Harry Potter And The Dual Lord

Chapter 44 - Abnormalities

Meanwhile, in London.

Stella had just finished her classes for the day, and her mother, Natasha, was waiting for her with a kind smile on her face. Stella really liked her mother. And her father. And most importantly her big brother.

Stella had been told when she was younger that she was special, and while she never doubted her family's words, she still had been surprised when she turned her apple in an orange.

Since then she had come to accept the existence of magic, despite only seeing it on rare occasions.

Her childhood had been relatively normal, with a few magic tricks here and there. The most significant thing she had ever seen was her brother.

In her eyes, he was a perfect person. Despite her young age, Stella was intelligent. She knew what her brother was truly enduring all those years. No, she didn't knew. She understood.

And she also understood that despite it being a terrible event, it was what made her brother so attached to her. She wasn't dumb, it wasn't normal for siblings to never fight and interact so well with each other.

The pain Arthur felt everyday was bad, and was always there. But the omnipresence of his pain, of something so bad, made him see the good thing in a much… clearer way the good things. And that's what Stella understood. That her brother's pain wasn't only a bad thing.

And like his pain, nothing in the world is absolutely bad or good. This is why she is very intelligent. From one information, her brother's suffering, she deducted a truth of the world many a.d.u.l.ts don't understand.

If Natasha, who was looking at her thoughtful daughter knew what the later was thinking, who knows how she would react.

Not talking about the oddball that is Arthur, Natasha always knew her children would in some way or another be different. It's in their blood. They have the prestige of the Holly, and the strength of the Grindelwald.

Arthur didn't take long to show his abnormalities. Excellent magical capabilities surpassing anyone's known, a quick mind that would allow him to become one of the paragons in muggle society…

Natasha never complained about it, but she was still a little sad she never really raised him. He raised himself. This is what led to the true abnormality.

But this time it wasn't an abnormality on humanity's scale like Arthur, but on a dimensional one. It's pretty simple actually. Stella didn't, shouldn't and doesn't exist. And yet here she is.

This is something even gods can't comprehend, the mysteries of dimensions. That is something only I, the Creator, narrator and writer of this story but also the one who created everything, does understand. That's why I won't explain to you how Stella is an abnormality. Now isn't the time…

Anyway, Natasha knows her daughter has something special to her, only that she doesn't quite know what yet. And that made her glad. Because she can raise her daughter and truly appreciate the wonders of being a mother.

Stella walked toward her mother and the two began walking back home. Natasha and Henry had integrated the muggle world years ago back when Arthur was born, and they grew attached to it.

So even when Arthur learned of magic and they didn't have any reason to stop using magic anymore, they still did. Of course they still train a bit from time to time, but other than that they fully live in the muggle world.

So they simply walked back home. They didn't apparate, used floo powder or brooms. No, they walked. And Natasha liked that.

The two didn't take long to arrive at home. They both saw Henry's car was there, so they knew he was back.

The two girls entered the house and walked to the living room. There, Henry was sitting, the newspaper folded in front of him. It was obviously a wizard one, seeing how the image moved. And the girls smiled seeing it was Arthur on the front page, again.

But Natasha knew something was wrong seeing Henry. Legs crossed, his elbows on the chair's arms, hands holding his chin, with a contemplative face.

Natasha asked "Honey, what has he done this time?"

But Henry didn't reply and stood there frozen, as if he didn't hear her. Natasha sighed but before she could act Stella took the paper in her tiny hands, and read it. Natasha, being way taller than her, easily read what was written in bold letter.

"Arthur Grindelwald, the Dark Lord."

Something was wrong there. Reporters never dared writing this. Not in this way. There would always be an interrogative mark, but here it was written as if him being the next Dark Lord wasn't a possibility, but a certainty.

Natasha looked at the picture, and was disgusted by what she saw? Above it was written the name Rita Skeeters, a woman known for being ready at doing anything to make her articles go to the front page. She doesn't even hesitate on lying in her papers.

But because she knows the minister well, they are 'friends', and that her lies sells the daily prophet like hot cakes. So all the charges against her from the people whom she destroyed the lives of, the Minister would always be there to 'accommodate them' while she doesn't get fired. She is on Arthur's kill list. But that's something else yet.

The moving photo in itself was rather disturbing. At first you would see Arthur standing tall and proud, looking coldly at the reader. It is a magic trick the daily prophet uses with criminals. When you looked at them, they would look back at you.

Other than Arthur, shadows danced behind him, looking like souls trying to escape from Arthur as if he was a demon.

Natasha's eyes looked down the paper and began reading what was written underneath. Apparently, Arthur had been spotted in Oakshaw with another student and a member of the Vitello family…

What?!

Natasha took a deep breath and exclaimed "What is he doing out of Hogwarts! Henry, we must contact Dumbledore and…"

However for the first time Henry spoke "Nat. Wait."

Natasha frowned and said "Henry, what do you mean wait? He is outside and in grave danger…"

Henry sighed and said "I know Nat, I know… But do you think he could have left the castle without Dumbledore's permission? If he let him go, then he must have planned something. Hell, knowing Arthur, this whole thing must be a ploy."

Nat frowned and asked "What do you mean?"

Henry smiled proudly and said "See, that's why I'm the head in the family…"

Nat took out her wand and pointed it at his face and said "And I am the deadliest. And Arthur is more intelligent than you, accept it."

Henry sighed and said "You can't even let me bath in glory for a second… Anyway, I read the article. After spending some time discerning lies and facts, I ended up with the conclusion that what really happened in everyone eyes is that someone insulted Arthur friend, and he killed said person."

Nat shrugged and asked "How is this a plot? I was about the same age when I first killed someone and I didn't make a fuss about it."

Henry rolled his eyes and said "Him killing is not the point. The reason is. Would he really kill only for an insult? He knows fully well what would happen if he killed someone, what would people think. Let's say he doesn't feel anything toward killing, which is highly probable seeing his childhood and crazy mother…"

"His what!"

Henry cleared his throat and said "and his lovely mother, it doesn't mean he would kill people for no reason. So I think he killed on purpose. And I think this is related to the reason as to why he changed his name to Grindelwald. All of this must be one big plot. One so big and significant, that no one can see how far his plans goes."

Nat drew back her wand and asked with a frown "Simplify."

Henry looked out the window and said "You are right. Arthur is more intelligent than me. Way more intelligent than me. I believe Arthur has created a plan to do something amazing. Something that could shake our entire world."

Nat rolled her eyes and said "Come on, how old is he? Even if he thought about it for his entire life, he couldn't plan for something this big."

Henry looked back at her and said "That's where it becomes even more terrifying."
