Neville's broom began ascending, and once he arrived five meters away from the ground, he pushed on his broom due to panic and began flying.

Neville was forming circles in the sky, unable to control his broom and screaming for mercy. As he looked at that Arthur felt mixed feelings. He knew what was going to happen and could stop it, but if he did then Harry wouldn't get revealed as a seeker.

This little change could modify many thing, with the biggest example being during his fourth year. If Harry does participate in the Tournament, and he most certainly will, how is he going to face that dragon and take its golden egg if this time he doesn't have his broom?

What about in third year, when Harry is playing Quiditch and the Dementors assault him. If he doesn't play Quiditch then this attack wouldn't happen and Dumbledore wouldn't get his reason for pushing the dementors out of Hogwarts.

Arthur felt sympathy and some respect fore Neville. The boy had his parents' mind devastated during the war and always has had difficulty with magic because he was forced by his grandmother to use his father's wand.

But most importantly Neville is someone who can be considered a true friend if on your side. In the fifth book, when the kids assault the department of mysteries and Harry is faced with an ultimatum, Neville is the only one who would rather die than let Harry suffer because of giving the prophesy.

And let's not talk about how he held up the entire school's moral by himself in the Seventh book, or how he beheaded the dreaded Nagini.

But even with all the respect and good will in the world, his injury to the arm is too important to be avoided, so Arthur resolved his mind and let Neville continue flying aimlessly.

It didn't take long for him to speed up toward the castle's walls, and then followed a series of falls, where Neville eventually fell to the ground.

Ms. Hooch wasn't angry but worried as she checked his arm. She then said to the rest of the class "His arm is broken, I'll have to bring him to Ms. Pomfrey. If anyone dares to fly while I'm accompanying Mr. Longbottom, you can already begin packing!"

She then supported the m.o.a.ning Neville and the two disappeared. Arthur saw the Remember all on the ground, it's red smoke disappearing.

Neville had gotten it this morning, his grandmother had sent it through an owl. Malfoy had done his usual fuss but had been stopped by McGonagall.

So now Arthur waited for Malfoy to act and do the same as in the books. But after half a minute no one had made a move yet.

Arthur looked urgently at Malfoy who was looking at the ball, but obviously restrained himself. Arthur was fuming. Why did that little blond prick executed his orders so fast?! Why can't he be an asshole a little longer!

Malfoy obviously wouldn't act, as he saw Arthur look at him. He saw how coldly he looked at him, and mistakenly thought that he was warning him not to do anything funny.

As the seconds passed Arthur sighed and suddenly Ron exclaimed "Here's Neville's remember all!"

He bent his body to pick it up, but it suddenly flew away. The students looked at the ball with confusion and then shock when they saw it landed perfectly in Arthur's hand.

The smoke in the ball turned green. Ron looked at Arthur with anger and said "Drop the ball you damn Slytherin!"

The obviously angered the Slytherin who began scowling. Arthur looked at him and asked coldly "Why should I? You were about to take it yourself."

Ron snarled "Neville is my friend so I'll take the ball for him! But you are stealing it!"

Arthur scoffed at his words but looked past him and said "Harry, I believe I haven't given you any birthday gift yet. I can give you one now."

Harry frowned and said "Arthur, put it down. I don't want to…"

"You don't to what?! That's it, give in to anger. I'll gift you something. You may be angry now, but you'll thank me later. To get your gift you must get the ball."

As he said that he extended his hand and his broom flew to him. Arthur mounted it and took off in the sky. Using the broom was quite easy.

Arthur actually was screaming inside in excitement as this was the first sky he ever flew, but he something important to do.

Arthur, up in the sky, saw Harry was hesitating whether he should come or not, so Arthur said "Come on, Harry don't be a coward, we used to break the rules all the time in primary school. Come, let's have fun. And I guarantee you, you won't be disappointed by your reward. And you won't get expelled. Come on!"

This broke Harry's last defense and he took off in the sky too. He stabilized in front of Arthur, and said with a frown "Why are you doing this Arthur?"

Arthur revealed a small smile and said "Don't you know? I'm the evil Grindelwald!" Harry rolled his eyes and said "Don't play this game, I know you, you wouldn't do this for no reason, and you don't have the time to do things only to annoy others, you are too arrogant."

He said the last part with a smile. As expected, Arthur pouted and said "Why are you all saying I'm arrogant? I'm not that much arrogant… But you are right!"

Harry tilted his head and Arthur said "Indeed, I wouldn't just do that to annoy the red head. I am doing this to give you a gift! But there are conditions! To spice things up, you will have to do something to get your birthday gift. Now I'll throw that ball against the wall of the school. Catch it, and you get your gift. Miss it, or ignore it, and you don't get any gift, and Neville will lose his ball."

Harry's eyes grew wide as he exclaimed "But I've never used a broom before. Please stop!"

Arthur smirked and asked "Do you trust me, Harry?" Harry replied without hesitation "Of course, I do. But I don't trust myself."

Arthur looked at the ball in his hand and said "I'll throw it. Now." Harry panicked and said "No don't!"

But Arthur smirked and threw it toward one of the towers, within which was McGonagall, probably correcting parchments she had asked her students.

Arthur of course didn't throw it in her direction praying for his luck and fate to do the job. He had used one particularly difficult spell that affected the surrounding light.

Thanks to magic Arthur can do something scientist thinks to be impossible outside of quantic physics, bending light. Light travels in a straight line, that much is know by any high schooler.

But thanks to his control over the element and the wonderful effects of magic, Arthur is able to bend light. This is what he uses to create illusions.

This time Arthur used two spells, one small and one large scaled spell. The small spell bent the light surrounding Arthur to make it go to his eyes, while the larger one affected the lights coming from the different windows of the different towers. The spell moved the lights and created many knots.

Those made the faraway windows appear as if they were in front of him, while the air in front of him seemed much further back.

It might sound like a simple zoom, but it's not as the windows still are behind the air but they appear to be nearer while the air seems to be further back but it is still in front.

This doesn't make any sense, and doesn't seem to mean anything, to be an error. It just seems to be impossible, and that' is exactly what Arthur's brain thinks.

Because it can't understand what's happening it is rejecting it, and the rejection needs magic to be handled.

But he doesn't have enough magic. If he suppresses the effects entirely then his magic would be depleted in one second. So to make the effects more durable he has to dilute his magic to last longer. However, this causes some effects, such as severe headache.

That's why after Arthur threw the ball and Harry flew off, beads of sweat began falling down his forehead. However he didn't make a sound. He stopped the magic as soon as he had found McGonagall so the pain was bearable. And it wasn't really anything much compared to what he has already endured.
