From Slave To Ruler

Chapter 16 - The main Touristic Attraction.

"I suppose I can give this a shot." Answered the lady sitting near the desk in front of Arthur Hare. Her embarrassment passed away bit by bit due to the mass sympathy Arthur showed for these ladies, ladies he barely knew. He made it clear that he wants to help them and others more than he wants to help himself. He bought whatever he wanted in life so far, in his thoughts "Now it is time to give. "Her hope slightly increased for the sake of other innocent victims she might be able to help in the future if she sticks to this opportunity, that helped her find the encouragement to become a security guard. With Arthur's steering, she took other women into consideration.

She became a victim herself a few days ago, knowing the traumas she experienced, she doesn't want to let other women suffer the same or similar fate. Not if she has the chance to do something about it. It took a lot of her nerves, self esteem, and guts to make this decision. Considering the traumas she has due to some l.u.s.ty men, she is one of the strongest here the moment she decided to stay. Imagine being day after day around the place which caused your traumas, would it get worse or ease with time?

She might think that she isn't doing much as one individual security Guard. But the 7 other women in the room thought the same thing as her. Even one can make drastic changes, imagine if one day in a city of 18,000 people, women walking without fear or protection from a man, imagine the positive image it can portray in front of other domains, positivity they might try to catch up on. Ever since the Kasteremas started the war 1,500 years ago, everyone has suffered. But woman the most. The effect of less brutality towards women here in Hawk Kingdom, will likely prove less effective towards other domains in Kasterema but it can make slight or big change here and there as time passes. So this is only the beginning. Thousands of minds can't be changed in a day after all.

"Now that's an attitude I'm proud to hear!" Shouted Arthur with a rise of enthusiasm and joy in his tone, not just his lips, but his entire face carried a big smile. the burden he carried on his shoulders now felt a bit lighter and he finally put self doubt aside for a moment. Arthur has a rather unique piece of mind. If he fails, he doesn't blame him or her but he blames himself, drowning in self doubt as he approaches a new task. He has it hard but he often pushes himself to his goals, often leading to success. That sort of mindset got him far as a 27 year old, he owns 10 businesses so far after all. "What about the rest of you ladies?" He asked gently as he looked at them with anticipation.

"I agree."

"Let's do this for the women!"

"I hope what you offer doesn't have holes in it."

"What I'm offering before you right now, is something I'm positive I can guarantee as time passes." Reaching his hand to his short black beard, he started stroking it while he kicked back in the chair now feeling more relaxed since he convinced more women, he gently added "I could of just lied to you all and make rejecting this offer, a complete fool's play. But I'm sticking to what i can really offer."

"If what you can offer is even half of what you are claiming, we have chances to change fate in the entire Country. This is a small start to important Continent history. I can feel it!" The women sitting in front of him explained. Her tone felt more easy going now. She didn't feel tense or embarrassed, she felt like she fitted in with this crowd.

"In time i will surely offer more to all of you and a lot of others who faced with rough fate in life. You ladies, are the foundation to a better future for Hawk Kingdom in general." Taking a light breath, he looked at them with a serious face, his eyebrows standing steady and his eyes preventing to blink. He said "I hope you ladies realize your importance to this project. The future can be shaped by you all as a unit."

"A unit."

"Rather inspirational."

"I hope we aren't going down an endlessly deep rabbit hole."

"Now if you ladies agree, please stand up and head towards Classroom 17." He pointed towards the door in the middle of his sentence. He is sure that he said all he had to say to these women. There is no need to extend this conversation because 2 more classes are waiting for him. The more they wait, the worse this situation can become. They might feel neglected which would portray Arthur as a negative figure.

The lady in front of him stood up right away, so did the second, the third, the fourth and even seventh. They all made their way out of the classroom with much will power, except one. one stood steady on the chair. When Arthur noticed who it was, in his eyes her being a huge part of his plans, his heart sank. It was the woman who was firmy described by everyone as the "Big b.r.e.a.s.ted one." And likely with one of the strongest trauma even though she was r.a.p.ed by one man.

Of course Arthur has no fancy towards her, although undoubtedly gorgeous. With golden brown hair reaching down her spine, green eyes glowing bright, a pique physical form and as pointed out by many "large b.r.e.a.s.ts" it wouldn't be a surprise if Arthur got attracted to her, but even considering those highly s.e.x.u.a.lly attractive characteristics, he doesn't see her with those eyes. No, he looks at her as a big piece of the puzzle to his plans.

Taking half a minute to think of the appropriate things to say, his self doubt conquered his feelings again. He was at a point where he convinced 26 women in a class of 27 but yet he felt unsuccessful because he couldn't convince one. Sure he first thought that he would be happy even if 60 in total joined! But now, to be so close to convincing the entire room yet failing. He felt overwhelmed. Could it be perfectionism? Taking a deep breath to let go of his anxiety, he broke the silence.

