing up I already was familiar of her clinging to me and continued to walk back to town. Looking at the apologizing Liliana we finally walked out of the forest just in time to meat Yamada and Lee Hyun who have a tattered and exhausted look.

"Yo~ Yamada you doing fine?" I said while grinning.

"Zip it catnip I'm super tired right now I need my bed." He said when he looked at me with tired eyes. Twitching at the spreading nickname I approached him and asked.

"So anything good today?" I asked him while smiling and secretly giving him a piece of the mandrake Liliana used as a catalyst. By the way aside from using the natural flora in using spells, the elves can graft plants/seeds they carry around that's why they are one of the most unpredictable enemies around.

"Hmm yeah we found something good aside from being chased by a pack of Garagas." He said and giving me with an herb resembling a vine that is being covered by rocky bark. This herb is good stuff I thought. Aside from that Garagas are wolf-like monsters with teeth that have a huge resemblance to sharks and a very aerodynamic body that works in packs and chases their prey like no tomorrow and with their speed that feels like a huge bullet flying to you they are dangerous monsters that can hunt down beings with bigger size than them. It seems they escaped by jumping in a river looking at their wet clothes.

We tend to exchange stuff like every time we travel outside. I trade the leftover herbs to them that Liliana left behind or what Ruby finds and with their strange luck of repeatedly being dragged into mess the two here that resembles tattered wuxia protagonist sometimes give me different kinds of rare goods.

Sadly, I only get a small cut from their findings cause Liliana and Ruby always asks for a piece…

"Come to my place tonight Yamada because we need to prepare the stuff we need for travels." I looked at him meaningfully and when he got the signal his eyes widened and nodded. Lee Hyun who heard us talking looked enviously at Yamada, the guy is going to be carried around by their teacher in going to the academy we are going to be enrolled and both of us was the only one going solo from our group.

We already asked permission to go solo from our teachers and walk to the Terrasia Academy where we heroes are going to be enrolled, it will take us a month from here to there in traveling just in time for a new school year to start alongside us going to different worlds.

The vampire already reminded me that I need to do the jump tonight or I will truly miss the timing to 'sneak out' of this world without being noticed. I already prepared necessity from food, clothing-style of different times and cultures I secretly asked to tailor from a classmate and various tools because the old man is tightlipped with our destination.

I even secretly practiced how to make a chainsaw made out of magical energy if we are going to be sent to a zombie apocalypse if necessary, better be prepared than dying~. Jokes aside I already arrived at the dorms we are staying and waved at my teachers' goodbye. Tonight I'm going to travel to another world… again!

"Hmm remember what that old man said? The three worlds we are going is a preparation period for something big later on." – William

"Yeah~… wish it's not some scary place world though…" – Yamada

"Don't worry we did not get a weird message from our computers/phone when signing this shtick anyway." – William

"Hmm for you lot to try to steal my treasures are you tired of living! I'm the young master of the Ho–*splatter*" – ???

"I stopped counting when it reached 20 already… I fear that it's going to be much worse if we go to East even…" – Yamada
