Fenrir: The Wolf Overlord

Chapter 15 - The Perfect Matchup

"So, shouldn't we tell each other about our quirks?"

Cipher glared at his supposed teammate. The two of them were in the villain team and they had to either protect a fake nuclear weapon or capture the hero team.

"No need. You protect this thing. I will take care of the two."

"Wai..."

Cipher started to turn away without responding to his teammate. He has said what he needed and he wasn't going to bother saying it twice.

He just wanted to get this worthless training done. If it was someone combat related or someone strong, he would have fought against them in an attempt to become stronger. Unfortunate for him, his opponents were neither strong nor had combat related quirk.

He silently walked out of the room, yet every step brought forth a large amount of pressure from his body. The pressure could simply be described as 'Silent but Dangerous'.

'Kirishima is directly taking the stairs while the girl.... So foolish...'

Cipher shook his head disappointed and proceeded to walk in the direction opposite of, from where Kirishima was coming.

'It is so foolish when you don't your enemy's power after all.'

Cipher hid his aura and slowly entered a room. The room was filled with normal home furnitures making it look like people lived here, unlike the previous room he was at.

But he hadn't come to look around. What he needed to do was simple, too simple in fact. He just had to walk to the other side of the room, as casual as possible.

But when Cipher did reach near to the other door, he suddenly raised his right hand and directly grabbed the air to his right. He then instantly swung his hand with enough force that it cracked the door altogether.

Others might look at him weirdly, since be swung his hand in thin air, but his actions had no hesitation. It wasn't meaningless either.

A soft and muffled voice soon came from the ground in front of him. This proved it all. He had grabbed the invisible girl, Hagakure and slammed her on the door.

"H-how d..?"

Hagakure tried to stand up and talk but she never managed to finish her question or stand up at all. A gauntlet had abruptly connected with her face and it was the last thing she saw before losing her consciousness.

"So, your invisibilty doesn't apply if you bleed."

Cipher spoke out as he looked at the blood traces that appeared in the air in front of him. It was the place where he hit with the gauntlet, since he presumed that there was the head of the girl. But of course, she wasn't able to respond to him as she was already out and cold.

<Cipher, are you trying to kill her?>

All Might's voice resounded in his ears but Cipher paid it no heed. His concern should have been non existent as he had never tried to kill her, instead he was as delicate as he could be.

"I made sure to hold back, so she shouldn't be dead. Besides you were the one to say that this was supposed to be a real battle experience."

All Might flinched and he sighed the next second. He seriously wondered if he would be able to win against Cipher in a speaking contest.

<Make sure she is fine.>

Relaying this information, All Might brought the microphone down. He turned around and looked at the anxious and shocked faces of all of his students. He knew he needed to say something reassuring to all of them, especially the concerned girls.

On the other hand, Cipher did as All Might asked and checked up on Hagakure's condition.

It wasn't anything reliable since her whole body would have been invisible, if not for the blood traces which outlined a portion of her face. He nodded his head when he realized the bleeding has already stopped.

After that, he grabbed her head with his huge gauntlet and proceeded to walk towards the place he walked through previously. It was the place where he could smell the scent of Kirishima right now.

<What are you doing?>

Once again, All Might's voice resounded in his ear. Cipher clicked his tongue in annoyance. If it was only once, he can accept it. But this was the second time he was stopped.

"I am just taking this girl along with me. It should not mean much, so don't interfere in this battle anymore."

Cipher spat out and waited for a response. When he received none, he resumed walking towards his destination, while dragging the unconscious girl behind him.

Just a minute later, he was already in front of the remaining kid. His teammate and Kirishima was battling out with each other with no clear winner. One side was basically all offense while the other side was mostly defense.

Cipher didn't bother watching the fight for long. Their fight was childish, yet both of them were so absorbed in the fight that they didn't even notice him at the door, even more the room was completely empty.

He clicked his tongue and swung the unconscious girl at Kirishima. Just seconds later, he was slammed onto the wall behind him. To say the least, both Ojiro and Kirishima were completely surprised.

Kirishima was the first to regain his focus. He felt a weight on his body and he tried to move it away on instinct. But he suddenly stopped because he had realized.

