Haru's Love

Chapter 84 - BONUS CHAPTER 1

HARU

The moment Aiden showed us numerous pictures of the apartment unit online, my jaw dropped. And not just me either but Noah, Reo, Mason, and Isaac as well.

Reo said, "Are you sure you can afford to buy that apartment, Aiden?"

Mason nodded. "That's high end. It's so fancy."

Aiden said, "I can afford it. Besides, Uncle Jin is helping out, so it'll be fine."

Noah said, "It's in the seven figures, isn't it?"

Aiden chuckled. "Yep. There's nothing under that around that neighborhood. The unit we're looking at now is on the thirty-fifth floor and has a great view of the city. It has six bedrooms, all large. Two of those are masters with en suites. There are also two extra bathrooms upstairs to go with the four bedrooms."

"Bro!" Isaac said. "We have to get that apartment. It's like the coolest. Can we like go and check it out in person?"

Aiden nodded. "I'll contact the agent and make an appointment."

"Yeah! Awesome," Isaac said, chuckling.

It was that weekend when we arrived at the newly developed apartment building and I stared at the skyscr.a.p.er, my eyes wide. I felt Aiden wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "It's high, isn't it?"

I nodded. "I've never lived in a place like that before." All very fancy and stuff.

"None of us have lived in a place like that," Aiden said. "But it'll be great." He planted a kiss on my forehead.

"Yeah," I said.

Isaac rolled his eyes. "Ugh! Stop being lovey-dovey in public, you two. Let's go inside and check out the apartment unit. I'm damn excited. I can't wait to choose my room."

Noah ruffled Isaac's thick hair. "You speak like that apartment unit is already ours."

Isaac said, "It will be ours. I have a good feeling today." He did a thumb-up.

We strolled into the foyer, which was damn fancy with a courtyard garden and indoor waterfall. On the other side was a reception area and next to it was the elevators, six in total. Well, it was a fifty-stories high building, after all, and had two hundred apartment units so it'll need at least that many.

We met up with the agent, a guy in his late fifties, who eagerly took us to the thirty-fifth floor. Upon walking out of the elevator, Isaac and I rushed out, excited at seeing the view.

"Whoa! Look! Haru, look!" Isaac said. "It's freakin' nice from here, right?"

I nodded. "Wow!" What a view. I didn't usually get to see a scenery like this unless I got up to the empire state building, which I did only once.

"This way," the agent said. "Unit thirty-five-B." Moments later, he opened the door and ushered us in.

My eyes were wide in wonder as we looked around. To say the place was opulent was an understatement. No wonder it was worth in the millions. The view was amazing from here, too.

The massive open-plan living-dining-kitchen had a floor to ceiling glass window that show case a nice view of New York City.

"Haru! Come here!" Isaac grabbed me by the wrist and led me upstairs.

We both checked out the bedrooms, which were all large and had great view of the city, too. The two bathrooms were fancy as, with marble floor, basins, and shower cubicles. There were even posh bathtubs, too. Damn! Just being here felt like I was a millionaire myself. The place was that exquisite.

Downstairs, we checked out the two master bedrooms, and the moment Isaac saw the first, he claimed it as, "This is mine."

Noah snorted. "Yeah right. Yours is upstairs, brat. The two eldest brothers will take the master bedrooms."

I smiled. Here I thought Noah wasn't in the least bit excited about the new apartment.

We were all a bit dazed as we headed out the door, having finished with inspecting the place. We couldn't wait until Aiden get the apartment sorted out where negotiation and buying was concerned, so we could move in.

"Can we check out the place a bit more?" Isaac asked. "I saw on the website that there's a garden on the thirtieth floor and a park out back on the first floor, too."

Mason said, "I heard they have a few gyms and swimming pools, too. I want to check those out."

Aiden sighed. "All right. We have time, so go and check those out. We'll meet up on the first-floor foyer in an hour, how about that?"

Isaac said, "Awesome. Thanks, bro." To me, he said, "Let's go, Haru."

We took the elevator and came down to the thirtieth floor where we explored the garden, which was full of cherry blossom trees, small shrubs, and flower beds. There were even benches for residents to sit and admire the view.

Isaac was off on the other side exploring and chatting up with a few residents while I stared off at the beautiful view. It was a moment later when I felt a strong arm wrapping around my shoulders.

"You like it here?" Noah asked.

I turned to look at him. "Yeah, it's nice. How about you? Do you like it here? From what you've seen so far?"

Noah shrugged. "It's nice."

He moved in close and sniffed at my hair, which made me blush.

"What? Does my hair stinks?"

He hastily moved back and said, "No."

"Good," I said, chuckling. Then I asked, "Are you nervous?"

He looked at me. "About what?"

"Starting your new job. It's tomorrow, isn't it?"

He nodded. "I'm a bit nervous, but I'll be all right. It'll be my first day, so I doubt they'll fire me on the spot if I f.u.c.k.e.d up."

I chuckled. "I doubt you'll ever mess up. You're a perfectionist, Noah."

"You never know," he said. "Anyways, we should head down. Aiden and the others are probably waiting for us."

I nodded.

We were halfway toward the door when a pair of puppies came up to us, barking excitedly. I laughed and got down to my knees. As I pet them, I said, "Oh wow! You guys are so cute. Man, I wish we have a puppy, too."

The puppies suddenly rushed off away from me toward a man in the distance. Probably their owner. I sighed, just staring at them longingly.

Noah ruffled my hair fondly. "You want a puppy, huh?"

I nodded. "It'll be nice, right?"

Noah didn't reply, and we joined up with Isaac and then headed back down the stairs to meet with the others.

The pair of puppies, one a Pomeranian and the other a Bichon Frise, barked excitedly at Haru, who chuckled and petted them. Their little tails wouldn't stop wagging, either. Suddenly, a manly voice called out, "Jake! Jon! Where the heck are you two?"

The pair rushed off at the sound of their master's voice. In an instant, the man appeared from around the corner. A bright smile greeted them, and as they raced toward their master named Sean, they barked excitedly.

"Where the heck have you two been?" Sean asked. "I know you're excited to be out but don't go running off like that again."

Both little canines barked at Sean and then turned in the direction of the three people walking toward the door on the other side. Sean shifted his gaze from his pups to those males. Of course, all he could see were their backs. The tall, muscular one had his arm wrapped around the shorter, slender one's shoulders, while the one with golden blond hair was laughing and chatting nonstop.

"New people, huh?" he said. Then he wondered if they were moving in or were they just visitors? Whatever the case may be, he doubted he'd see them again. This apartment building was massive, after all, and bigger still was New York City itself.

"Let's go back in," he said, and then took his reluctant pups up to the forty-fifth floor where his luxurious apartment unit resided.
