Arthur and Peter went to sit under the eyes of the class. As they sat Snape said "Mr Ningus, you are bleeding."

His voice was still the same emotionless one, despite the words he said he didn't seem to particularly care. Peter even replied "I know professor, I'm fine."

Snape nodded sluggishly and began his lesson.

To be honest, Arthur wasn't particularly talented in potions, he could follow instructions so he was at the top of the class, but that didn't make him talented in potions.

Still it was interesting to see the effects certain potions could have, so Arthur still enjoyed the classes. The same couldn't be said about Peter, though.

He really didn't like potions, because every time his hands touched a cauldron it would curse it and make the potion making fail. At least that what he said. Arthur was more inclined to believe that he was not doing it the right way, but who knows, in a world of magic, cursed hands may be a real thing.

But the thing Peter disliked the most was the fact that this class was the only one they couldn't choose their place. Snape would randomly select the seats for the students.

This time, Peter was lucky and got to seat next a Ravenclaw, Mathias Highburn. As for Arthur, he got to sit next to the cowering Draco.

As the lesson really started and they started to brew, Arthur was the only one who was working, Malfoy was looking at everything he did with a mixture of fear and respect.

After a couple of minutes Arthur decided to start talking "Am I that scary?"

Malfoy desperately wanted to say yes, but only in his heart. Outward he replied with a little stammer "No… no, it's just that I don't want to lower your score…"

Arthur rolled his eyes and said "Grow some balls, what would your father say if he saw you like this?"

Malfoy shivered and asked "Do you know my father?"

Arthur said "I dislike the Dark Lord, Voldemort. He is a piece of trash who only know how to rule using fear. Even without Harry he would have fallen quickly."

Draco palled and said "How… can you speak like that of him? Aren't you afraid?" But Arthur ignored his question and said "I don't like him, and I don't like his dumb followers. Among them is one called Lucius Malfoy. I'll kill him in the future. What do you say?"

Malfoy's face was now devoid of blood, and he weakly said "But my father was under the…"

"It's sad, to see even his own son believes it. Your father didn't get sent to Azkaban only because it was his fellow death eaters who judged him."

Not only Malfoy, the students around were also paling, obviously afraid of Arthur, after all, which normal kid would utter death threats like this?

And he was even saying to Draco's face he will kill his father! At this moment Snape's came, seemingly saving them "Mr Grindelwald, please stop unless you wish to serve in detention?"

The students who didn't hear what happened turned to look in surprise and saw the students around Arthur were pale. Although they didn't know what happened the source was obviously Arthur.

Hearing Snape's threat, Arthur internally laughed. Now that Arthur was in Slytherin, Snape couldn't take him points for his behavior.

But he replied "It was only a small joke, why are you all panicking? I'll stop, alright." Snape looked at Arthur menacingly but eventually didn't rebut him as he himself felt ashamed by Draco being so weak mentally.

Instead he asked "How is your preparation Mr Grindelwald? I hope all that chatter didn't ruin it?" He walked over and checked what was inside.

Everything seemed to be in order, so he added "Five points for Slytherin for this well brewed potion." The he looked at the others who were watching and said "Go back to your wok if you don't want to have twice the amount of homework."

Everyone quickly stopped looking and went back to their work. As for Draco, he kept a pale face as if he was still afraid. Arthur curiously asked "Why are you so afraid of me?"

Draco gulped and said "I'm not." Arthur stared at him coldly, and Draco spit it out "You know why." Arthur frowned and asked "Are you actually afraid of me because of my name? Isn't it just a name?"

But Draco shook his head and said "Your personality. You… You are too violent!" Arthur rolled his eyes and said "I'm not violent, I only sent flying a student. But you know, if you actually made the effort of trying to know Elena without thinking about that pureblood crap, then maybe I won't come kick your a.s.s."

Draco wanted to refute but Arthur whispered"You know, I wasn't joking earlier. I will really kill your family. And you know I'll be strong enough one day to do it."

Draco was on the verge of the mental breakdown at this point. It's funny, what fear can do. But Arthur is no Voldemort, he won't only use fear. Because he only has to throw an olive branch and… "Unless, you use the influence you gained thanks to your father and make the others stop bullying Elena."

Draco's eyes shined for a moment and he frantically nodded his head. Arthur then kindly smiled and said "You see? If we act like proper people then we can be on good terms. Who knows, maybe we can even be friends in the future if you can influence the others into proper people too."

Draco nodded half heartedly, because he didn't really want to, but he didn't want to be rude, not to him.

Actually, it may have sounded foolish of Arthur to say something like that, but he did so thinking about the future.

The class then went on in a lighter mood, as Arthur faked a warm attitude. Stick and carrot. Basic. Everyone was excited at the end of the class because they would have their first flying lesson next. Well all except for the Ravenclaw who would have to do it later.

But as they got out, Snape said "Mr Malfoy, a word." Draco stopped and stayed behind, not really wanting to have this conversation with his godfather.

Once the two were alone Malfoy said "Godfather, I'm sorry for how I behaved in front of others…" But Snape shook his head and said "I don't care, you are still kids, you will eventually forge your character. I want to talk about Arthur."

Draco nodded and Snape said "You need to stop fearing him. He is best not to be angered. Remember, I know what kind of person he is, and you don't want to be his enemy. No one."

Malfoy asked "Then I should be his friend?" Snape nodded and said "It would be best. An alley like him… Whatever you want to do in the future, having him as a friend would immensely help. But if he becomes an enemy…"

Malfoy nodded and Snape said "You can go…"

Malfoy walked away, but asked before going "Godfather, Arthur told me something…"

Snape shook his head and said "He wouldn't really harm your father, they don't even know each other." But he shook his head and said "No, not that. I already know he won't harm my family if I do what he asked…"

Snape interrupted "What did he ask?" Malfoy shook his head "It's nothing important, he just wants me to change the other's mind about that girl Elena. But what I want to know, is whether my father really was under the Imperius curse. Arthur said it was for this he wanted to kill my father. Because he wasn't under the curse."

Snape looked at his godson hesitating and asked in the end "Does it really matter? The past is the past." Malfoy dropped his head and walked away, his emotions in turmoil.

This was why Arthur proposed the friendship. He doesn't have the intention of doing so, but he knew that Snape, as his godfather, would advise him to become his friend.
