Peter carefully traced the source of sound. It actually came from two middle age women. They were sitting at a table about twenty meters away from Peter’s place. They didn’t realize that somebody heard their low voice conversation and they were still talking.

Peter always wondered about the mysterious things after he almost suffered greatly in Cerriro town accident. But only several months passed and his journey was so smooth sailing until he met a hard rock of big criminal gang in the government. Now he had come to contact with something mysterious when they headed back to home. Peter was entirely attracted.

Moreover, Peter also wanna know how much fares could he get from Origin church for solving trouble like this. It could be said that he had been mouthwatering at the rewards on the quests list. A single one star order actually starts with at least one hundred gold coins. He couldn’t wait to achieve financial freedom with his own hard efforts. After all, asking money from his wife Jenny always made him felt bad. Even if Jenny had no opinion and even expressed her support for him, he felt that as a man he couldn’t continue just like that.

Peter got up and walked towards them. His sudden action was noticed by a lot of concerned people. Ben and other buddies stopped eating and silently chose to watch what Peter was going to do.

Peter stood in front to two middle age women and coughed, “Ma’am, may I know the special thing you were talking a moment ago?”

One of the women moved to the side and created a free spot on the long bench. She smiled warmly and said, “What a handsome and strong young man. Come, take a seat. If you want to know about it, we can of course tell you. That is not even a secret thing. And everyone in the town already knew it.”

Peter smiled politely and sat down. Many people, who were paying attention the surrounding, wondered what the shirtless handsome traveler wanted to do.

“Let me tell you. It all started three days ago. Several people who went to that ranch all lost contact. Of course, how could we just ignore it. So, a group of people went to investigate the situation at the next day. Families of missing people, police officers and some interested people. Guess what? Some said they saw ghosts. Some said they saw zombies in movies. Nevertheless, the team of nearly a hundred people only came back sixty or seventy people. It alarmed the whole town.”

“Yes, a part of people had already packed up their things and left the town at yesterday. Many people still chose to watch the situation. That’s also why you can still see people in the town although it is slightly deserted now. Otherwise, you could only see a ghost town if you come later.”

“Don’t think that we are making a rumor. Many people went to participate in purifying event this morning. But of course, it is actually just that some people want to set the entire ranch on fire like witch hunting in the middle age. I don’t know what these guys are thinking. Shouldn’t we just simply avoid staying near the evil place?”

“Minty is right. Although home town is very alluring, choosing to live in suitable place also matters. They also gathered another group of people and visited that ranch again at yesterday. Another thirty or forty people didn’t come back. Even the father and several nuns who went to participate went missing.”

“Listen to us, little friend. You should better bring your friends and leave this place right away. Laura’s family and my family are also leaving this town soon.”

“Yes, although young people like adventure, you should avoid evil place like that ranch. Sooner or later, evil things from that ranch would come out and our whole town will fall into disaster. We must leave here before that happening.”

Peter listened whole story patiently and thought about it. He did a quick calculation and finally chose to ask.

“Can you tell me that ranch’s location?”

“Young man, that place is really dangerous. We are not making up at all. For your safety, you should just leave.”

“Listen to us. A part of the people who went into that ranch will not come out alive. Life is precious. You shouldn’t do seeking death things. You’re still young. You also look strong and handsome. There are still many things out there for you to enjoy. After having the lunch, leave this sad place together with our families.”

Peter smiled calmly and said, “Ma’am, I am professional. You have to trust our abilities.”

Then, he pointed at his buddies who were also watching at him from their tables and said, “Look. All tall and strong men. Professionally trained to solve the strange and mysterious things.”

The two women suspiciously looked and one called Laura asked, “But there isn’t even a single weapon on you. Listen to us, young man. Don’t try your luck. This one is a really fierce evil thing which is killing people like little chicken.”

Peter felt that these two women would not tell him the location of the strange ranch at all.

“Our weapons are left on the vehicles. But don’t worry, we are really professional registered at Origin Church. We will take a visit and you might not have to migrate if things aren’t that bad as I think.”

Peter still politely talked, got up and walked back to his team.

When he sat down on his previous spot, the guys moved closer and even Emma moved over to listen. Of course, she got no space and no courage to squeeze into the big men. So, she simply hugged Allen on his back and embraced his neck tightly. Fortunately, Allen is not a normal guy. Otherwise, he would be probably out of breathe in a moment. But his muscles are so strong and firm that he couldn’t even feel anything special.

Looking at the interested people, Peter shrugged and said, “They say that there is a fierce evil ranch nearby and it’s already killed a lot of people. So, they are going to migrate away from this town. Basically, there is something evil at that ranch. I wanted to know the address but they kept advising me to go away from this place with them.”

Ben asked, “How is the danger level?”

Peter sipped the beer and said speechlessly, “How do I know? The only thing I know is that the evil thing at there has already killed sixty or eighty people during these three days.”

Ronald pursed his lips and muttered, “Isn’t that information useless? We know nothing but the evil ranch.”

The other guys remained silent like usual. Ben rubbed his forehead slightly and said bitterly, “Ronald, you go to some men and ask them about this. Listen, don’t ask the women.”

Ronald felt bad because he suddenly got a task due to his mouth. But he didn’t evade it and got up. Peter chuckled lightly as Ronald left.

Ben felt amused looking at their actions. As for Dale and Glenn, they were as calm as always. In most of the things, they would not express their ideas and thoughts and only wait for the order. Allen is the youngest so he always acts according to seniors. Mark is also the guy who doesn’t care much. If he didn’t find him with a woman in the bar at one night, Ben would have thought of Mark as a woodman.

Peter doesn’t care about these at all. He understands the situation of his team very well. Although Ben is very cautious and steady, he is really a good guy for a team. Although he is the captain of the team, Peter knows himself that he could not do it at all and he is happy to let Ben do many things like the captain. He really doesn’t care too much at all. After all, only strength speaks well in the new world he is in. As for how he understood, Jenny taught him well.

After a while, Ronald came back and said, “I got it. That evil ranch locates five miles at the east and it’s called Flying Dark Horse. If we go now, we might be able to meet the team doing the fire event.”

Peter nodded at Ben and said, “Let’s finish the lunch first and go slowly. The ranch could not grow legs and run away. Fewer the people out there, the better it is for us. After all, we must put on our armors.”

Ben nodded in confirmation and said slowly, “Armor is a guarantee for our safety. After experiencing the last battle, I bet no one would dare to ignore the existence of armor.”

The rest just shrugged and didn’t show any opinions.
