"Empress, it's not too late, to tell the truth" Fee, her most trusted friend said holding the bars of the cell.

"It's okay Fee... I have a plan...maybe." I said smiling a bit as I coughed.

"E-empress, you protected the Empire!" Fee said as I shook my head. "No, I-"

"No! You also protected everyone a-and a-and..." The rest of Fee's words was drowned in tears.

"Fee..." I said as my heart ached as Few continued to sob.

"Empress... j-just tell h-him the truth!" Fee begged me.

"Fee, you know I can't. Plus...h-he is happy with Catherine..." I said as a tear fell on my face.

So much for trying to look strong.

"Lady Catherine stole him from you and l-look!" Fee said angrily as she slammed the bars of the cell.

"But, Fee there was no love in the first place so I am fine...and I-"

"F-fine?!?" Fee screeched. "Empress, you loved him and the country for so long and he was in love with you too I saw it in his eyes before and-"

Fee's words drown in the footsteps of the soldiers. Then a guard shouted as dozen or more guards entered "It's time for the execution of Arista Narcissa the Evil Empress!"

Then suddenly more than a dozen guards were in front of my cell. "Open the cell." The Captain of the guards said as he glared down on me.

"Yes, my lord." One of the guards said as one guard hand him a key.

"NO!" Fee suddenly screamed, trying to stop one of the guards from unlocking my cell.

Then the Captain of the guards pushed Fee down to the hard cold floor and suddenly at least five guards held her back as she screamed even louder.

"NO! EMPRESS!!!" Fee screamed again as they opened my cell.

"Fee, smile," I said, trying to hold back a tear. "I don't want my last memory of you to be sad," I said smiling sadly at Fee as she started screaming even more.

Then they put a sack on my head then I saw nothing but darkness.

"YOU B*TCH!"

"GIVE BACK THE LIFE OF MY DAUGHTER!!!"

"GOOD FOR YOU!"

I held my breath as my hands started trembling as the people screamed as I walk through the capital of the Empire.

Then as we walked a bit more, I suddenly felt a splash of water that landed on my arm. Great...

We walked more because it didn't rain that hard but then it started to rain heavily like the sky was crying.

"Captain, what should we do?" I heard one of the soldiers asked their Captain. The Captain sighed and said, "The execution will be postponed after the rain stops but first let's go to the nearest base."

"Yes, Captain!" All of the guards screamed.

When we arrived, they threw me into one of the rooms on to the hard floor. Really, they could have just pushed me inside not throw me.

When they closed the door I heard a voice said: "Really, it seems like your calculations were slightly incorrect.

"I knew it you were there, Dior," I said smiling slightly under the sack. Dior, the captain of the royal guards that is mostly known as the loyal servant of Catherine the current Empress.

Well, obviously that's a lie.

He only became loyal to her because I ordered him so my plan would succeed but sadly my calculations were slightly incorrect and that slight mistake made me get executed instead of being banished.

Ugh, it's so hot under this sack!

"Here." Dior said, removing the ropes that were around my body and the sack.

"Ugh, light," I said blinking furiously. Then as I looked around trying to adjust my eyes to the light, I saw the baby Dior was holding tightly in his arms.

"Dior, h-how?" I said as my eyes widen.

"Asked Theodore to help..." Dior said as I smiled a bit.

"D-Dior, can I hold Athan for one last time?" I said looking at the baby in front of Dior, trying not to cry as I got up.

It has been hard for the last two years but at least of all things I have regretted doing I will never regret having him.

"No." Dior said to my surprise."Not for one last time. You will be going to the countryside because it seems like you were too overconfident, Empress so you didn't make a plan B."

"W-what?" I said, my eyes widening.

"I planned a distraction just meters away but the heavy rain is a better cover-up. Take Athan and escape."

"How about you?" I asked.

"I will be a fine look behind you" As Dior said that I turned my head at where Dior is looking and saw another woman tied with the same sack as mine. "This is?"

"Your escape. Don't worry she is one of the worst criminals of the kingdom" Dior said as I started to feel overwhelmed and hugged Dior from the behind. "Thank you," I said as a tear fell.

"Wow, the Evil Empress cries." Dior laughed as I slapped him in the arm a bit.

"But you need to hurry..." Dior said suddenly turning serious.

"Open that floor," Dior said pointing with his lips. I saw where he was pointing at and opened it and saw a tunnel. "Dior, how can I ever-"

"I know, I am the best. Now go. " Dior said giving Athan to me and some money in my dress pocket. "Thank you" With that Dior closed the "door". The tunnel was dark and narrow leading only one way. Just what I need. Then I started to move after a few minutes.

I hurried the slam of the door and jumped. I checked to see if Athan woke up but no response.

" CAPTAIN! Stop beating her up... I know you hate her but-"

'Yup, pretty boy is good at acting' I thought to smile to myself 'Well, that's why my plan went smoothly in the first place.' Then I checked on Athan still no response. 'Heavy sleeper like his father.' I thought as my heart ached and smiled to myself once more. I held Athan tighter and started moving forward once again. Minutes felt like hours before I saw the exit and tried to push it open.

"Okay, how to open the-"

Then the "door" opened and I saw a young girl smiling at me. "Mom, she is here!"

"Empress?" A woman's voice said and when she saw me a tear fell from her face. "My Empress..."

"Please don't call me that anymore I am not the Empress. Oh, can you take Athan, please?" I said extending my hand. "Yes, Empress. Lily get Athan while I help the Empress up." When I got up I looked around at the cramp and small room and said: "what now?"

"My husband will be transporting you to the countryside but what are you going to do about his eyes. If someone sees him..." The lady said looking at Athan's dark purple and blue eyes and fluffy black hair. "Well, I don't want to seclude his bit on the way I need to by him contacts or something so he can use it when he is older but for now he will remain at home." The lady nodded and suddenly there was a knock. "Nina, it's time"

Nina bowed down and said, "Empress, have a safe trip."

"Have a safe trip Empress?" Lily said smiling and copying her mother. 'Cute...' I thought.

"Now please go..." With that, I went inside the carriage with Athan and looked at Athan and held him tighter.

"Everything's going to be okay, my treasure," I said a tear falling from my face and I wiped it immediately. 'Crying is not going to help you, Narcissa You have to stay strong for Athan and survive and stay hidden for your country.' I thought and my heart caches even more as I closed my eyes daydreaming about the past. Before everything went downhill.