"So, I'm assuming my words didn't win you over, miss?" Asking gently and trying to put self doubt aside, he tried to reason with her.

"Auica. My name is Auica." She replied as she stared at the desk in front of her portraying an emotionless image, she felt broken.

"Miss Auica. Can you find it comfortable enough to tell me why you still choose to reject this offer? Maybe I can help." Sure he needs her greatly in his plans, but he can't help showing sympathy for her, his mind is just build up like that.

"It's beyond your understanding. I have experienced what no soul should. First, i lost my entire family. And now..."

"Now?"

"I..I..."

"You got r.a.p.ed?"

A tear dropped from her eye, then the other and what started as a small cry, continue being louder cry. Loud to the part where other women thought that Arthur is damaging her now when he saw that no one else is around. A couple of women even rushed from another class and bashed in the classroom where Arthur and Auica was in. When they saw that Arthur is not doing anything to her, and was even comforting her with words, they apologized and were asked to leave the room to give her space.

She used her hands to wipe off her tears but as she wiped one or two, 4 others broke out. She was floating over the edge of a mental breakdown.

"It is okay miss Aucia. Let it out." Clearly noticing why she wants to leave this place. He decided to take a more personal approach towards this situation. But he didn't say a word before miss Aucia stopped crying. While she is crying, Arthur can't talk to her about anything, all he can do is try and comfort her, it is the best approach. Taking over 10 minutes, she finally calmed down after Arthur told her several times to "Let it out." "You're in a safespace." and "I won't judge you." The tears she piled up until now, she let them out. She wanted to stay strong in front of the other women a bit earlier even though some cried themselves to sleep. But  Arthur triggered her emotions and she couldn't keep the burden in anymore.

When she finally calmed down, he finally decided to form a new offer for her. One that might work. "Look, miss Auica. I realize that you have many traumas thanks to this hellhole. But let me ask you one thing! Are you going to let whoever wronged you, escape unpunished?!"

"Yes."

"Hmm." Noticing that she has no fight left in her, no motivation. He decided to reveal more of his plans in hopes of those plans convincing her. "Look miss Aucia, you are the most important person out of these 80 women. I hate to say one is better than the other, but in this case. You are!"

"How am I better than the others?" She asked feeling perplexed, finally looking at him eye to eye. She probably took an offense.

Noticing her increase in anger, he swallowed his spit due to feeling nervous and added "My sources tell me that you are an Earth Ripper."

"How do you know that?" She stopped making eye contact with him and looked at the desk in front of her again. But at least she portrayed a more life filled image now. Earlier she felt empty, broken. Now she just feels angry.

"You do remember that ship, right?"

Getting her emotions completely triggered, she still remained calm trying not to cry again and under her breath she answered "yes."

"A man working for me, informed me that under the ship, a huge opening appeared out of nowhere. That can only mean that either you are an Earth Ripper or the Head Whipper is an Earth Ripper. And i know that moron isn't!"

"What if i am?"

"Miss Auica. I trust you enough to tell you my plans more deeply. Can i trust you with this?" Using this form of praise, which was common in bargaining and often works well, he was preparing one plan after the other that could finally convince her to stay.

"Yes i suppose."

"You are the final key to making Hawk Kingdom a safer place for women. Do you know why?"

"Because i'm an Earth Ripper?"

"Yes. Imagine if the word was spread about a gorgeous Earth Ripper woman setting foot in the Arena. No women fought in this Arena before and i can guarantee 100% that i can get you into the arena, let's just say that special people will carry out my orders."

Feeling bewildered about this whole new conversation, she decided to ask the obvious Arthur seems to be ignoring in her point of view. "But how would that benefit you? It would just make the King richer."

"Yes, but the Arena being a touristic attraction, with you causing half of the effect, we can solve this underpopulation, humanely. "

"Again, that would benefit the king only!"

"Not if i buy 10% of the Arena." He looked at her and gave out a half smile.

"I see what you mean." She smirked gently. That's the first time Arthur saw her smile. His heart skipped a beat but the effect she caused towards him was rather short lasting.

"So to make it clear, I need you in the Arena for touristic attraction. The King will offer citizenship to anyone who asks, and with the attraction you will cause, i expect a lot to come and live here. More people equals more profit, and therefore making the rate of success to my plans, bigger."

"But if a man touches me..."

Using this opportunity to throw the final emotionally triggering offer, or as he described it to himself "the big one", he proceeded to speak. "If you fight well in the Arena, no man can touch you. But if "touching s.e.x.u.a.lly" is what you mean, I'll have them executed and the authorities will turn a blind eye. Like i will execute the Head Whipper when the time is right."

Her tone sunk thicker and she no longer felt empty or emotionless. These two words gave Arthur Hare goosebumps, "I'm In!"
