Chapter 3 - Yunlong the filial son

It had been about 10 minutes since that last statement, before Yunlong had managed to even regain a sense of intelligence, when he shakily questioned "so no anime worlds?"

At this point the Creator started questioning whether or not having Yunlong as a successor was even a remotely good idea.

Noticing the change in the Creator, Yunlong opted to be more serious, and asked "So my mission is to replace you and become the entity of the void?"

To which the Creator replied indifferently "Well if you do not want reality to be destroyed then it would be in your best interest".

Stunned Yunlong started thinking seriously about this statement 'Wait, since he is the void himself then if he was to cease to exist, what becomes of the void'.

Finally the Creator said with slight happiness "Mn, it seems you are not the dotard I took you for my successor, and yes, you can consider me the chains that keep the void stable, once I cease to exist, the void will destabilise, with each 20% being twice as fast as before as the 'chains' become less and the void can deteriorate faster, however I have full confidence that you will be able to become one with the void before the void even degenerates 10%, as although my intuition can be incorrect, I feel that the void will take billions if not trillion of years to deteriorate, thus you can feel relaxed"

Yunlong released a deep sigh as he was panicking at the responsibility of saving reality, but then was told that such events wouldn't even come for billions of years, who was Yunlong? A man who hadn't even reached 22, therefore such a timescale basically led to him having the false idea that it would be impossible for him to not achieve his objective before the void deteriorates, that is until the Creator spoke once more…

"Although that is my guess, there is a good chance that the void could deteriorate instantly or within a millennium after me ceasing to exist, after all I have no idea how this phenomenon works", said the Creator with an indifferent voice, however Yunlong could detect the mocking and somewhat amused tone of the Creator.

'This old fart keeps playing with my emotions, why is this daddy even the one that was picked to be his successor' thought Yunlong.

The Creator simply replied "I had just flicked out a strand of energy, and whoever it brought would be my successor, I like to leave things up to fate, she is a good girl by the way" said the Creator.

'Sorry… I have to lie to you my successor… the only reason you were chosen was because of her…' he added in his heart.

"Dammit could you stop reading my mind, also do I have some heavenly luck or something? First that gambling event and now I won the lottery of 'who wants to be the successor of the most powerful being in existence" said Yunlong with an expression that made it seem like he was one second away from crying from excessive bullying.

"Actually, you do seem to have more luck than the average mortal, in fact this is due to your soul being much more powerful than what a mortal body should possess, so maybe the void sensed this and brought you to me instead" said the Creator in a serious tone.

'Hmm… his soul strengthened just from being around her…'

"Anyway, enough of the nonsense" the Creator carried on, interrupting what Yunlong was going to reply.

"It is time for you to understand exactly what you will be heading towards, the verse in which I will be reincarnating you towards is the Against the Gods universe, if you have any brain cells you could have interpreted this from the talk about my daughter, the Primal Chaos and so on, so if you didn't understand this my successor, well… never mind, even if your brain is lacking I will put my faith in you regardless"

At this point Yunlong had several tick marks on his forehead, wondering why this old fart even hated him this much 'Wait, his tone has changed ever since I mentioned his daughter, kukuku, it seems that even the Creator cannot escape the fate of a father, a daughter-con!'

Fortunately for the Creator, he was too busy being serious explaining what was going to happen, otherwise he might have succ.u.mbed to the urge just to obliterate Yunlong and thus no one will be able to fulfil his wish of restoring his daughter.

The Creator continued "When I reincarnated my daughter, her source energy was separated from the Primal Chaos so she will no longer stop the flow of life, however in doing so she will have to re-cultivate towards her ancestral god realm, and to allow her to do so you need to find her World-Defying Heaven Manual and make the necessary adjustments considering origin energy to allow her to successfully become an existence that she doesn't hate" towards the end the Creator had a sorrowful tone and finally expressed his deep hope towards Yunlong, something that caught him off guard.

Yunlong replied with a full voice, exposing his will "Do not worry Creator, no matter what, as long as it is within my power, I will dedicate myself to fulfilling your final wish"

The Creator for the first time revealed a slight smile, as he himself understood Yunlong perfectly, so hearing this from his mouth first-hand, he could finally 'pass' through with peace in mind.

However, what he didn't expect for is for Yunlong to make a sudden request, changing his plans.

"Creator, I only have one request, could you create a clone or make yourself a mortal existence as Ling Yunlong and live my previous life out for me, looking after my mother and three sisters and ensuring they do not suffer and have happiness"

Once he finished saying his request, Yunlong dropped to his knees and kowtowed, something that he had never done for anybody other than his mother, although his pride was screaming not to go forth, for his family he was willing to do whatever it could for them to experience happiness and not the sorrow caused from his death.
