Flames Of Passion In Los Angeles

Chapter 30 - We aren't done yet...

*Ana POV*

Slowly opening my eyes, I find myself in a different room. James's room, on James's side of the bed.

It did not take long for the most obvious possibility of how I get here to enter my head.

I proceed on trying to get myself to sit up. Thankfully, I am feeling better than before the nap. I was abruptly interrupted by the door as it opened. It revealed James, with a tray in his hands.

We both spend a brief minute looking at each other.

"I wasn't asleep for long, was I?".

A smile appears on his face. "You slept like a baby for three hours straight...".

My eyes widen, "three hours?".

His smile is still on his face as he nods.

Next, I raise my eyebrow at him.

"Why did you carry me up here, I thought I said that I wanted to be in the living room...".

He lets out a chuckle.

"You know, you looked really squashed on the sofa, I was scared you might fall and hurt yourself. So that is why I carried you up here," he pauses for a brief second. "How... did you figure that I carried you up here?".

Once again, I raise my eyebrow at him.

"You are literally that only one in this house that is capable of carrying me," I reply.

"No, I know that, but sleepwalking is also a thing you know. Maybe you sleepwalked up here...".

I roll my eyes at his non-sense. If I were to have sleepwalked somewhere, I would have most likely woke up outside now.

"That sounds ridiculous, you know that?".

He lets out a chuckle as a reply.

I then divert my eyes to the digital clock that is to my left, on James's bedside drawer.

It reads; 14:28.

"Wait, wait... what about our date? It is back on?".

James replies with another smile.

"No, not until you feel better.".

"But... I do feel better..." I reply.

"You are still as pale as a ghost," he says.

I roll my eyes. "Does not mean that I am feeling unwell...".

"I know I am no doctor, but I am pretty sure that paleness is the number one sign that a person is feeling unwell," James replies.

I let out a gentle sigh as I know he is not wrong.

"Okay... I may not feel like my normal self, but I am better than before I napped.".

He does not reply, instead, he walks closer to me before sitting in the bed, placing the tray on his l.a.p.

"So?..." I ask.

"So... what?" he asks back.

"Are we going?".

He gives me an amused chuckle.

"Why do you want to go so bad to this date anyway?".

"I don't know..." I reply. "I guess... I mean, this will be - well would have been - our second date, you know that?".

I notice his eyes widen slightly.

"But I also what to spend more time with you..." I add a couple of seconds later.

As I finished the sentence, I notice a smile grow on his lips, his eyes remain on me.

He then nods. "I know you do, baby. So do I.".

"Also, since I came up with a tray of food - as you can see - I wanted to ask you if you were hungry?".

I shake my head in response, "thank you, but I am not hungry... yet...".

He smiles once again before chuckling. Then, he brings his eyes back to me.

I look into his blue pearls as I notice them change ever so slightly. They change a shade darker as his look on me is rising in intensity.

Abruptly, he lays the tray aside before leaning in closer towards me until our faces were only millimetres apart. His knees are on the bed as his arms cage me. I have nowhere to go and if I were to be honest, I wouldn't want to go.

Next, he brings himself closer to me, stopping only when his lips pressed onto mine. He kisses me first before I kiss him back.

He gave me one final kiss before slowly moving back.

"I love you," he whispers.

"I love you even more," I reply, cupping his cheeks before kissing him.

Our lips slowly part from each other and when I open my eyes, I notice his eyes looking into mine.

"I hope you won't mind, my love, but I have some work to finish and once I have that done, I have planned to spend the rest of my day with you, beautiful. We will do whatever you want.".

I can feel my eyes suddenly light up, and I can see that James noticed it too. I don't even have to say what it is that I want to do, he already knows.

"The date, huh?" he asks, amused. A big smile grows on his face as he noticed my smile.

"I am telling you, I am feeling better now." I try to convince him.

He raises his eyebrow at me before moving back to his original position on the bed.

"But what about all the food, it would be too heavy for your stomach to handle since you got sick like... three hours ago.".

"To be honest, that should be near the bottom of your list of what you should worry about," I reply.

He surrenders with a smile before putting both of his hands halfway up.

"I'll see what I can do, beautiful...".

I burst with happiness, I am so happy that I attach his with a hug. I grip him tightly as if he was to walk away from me.

"Thank you so much, James. This means so much to me!".

At first, he replies with one of his deep, manly chuckles. "I know it does, I only want to see you happy and smiling," he adds.

"You honestly don't know how you make me feel when you smile..." he adds a few seconds into our gently swaying embrace.

"I know it does..." I begin, "that is why I always smile when you are around me... okay... I try to always smile when you are around me...".

"So first you steal my heart and now you steal my lines, huh?" The sound of pure amus.e.m.e.nt in his statement causes excitement to swirl in my stomach, making my smile grow bigger and bigger.

As we part from our embrace, my eyes are met with his precious, blue pearls. Immediately, I see his raised eyebrow, it just adds to the excitement I feel.

"Huh?" He asks. He leans towards me as his hand slowly travel down my body, towards my h.i.p.s.

"Do you want to know what happens when you steal both my heart and lines?".

I shake my head, "what?".

"Do you really want to know what happens?" he asks.

"What happens?" I question.

"Do you really?".

"Yes.".

"Really?"

"Yes, what happens?" I inquire, beginning to giggle ever so slightly.

There was a brief moment of silence before my laughter shattered the silence. He begins tickling me, mercilessly.

As I laugh I hear him gently giggling along too.

I fully lay back down as I attempt to get his hands off me.

"Please stop... I'm sorry..." I try to speak, but I can't. In between my pauses, I can't help but laugh and laugh and laugh.

Finally, he stops before laying down beside me, wrapping his strong arms around me, letting out a giggle or two. That is also when I realise my teary eyes from all the laughter. I wrap my arms around him too, placing my wrists and holding him by his broad shoulders.

We stay like that for a couple of minutes before we both slowly break away from our embrace.

We both remain in our positions, laid out on the bed, looking at each other.

Suddenly, I felt his finger gently c.a.r.e.s.s my cheek, driving it down towards my jaw before making his way to my cheekbone. He does that a couple more times before leaning in and giving my cheek a kiss.

"I must get to work now, beautiful. If you need me, I'll be in my office. But after that, you better be ready because we aren't done yet...".

"We aren't done with what yet, exactly?" I make my voice very gentle, just above a whisper.

He replies with gentle growls. He brings his head closer to mine.

"You stole something from me, now it is my turn to steal something from you..." he huskily replies into my ear.

"I'm pretty sure you have already stolen my heart...".

He smirks. "And we will see what else I could steal..." he replies.

I instantly blush.

"And what exactly might that be?" I ask.

He raises his eyebrow. I see him raise up, resting his head on his wrist as his elbow is anchored against the bed before answering, "I dunno, maybe your ability to walk for the next day or so..." he ends his sentence with a wink. I feel my cheeks redden even more.

"A-and how would you possibly do that?".

He does not even have to use words, instead, he leans his body onto me. He presses his hardness into my body, gently grinding himself against me.

I close my eyes, trying to keep in the m.o.a.n that is on the verge of escaping my mouth.

"Hint hint..." he gently whispers into my ear.

Those were the last words he said before he gave me another wink and then standing up. He begins walking towards the door of our bedroom.

"Again, I'll be in my office if you need me, okay?".

I nod, before answering with a "yes".

Content, he gives me another wink before opening the door and leaving the room, gently closing the door behind him.

Moments pass of me staring at the door before I lay back down onto James's pillow, not long passes before my eyes begin closing and before I knew it, I fell back asleep.