"This.. Hagakure, is that you? Oi, Hagakure?"

"Give up. She will be unconscious for quite some time."

Cipher walked towards Kirishima and blankly answered him. He got a glare in return. He didn't care about it as he calmly spoke.

"Forfeit. You have no hope of winning now that I am here."

"There is no way I am going to forfeit. It is not manly at all."

Kirishima suddenly shouted and he proceeded to stand up. He gently laid Hagakure's invisible body beside him and glared at Cipher.

"Battle with me. I am not going down without a fight."

Cipher raised an eyebrow and looked at the kid in front of him, annoyed by his persistence. But he suddenly had a realization.

He realized that this fight might not be meaningless as he thought. Instead it might be a way to truly find out his strength that has increased over the years. Realizing this, he looked back at his teammate and spoke out.

"Stay back. I will deal with him."

His teammate reluctantly nooded his head and submitted silently. Cipher was disappointed by his teammates' swift submittion but he didn't say anything.

He turned his head back at Kirishima who was already in a rough fighting stance. He slowly took off both of his gauntlet and also got in a fighting stance.

"Are you underestimating me?"

Kirishima shouted out angrily. It seems that it hurt his pride when Cipher took off his gauntlet. But that was unusually not what Cipher was trying to do, even if he was really doing it.

"No. I am going to test my strength. That's all there is to it."

"...Does that also mean you are not going to use your quirk?"

"Yes."

Hearing his short response, Kirishima immediately rushed forward. Cipher didn't expect that the kid would rush forward, letting anger control his movement. He shook his head in disappointment.

He then ducked under the punch and immediately struck back at Kirishima. Kirishima coughed up spit and looked at Cipher with disbelief. Cipher brought his left hand and punched him in the head.

*Bang*

Kirishima was slammed into the wall. He coughed out once again and stood up swaying, from the sudden impact on his head. He couldn't believe that he lost even if he experienced it first hand.

'He broke through my hardening with just a single punch. And it was also only his brute strength... Am I really that weak?'

He started thinking while Cipher silently waited. Cipher had considered to push the kid further but this fight will be over in an instant if he does that. He couldn't have it since he still needed to test his own strength.

After some time, Kirishima finally looked at

Cipher with a determined gaze and spoke out.

"I guess you were not underestimating me at that time. You had enough strength to back it up... I am sorry for misunderstanding"

Kirishima lowered his head a little. He then brought his fists forward and grinned at Cipher, with determination to become stronger, crystal clear in his unwavering pupils.

"But I won't make the same mistake twice. Come at me, I will take on all of your punches."

"Now, that's like it."

Cipher also grinned and immediately rushed forward. He directly went for a right hook but Kirishima used both of his hands to block it.

After that, Cipher instantly used his left hand to punch him in his plexus. Kirishima was raised in the air for a short while but he quickly regained his posture and brought his hands down in an attempt to hit Cipher in the back.

Cipher dodged to the left and used his right hand to deliver a fist into his face. Without wasting a second, he used his left hand to deliver a punch into his c.h.e.s.t.

Just like this, he kept on attacking non- stop but Kirishima received all of his attacks head on. Cipher had a huge grin on his face as he continued on with his onslaught.

'This kid, he is the real deal. I take it back. This matchup..is the best.'

Cipher thought and landed another strong blow on Kirishima's c.h.e.s.t. He instantly stopped himself from landing another punch since he realized the fight was finally over.

Kirishima slowly lost his balance and fell down to the floor unconscious. But it was to be expected. He had already received more than twenty continuous punches, when he couldn't even handle a single punch at the first try.

Cipher silently crouched down and picked up his body and placed it on his shoulders.

"That was refreshing, kid.. No!!! You have earned my respect, Kirishima Eijiro. Let's have a spar some other time as well."

He then went to the unconscious girl, picked her up and placed her on his other shoulders. He then proceeded to glare at his teammate.

"Bring those gauntlets."

His teammate who remained silent during the whole time, gulped and frantically nodded his head. He was honestly scared, scared of the ruthless and maniac like person he was teamed up with.
