Frozen Soul Trapped In Box Of Love

The darkness lingering around the mystery creature in the middle of living room. It's red eyes fierce enough to send me shiver.

'Whistle to the wind'

"say it properly"

"shhh.. Silent or we will die"

The voice is not from this guy. Then who is whispering inside my head. Some melody play in my head. Its worth to try, and I whistle as slow as I can.

"wwwee..weu.."

Unseen wind push the creature up to the air and its floating for a while. The thing close it eyes and it appear behind us.

"what the hell..."

It rise its arm, a big hammer that on fire appear in its hand and ready to smash us. The wind appear again and the thing floating but higher this time.

"weeeuuu... Wuuuuu"

I whistle louder, the wind get stronger and it makes the creature struggling. I knew the creature cannot escape. Driven by my curiosity, I step forward to have a clear view of it. The creature now trapped inside a round shape of wind prison.

"Aya, thats dangerous. Stay here"

"It's fine"

"No. Don't let it see your face."

"Ssshhhhh..."

I asked him to close his mouth. But I stop and get a cloth on the floor, and cover half my face. If the problem is my face, settle it by cover them.

"'I see you now"

It talk to me. I can understand his words. Its piercing through my mind. It a like a solid shadow, with fiery eye, it take a shape of lion I think.

"No where to run princess"

"You know me?"

"I know your soul. I should claim whats mine"

I walk circling the air prison that held the solid shadow. It eyes following my step as it watch its prey.

"Do you have a name?"

"Insolent soul! How dare you speak carelessly."

It roars to the sky. I wonder if asking a name could be insulting for their kind. I hate people asking my name. Did they have same issue about it too?

"Night Soul Eater. Only their master could held their name. Its a binding contract of the servant and the master"

I forgot about him. He barely stand and walk beside me. With right hand holding his stomach and left hand with a knife, his face looked stern and his eyes cold as an ice.

"Shadow hunter. My kind almost perish because of your man"

They stare to each other. I can sense the killer intensity from both. Should I interrupt this reunion or let them catch up some memories. But I knew this small Island still got others resident so maybe its wise to interrupt this special meeting.

"So you have a master. And you just a servant?"

The intensity of murder now directed to me. The soul eater try to break out from the air prison. But it surprisingly sturdy by the fact it just made from wind. The force from the Night Soul Eater to strong but the wind is like a razor blade that swirls thousands times faster that make the solid shadow almost lost its form.

"I have a master, It will not too long before he came for you"

"Your kind always talk highly about your master. But then, they abandon their servant in the most pathetic way"

This fellow should restrict his agony, at least wait until I finish my question. I look at him and sigh, but then maybe he lost precious comrade or family in the hand of Night Soul Eater. So I just continue my question.

"Who your master?"

"He was abandoned by its master. He failed the mission twenty years ago aren't you?"

"What? Then why do you need to do this, live freely than"

"Its not easy, night soul eater has a weakness. As the main element is shadow, their fatal enemy was the brightness of the sun."

I felt like annoyed for a moment. It is grateful to have so much knowledge but since I am asking to the other creature, I actually wish the creature in questioning itself reply me. I slightly give him a look but he seems looking to the prisoners with a hawk eyes.

"the contract binding will let them have a transfiguration. They can have a human figured and live like human being. That's why having a master was everything to them"

"Knowing so much aren't you rotten soul. Smells like blood in every inch of your soul. Yet acting so noble in front of the princess"

Surprisingly this guy look calm. with all the mean words that spill out he didn't give any reaction. But it was me who seems irritated. He keeps saying i'm a princess.

"I am not a princess. Stop saying that."

The Night Soul Eater gave a nasty smirk and arrogant tone. He keep toying me with his words.

"I see. You don't know. You were a princess that came from ancient lineage. Very powerful and delicious soul. Isn't it correct Liam. It has been so long since my last try to kill both of you"

I looked at him, asking for some explanation. But he just stand still and calm. Then he tilt his head. Look at me from his shoulder.

"Its time for you to call me by my name. Liam Carl Schneider"

"Liam?"

A thunder struck and heavy rain pouring outside the window. In the darkness of the night, the name gave a heavy struck to my heart.
