Harry Potter And The Dual Lord

Chapter 39 - Cliché or not?

Elena leaned toward Arthur and asked "Why does this seam so… legal? Isn't this supposed to be a black market?"

Arthur replied "Appearances may be mere illusions. What you see is order, right?" Elena nodded so Arthur added "This is only brought by the power this institution has gathered. No one dares misbehaving here because they fear what would happen to them…"

As he was speaking Arthur saw something peculiar and finished his sentence by "But sometimes, there are people dumb enough to challenge that authority, giving a chance to the shop to show their power regularly. Look."

As he said that, a youngster who seemed to be 20 approached the assistant helping Elena and Arthur and fell on one knee "Camilla, I am in love with you since I saw you for the first time. I…"

However, the girl whom Arthur just learned was called Camilla, stopped him "Please Albert, stop doing this. I've already rejected you three times. I don't want to be with you. We can be friends though."

Arthur leaned toward Elena and said "Okay, I didn't expect that. I thought that guy was an outsider, but if he is part of the shop… I take back what I said, now like in any cliché novel he will find trouble with us and everything will go down the sewer…"

Elena tilted her head and asked "What are you talking about?" Arthur sighed and replied "This is so predictable. The family member of the boss or something l.u.s.ts after a beautiful girl. But beautiful girl isn't interested and rejects him. Then he will lash out on us, we will have to kick his a.s.s and he will call mommy and daddy. Always the same." Elena shrugged and said "Whatever."

Albert suddenly got up and said "Why? I have everything you could ask for, I…" Arthur looked at Elena and smiled cheekily "Called it."

Camilla scrunched her face and said "Albert, please. You don't even know what I want. Stop. I said no. Now, please leave me alone, I need to do my job and assist those customers."

Albert clenched his hands into fists and said "But my father is the manager of the Magical Beast section. You told me you wanted to work there. I can make him give you a job there!"

Arthur grinned at Elena and said "Called it." Elena just rolled her eyes at him.

Camilla replied "You see, that's why we can't be together. I would rather get the job by myself than to rely on relationsh.i.p.s. If I really wanted to then I would have worked for my family."

Albert closed his eyes, trying to calm his anger, and said "I have waited long enough. You either accept, or get fired. Choose."

Camilla looked at him coldly and said "So those are your true colors? Well fire me if you want, I need to assist those clients. They are important customers. I would rather offend you than them." She didn't hate Albert, so she tried to give him a hint on who Arthur and Elena were as she had recognized them.

But Albert didn't care and looked at Arthur and Elena for the first time and said "You are giving more importance to those two kids than me? They are merely brats…"

Arthur looked at Elena and said "Called it." Elena nodded this time and said "What are we going to do?"

Arthur shrugged and said "I don't know. We can kill him, make his life hell, or include his family… There are so many means to respond this humiliation."

Elena let out a laugh and said "You act as if you really cared. Come on, as if he was of any importance to you."

Arthur laughed too, she was right.

Albert, on the side, yelled in anger "Who are you two f.u.c.kers to ignore me?!"

This earned him many cold gazes. Because of the disagreement between Camilla and Albert many people had gathered around to watch the fun, but seeing a second generation insult customers, especially kids, they couldn't help but get angry at him.

As for Arthur and Elena, Arthur didn't really care as he saw it coming, but Elena wasn't as forgiving. She looked at Albert coldly and asked "What did you call us?"

Albert sneered "What's your problem little bitch…"

However, he never finished his sentence. Because a half moon shaped black colored blade decapitated him. Everyone froze, but instead of panicking like most wizards would have, they only looked at the severed head in pity.

Elena, who was angry earlier, felt her anger deflate all of a sudden and she looked at Arthur in shock. The latter was looking at the corpse coldly.

She blinked and asked "Why did you do that?" Arthur's cold face disappeared and he said "He overstepped his boundaries. No one disrespect me. And you are my friend, so whoever disrespects my friend in my presence, disrespects me directly."

Elena was touched but she still said "Isn't this going to leave a mess?" Arthur nodded and said "Sure, washing off blood from the carpet will be hard, but…"

Elena interrupted him "You know I wasn't talking about this." Arthur shrugged and said "There already are so many people who will come after us, it doesn't matter if there are more. The most worrying thing here actually is the reporters."

Elena tilted her head and asked "Why?"

However, this time it was the near Camilla, who had just finished washing the blood off her who replied "As the descendant of Grindelwald he killed someone out of cold blood for an insult. Justice won't come for him because we are out of any government jurisdiction, but the newspaper won't hesitate calling him the bringer of the next wizarding world war."

Arthur looked at her in surprise and asked "You are quite the tough girl, aren't you? I killed someone in front of you and you act so calm."

Camilla smiled coldly and extended her hand "Camilla Vitello. Pleased to meet you."

Arthur took her hand and said "Arthur Grindelwald, but you already knew that."

Camilla nodded and said "Of course, it is my job to recognize important people, and the vampire princess and young Grindelwald are qualified enough to gather my attention."

Arthur nodded and said "Maybe we should continue our little talk outside the shop? I don't think they will like very much me shopping here."

But Camilla grabbed his shoulder and said "Nonsense. They won't dare to do anything. Only that idiot Albert was dumb enough to insult you. Most people here know who you two are. They don't really want to offend the vampire royal family. And I'm not even talking about the Holly family."

Arthur tilted his head and said "Don't you know? I'm not a Holly." Camilla cheerily said "Why don't we go talk about that over a coffee? Or is it tea for you British?"

Arthur smiled and said "Coffee will do. Lead the way Ms. Vitello."

Camilla walked forward with big steps, obviously excited. The two kids followed her behind. As they walked Elena asked Arthur "What just happened? Who is she?"

Arthur shrugged "I don't know who she is, but I guess she is from an important family, probably Italian seeing her name. She will tell us everything at the coffee shop, so let's not make hasty assumptions. We should wait for her to explain why she invited us, then we will see how we act."

Elena nodded, and hesitated for a second before saying "You should consult a therapist." Arthur looked at her questioningly and she continued "Don't take it in the wrong way, it doesn't change anything to me, but I think you should consult. The way you act, sometime it makes people wonder whether you have multiple personalities…"

Hearing her, Arthur grinned.
