Harry Potter And The Dual Lord

Chapter 7 - 11th birthday

One year later, when Arthur was five, he finally entered primary school. At that time every teacher in his new school knew about him since Harvard and Cambridge were already fighting for him.

As for the students, rumors started and almost everyone of them knew that Arthur Holly was a big head despite not knowing him.

When he arrived at school, Arthur saw how the others reacted to him and he was surprised. He thought they would ostracize him because of his intellect, but they were rather warm toward him, for kids at least.

After talking with them for a couple of minutes he learned that they also knew about the pain he felt at every moment.

Though Arthur leaned more toward the possibility those kids had been told to approach him by their parents.

Other than that Arthur saw something else he didn't expect. A boy in cheap clothes and rimmed glasses was being bullied by a fat one and his band.

Arthur had big suspicions of who they were, and after asking who they were he got his confirmation, Harry Potter was being bullied by his cousin.

Arthur hesitated whether to intervene or not but eventually decided that now wasn't the moment, he just arrived and he didn't want to have everyone on his back like that.

They may be kids for him, he will still have to bear with them until he becomes 11. So he looked past them and went for their class.

Later on in the year Arthur unexpectedly was asked to sit next to Harry, because the later had problems learning (Probably because he can't see a thing with those glasses) so the teachers decided to put him next to Arthur thinking it may have a good effect on Harry.

Other than that almost every kid had tried to approach him, so much that it started to annoy him. No, school was annoying him. The teachers, the principal, the students… Everyone was s.u.c.k.i.n.g up to him.

If he made a mistake and lost a point on one hundred, then the teachers would cover that mistake and give him a top mark based on his future.

He had never tried but Arthur was quite sure that if he ever harmed another student then the principal would rather expel the other student than reprimand him even if its his fault.

Yeah, school was annoying. But he had met Harry Potter. At first the boy didn't dare to speak to Arthur, and admired him from far away.

After all, Arthur was his idol. It may sound strange to have someone so young t be his idol but it's true. Harry always believed his life was hard, his uncle and his aunt would make everything they could to make his life harder.

But that kid, Arthur Holly, he was feeling pain at literally every moment, he would never cease to feel pain. Even if Harry used the card of his eyes and bad glasses, Arthur had his five senses dulled instead of only one.

After a week Arthur was annoyed by the side glances he received from the boy and decided to talk to him. Harry had been so shocked that he remained unresponsive for a second before replying.

Since that day, Arthur would talk to him everyday, trying to make his confidence grow. It had taken two months, but it worked.

His grades elevated, Dudley didn't dare bully him anymore, and he gained his first friend. For the following years the two stayed together and successfully made it past primary school.

But now had arrived the most important moment of their lives.

A few months ago Arthur had become 11, and that day was heavenly for him.

Arthur had spent so much time in pain that he had forgotten how it was to live without feeling it. When he first woke up that day, he panicked as he didn't feel the pain go away, but was relieved later in the day.

For his birthday Arthur had only invited his best friend, Harry, but a few more people invited themselves to the party.

At first, and Arthur is ashamed to assume it, but he still regarded Harry as a fictional character. Despite the later being in front of him it would still feel strange, as if he wasn't a real person.

But as time passed he became more and more natural with him until they became best friends.

As for those new guests, some were expected though not invited, while others came as a total surprise.

For those expected they were the representatives of Cambridge and Harvard, as well as Dumbledore who all wanted to see the kid stop feeling pain and assure that he would come to their school.

But the unexpected guess was that teacher of acting who had come because he believed Arthur would make an amazing actor. After all, he hided his pain so well that many people doubted and called on it over the years, and for that agent it was the proof Arthur had a future in the industry.

Honestly, Arthur wasn't interested one bit, but he couldn't say it like that so he let the agent stay and decided he would talk with him later.

When Arthur blew his candles and they started cutting the cake, he suddenly let out a loud m.o.a.n. They all froze and looked at him, but he couldn't stop himself from m.o.a.ning once again while saying "Hmmm… Don't mind mmm.. me. I'mmm fine. Hmmm!"

They smiled as they understood what happened, and after a few seconds of silence Arthur asked "Oh my god that feels good."

Arthur looked at them and took a hold of himself seeing their faces. He fainted a cough to shoo the embarrassment away and said "Well, let's eat that cake?"

Everyone nodded and they took the birthday back to where it was, but it was obvious that everyone was looking at Arthur.

The day had been tiring for hi, but it was amazing too. The pain had gone away, and he felt like a super human, his senses were so much better than before that he sweared he could see an ant crawling ten meters away.

That night Arthur fell asleep easily and went to see his master, Merlin.

Through the seven past years Arthur had learned a lot, be it how to use the elements or theoretical knowledge about magic.

As soon as he arrived Arthur saw a bird made of fire fly at a fast speed toward him. Arthur moved slightly his finger and a vortex formed in front of the bird. It swallowed the bird like a black hole and disappeared by itself.

Merlin was of course the one who launched the spell, and he was looking at Arthur with a smile. He said "Dear disciple of mine, how do you feel?"

Arthur smiled and said "Never been so good." Merlin nodded and asked "Do you feel like you have… changed?"

Arthur shook his head so Merlin shook his hand and a mirror flew toward Arthur. Only Merlin was able to use his magic in this space because it is connected to him, he is one with this world.

Arthur took the mirror and saw his reflection in it. Except that he looked more handsome, his skin was more refined, and his whole body looked purer.

Arthur looked at Merlin and asked "Is that the effect of my elements?"

Merlin nodded and said "My fire assimilation made my soul fire stronger and thus enhanced my lifespan, as for you the light purified your body and made it better. Your senses should be better than any other human, your memory and physical ability must also have been heightened."

Arthur asked "So correct me if I'm wrong but this is the effect of the combination of light and darkness. Then what would have been their individual effects?"

Merlin replied "The light would have made your body fit and healthy for your entire life, while the darkness would have done the same thing but on a lesser scale to your senses."

Arthur nodded and said "Last question, how do you know so much about something so rare?"

Merlin unexpectedly frowned and replied "I experimented on one of those damn gods!"
