Clank! Clank! Clank!

The sounds of two clashing swords could be heard. On an esplanade next to the barracks, normally used for guards to train, two human figures fighting could be seen. One was a middle-aged man in leather clothes, while the other was a young man in dark clothes of less quality.

The two people were no other than Aldarion and Gersten. It had been a week since the battle against the bandits, and Aldarion had gone to talk to Gersten for help. The Captain not only gave him a bag of coins as payment for his help, but he offered to train him. And that's what he's been doing during this week.

Thanks to the help of Gersten, Aldarion learned to use the sword, acquiring the skill 'Fencing (F)' and, in addition, he managed to increase his ability of 'Archery' to (E). Aldarion was becoming more use to of these two weapons.

The two had been practicing since dawn for four hours and they were exhausted. Although Gersten had more experience, his age also made him tire before, so it was clear that he was panting more.

In a moment, the two parted to observe each other, but, as he leaned back Gersten, in a careless movement, stumbled. Aldarion was not going to waste that opportunity and he went for the captain of the guard. Gersten, trying to block him, raised his sword, but with the few remaining strength, when Aldarion's sword collided with his, it went flying, leaving him disarmed.

Gersten, with one knee on the ground and Aldarion's sword, pointed at his neck, looked up at Aldarion and smiled at him. - "I think I have nothing more to teach you". - Gersten said with a cheerful tone.

At that very moment, a warning of the system sounded. - "Ding! The user has obtained the skill 'Swords Swords (E)'".

Aldarion was very happy. Even this week he had got any experience points to increase his level, he had managed to acquire skills, so he had become stronger, which was his goal. In fact, Aldarion was confident that he could begin his journey.

Pulling the edge of his sword from Gersten's neck, Aldarion told him. - "I think we can stop for today, why do not we go to clean up? Then we could go relax in the tavern".

Gersten nodded, indicating that he agreed. Then Aldarion continued saying. - "Yes, it will be the best. Today we will relax, so tomorrow I will be able to start my trip".

Even though he said it with a lower tone, Gersten could hear him,

making the expression on her face change from a smiling one to a completely serious one. - "So... have you already decided to leave?" - He asked Aldarion.

"I can not delay my trip anymore, I leave my home to live adventures and that would not be achieved by staying in Bree". - Aldarion replied with a smile.

"I guess you're right. I hope you come back to Bree to visit me from time to time. You know you're welcome at any time". - Gersten said as he put a smile of resignation.

The truth was that, since they met, they had begun to get along, and now Gersten's departure from his new friend, was hard.

"Of course! I know you will treat me well here". - Aldarion told him as he nodded energetically.

After this conversation, the two left to clean up and then met in the tavern, where they were drinking all day until they got tired and said goodbye to go to sleep.

....

The next day, Aldarion opened his eyes in his room. He was excited, but he had a headache due to the hangover. Aldarion, determined, stretched and got up, he went down to the tavern lounge and he ate his breakfast, just as he had been doing these last days.

When he finished, he approached the waiter, he paid for the room and the food. When Aldarion did it, he realized that he had little of the money they gave him as a reward left. He sighed for it and he said goodbye to the waiter while he left the tavern.

When Aldarion was about to cross Bree's west door, he heard a voice calling from behind. - "Aldarion, stop, I have to tell you something!"

Of course, Aldarion knew who was perfectly and, when the person approached him from behind, Aldarion turned around and he said with a tone of humor. - "What's wrong Gersten? You do not want me to go?"

Gersten smiled at him and said. - "I know I can not stop you, but since you're going west, I thought you could do me a favor".

After listening to him, Aldarion nodded to him, telling him to continue. - "You will see, on the way to the Brandywine bridge there is a farm. It is just north of the Barrow-downs. I have received a notice that a package must be sent to the owner of the farm. I was wondering if you could do it since it did not deviate from your path".

At that moment, a warning came from the system. - "Ding! New mission detected 'Take a package to the farm' do you want to accept it?"

This decision cost him a lot because Aldarion knew that there were many treasures there and that he could find a better team, but the ghosts were too frightening and powerful, so he ended up resigning.

Therefore, the only way he had left, but wanted to make a big detour was to follow the road until you reach Buckland and cross the bridge in the Brandywine.

Seeing that he would have no problem, Aldarion mentally indicated to the system that he accepted the mission, and Gersten told him as he nodded and he took the package. - "There is no problem, friend".

Gersten, happy, helped him to keep the package, and he wished him a good trip. Aldarion, seeing that there was nothing more to do or say, thanked him for everything, he turned around, and he started to walk towards his next adventure.
