Long Fan was lying on the branch of the tree with his legs hanging showing the epitome of laziness, even with the mask he is wearing.

It's been close to two months since he left the 23rd Ender's city after killing He Xing's team. In these two months, he has been living a free life; hunting mutated beasts, and collecting data in the city he came across and learning interesting news from the locals in each city.

He improved a lot in this time; he got lot of battle experience from battling mutated beasts. He even fought and killed a couple of Stage 3 mutated beasts. He even learnt to cook the mutated beasts in the past two months and got quite good at it which solved his long time problem of saving up food.

Compared to two months ago, his imm.a.t.u.r.e aura has completely changed. He now portrayed a wild and carefree aura around him, but if you look at his eyes, it showed a sharp glint.

He has already crossed 9 cities in the past two months and he was just 2 days away from the tenth city, which is the 48th Ender city.

According to his calculations, it is the time for the year end exam in all the Ender's school around the world. And once the exam got over, the admissions for the next year will begin.

Long Fan was planning to enter the city posing as a person living in wild for the past year, and a person who naturally awakened his bloodline power due to a life and death battle.

This was a common occurrence in many cities; when the Ender's selection began a year back, there was 15 days time for humans to reach the cities nearby to get a chance to live safely and get admitted to school. But, there are many people who didn't reach on time and reached the city after few months and admitted into the city.

At first, he was planning to enter as a normal human being by hiding his bloodline power using the origin system and make it look like it was activated in the school admission exam. But, in one of the city he crossed, he found secret information in the school that there was a girl, who was a normal human activating her bloodline naturally when in a life and death struggle when she was adventuring.

When the school found out, she was sent to the hidden city directly even though she activated only the stage one bloodline power and a normal bloodline and considered as a special student.

He understood they considered the people who activate their bloodline naturally very important, even though he didn't understand the reason behind it. So he decided to pose as a naturally activated bloodline, moreover it will give his story of living outside the city more credibility if he had awakened a bloodline power.

Long Fan was thinking about all that happened in the past two months when a loud battle sound came from a certain direction. He got up and looked at that direction and found out it was the mutated beast he was planning to hunt after resting, which was at peak Stage 2.

He didn't understand who is so crazy to fight against that mutated beast, Crazy poisonous Hedgehog. Even though it was a peak Stage 2 mutated beast, Long found it can even rival a stage 3 mutated beast after checking its status a couple of days back.

Crazy Poisonous Hedgehog – Peak Level 2 Mutated beast

Strength: 75

Agility: 80

Characteristics: Can make the spikes poisonous which can attack long range, Goes crazy and turn into a ball which increase speed by 20% for 60 second and release all spikes of its body at the end of its charge, spikes can re-grow once after using all out attack.

Weakness: Once used the all out attack, strength and agility decreases by one-third, spike range is 100 meters.

Long Fan was speechless after seeing the data at that time; even the two Stage 3 mutated beasts didn't have such characteristics and realized it must be a special mutated beast.

He didn't attack it immediately and retreated at that time and spent the two days in killing all the nearby mutated beasts. He finally decided to fight with the Hedgehog today, but it looked like someone got to it before him.

He immediately moved through the trees and reached the location of the battle. He saw a seven men team wearing Ender's school uniform fighting the Crazy poisonous hedgehog; well more like getting pummeled by the hedgehog.

From the looks of it, it was clearly playing around with them and not taking them seriously at all since it hasn't used it's spikes are poison to attack them and overwhelmed with just its strength.

They are holding thanks t the guy in front, who is bulkier and larger than the rest. He is holding a big round shield which is as high as him to block most of the attack of the hedgehog. The rest of the team was hiding behind the big guy and attacking wit all they got at the hedgehog. But the attacks were neutralized by the dense spikes in the hedgehog which acted as a natural defense for it.

The team tried to retreat, but the hedgehog moved towards the direction they are retreating ahead of them, and attacked them blocking their retreat.

Long Fan looked at them and wondered why the hell these five people came to hunt the Crazy poisonous mutated beast with their strength.

What he didn't know was, he was the reason behind their suffering.

Turning back to a day before when the year end exam began. The first test was to hunt down mutated beasts outside the city in three days, and points were allocated to mutated beasts based on their stage. The top 200 students will be chosen for the second round.

The students rushed out of the city in full vigor to hunt down the mutated beasts to get selected for the next round. But, what they didn't know was Long Fan started hunting mutated beast around the city just a day before the exam began, and even the school didn't notice the changes since it was just a day before the exam.

The students found that the number of mutated beasts was very less compared to the usual and they started forming teams and started hunting. But, a day later they hunted down only few mutated beasts in stage 1 which escaped from Long Fan's crazy hunting. So, the students decided to look for Stage 2 mutated beasts and the group in front of Long Fan had the bad luck to come across this Crazy poisonous hedgehog.

Long Fan observed them and found that all of them looked haggard and tired; especially the guy who is holding the shield. His hands are already trembling and he was clearly at the verge of losing his strength completely. Once that happens, Long fan was clear that the hedgehog will kill every single one of them.

Long Fan thought he should help them which would give him a positive influence later in the city and might help him get into the school easily.

When he was thinking that, hedgehog made another attack and the big guy with the shield got knocked back and is shield fell down. He fell on the rest of the people hiding behind and all of them fell down by his impact.

Their face turned pale in horror when the hedgehog moved in for another attack. They shouted in horror when it got close and closed their eyes in fear but the expected attack didn't come after they waited for few seconds. They opened the eyes and found a person fully covered from head to toe in black clothes standing in front of them.

A barrier was formed in front of him who is blocking the attack of hedgehog. He turned around and spoke calmly "I suggest you get up and retreat immediately. I can't hold this barrier for long."

The big guy was the one who first came back to himself when Long Fan spoke. He was thankful for the hooded man before him who saved them at the nick of the time. When he heard Long Fan asked them to retreat, he can't help but ask "What about you?"

"I have my ways to leave safely, but if you guys delay any longer, none of us will be able to leave this place alive."

By this time, the rest of them also got back and calmed down. They all understood their situation and started retreating after thanking Long Fan repeatedly. If only they knew that all their suffering was because of Long Fan, they would have rushed at him to kill him without caring about the hedgehog there to kill them anytime.

Long Fan watched the team disappear from his eyesight and looked back at the hedgehog to start the battle which is also looking back at him in slight fear.
