Frozen Soul Trapped In Box Of Love

Aya just get out from the bright sight of the market and now she and Aiden was standing looking at some dark alley.

The damp air with the musty smell was unpleasant, as deep as they go to the dark, rotten flesh smell pierce to their nose. Aya want to vomit, she held her mouth tight.

The alley was so dark and narrow. With a little light from the main street, Aya walking carefully. She kept her pace so she will not be far from Aiden. Just as Aya want to ask him when will they stop walking, Aiden raised his hand.

Aya could hear a soft crying coming from a dark corner in the end of the alley. It was a baby crying softly and it sound so weak like barely could be heard.

He ask Aya to stay where she was and he take out the floating flower he buy just now. He put it at the middle of the wall end. He open the lid and a soft humming coming from the bottle. The flower was humming.

From the shadow on the floor, Aya saw a small hand was crawling out. She gasp, holding her mouth. A small baby was crawling out from the shadow but she only see the head and half of the baby body. The baby was crying but she didn't want to get out from there.

Aya was going forward, she felt sympathy, empathy looking the crying baby in the dark alone crying and no one coming to help. But it is weird, the baby was not a normal thing. But Aya cant resist the urge to hug, to give love.

Her head telling her that is not a real baby. But her body moving slowly towards the shadow. She almost there, her hands reach out to the baby.

Something is moving inside the shadow. No, the shadow was not a shadow. The baby takes Aya's hand, and the grip was too strong for a small creature.

Aya looked back, looking for Aiden. She soon understood that she needs help, that things is dangerous. But the young man was calm, his eyes look cold and dark.

For a moment, Aya thought that he actually want to kill her. He trapped her to follow him and let her die like this. Tragic dead which is eaten by an unknown creature.

The moment she felt helpless, she demands his aid immediately. Not by her spoken words but by her strong will to survive. She just wants him to save her, to make her live.

The will was so strong that she can feel her eyes in tears and her jaw was stern because she clenched her teeth too hard.

By then she saw Aiden was pulling something from under his cloak. Its shining and long with double sharp edge which is burning by a blue flame.

Aiden thrusting it directly into the baby's head. It pierced through the small head, the innocent and angelic face now drenched in red blood.

Aya blinked, then felt her heart squeeze to a halt in c.h.e.s.t. She holding her breath arguing with her inner self that what happen in front of her will be over in no time. Aiden then swing the sword and Aya saw the baby little hand was separated from its body.

Aya hold her breath, the pungent smells from the blood make her nausea. The tiny hand dropped to the cold floor. Aiden was calm while Aya could hear a loud screaming and scratching from the shadow.

Aiden sword drag the baby outside the shadow. Aya thought she definitely would see the poor baby will be laying on cold ground.

But what happened next is something beyond her imagination. The baby was part of a monster, the baby was attached to a hand of something bigger and ugly.

It has two heads, a human body but as big as a hundreds years old tree. The body covered by a toad skin texture. When it open it mouth to scream, an uneven sharp teeth show itself.

The monster was yelling at Aiden, the double head bring the double yell. Aya clap her ears shocking but she didn't move or run away. She scared but she want to look more, she need to understand.

"Aiden"

Aya shout, warning to Aiden about the next killer moved from the monster. It want to pounced on him. Aiden just stand there, didnt move even an inch and yet firm holding the long sword.

He moved the swords thrusting it deeply to the monster big fat belly. He then move it upwards and the two head now split into two body. The monster has turned to ashes by a blue flame.

Aya could feel the cold stone floor on her palm. Everything was real. She look at Aiden who now look cold, disgusting and evil.

She grabbed his collar shirt, she was short and she pulled his body to make him look at her eyes. His gazed was empty.

"You f.u.c.k.i.n.g asshole."

Her voice was trembling, she not need to yelling to show how angry she is. Her voice was low that it almost whispering but full of hatred and anger.

"tsch.."

Aiden look disgust by Aya hand and he pushed her hand away from his shirt. The swords has long gone.

"You see that things I killed just now was rampant on human world for few months and killed almost a hundred people. They lured human with their sympathy for the baby and when the human gets near, they will grab it and eat the human. Raw and fresh"

"Why on earth do you want me to die?

Aiden took the bottle and close the lid. The sound of lullabies was nowhere to be heard. Something burning inside her, the pain that once she felt when she faced Zaden. Aya clenched her shirt tight.

Aya felt a heat rising on her cheeks. Why do people want to kill her. She doesn't know her parents, she grew up from another foster family to another foster family.

She only knows the fact but she doesn't have the memories to claimed that everything she knew was true. Someone as high as a prince also attempt trying to kill her.

She felt a hand was holding her neck. When she looked upwards, Aiden gazed lock at her. Her heart's throbbing, the grip now get harder and she felt that her neck will break in any moment.

The slender fingers now tight around her neck. It starting to being painful and Aya just stared at Aiden eyes. She could lose her neck and die but she believe it won't be tonight's.

She does not fight back those forces that now holding her neck, without saying anything but simply stares at him and breath calm.

He moves his face close to Aya. Aya could hear his breathe near her ear. He whispering to her.

"if i want you to die, it will be by my b.a.r.e hand"
