Hero Or Villaness

Chapter 16 - The Crown Prince

Do you know why people hide their true feelings?

Why do they choose to stay silent instead of using their voices?

Because-

𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥.

Afraid of what people will think of them,

Afraid of the criticisms and the hate,

But mostly afraid-

Of what will happen to them.

I am telling you this because I knew of a girl, who rose from being a mere gangster and thief to an Empress.

That girl was afraid, very afraid so she chose to stay silent because she was very afraid, she

abandoned everyone she loved and chose to become the famous- 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬.

And that girl right now is even more afraid because the two people she didn't want to meet one another, met. So what should she do?

And most importantly what will happen?

What will happen, you may ask? Fate my friend, Fate because the moment their eyes met one another, fate began to move as it laughs behind the shadows.

"T-those eyes..." Amaranthos whispered as he saw Athan.

"Your majesty, what-" The royal guard stopped as he saw who Amaranthos is looking at and gasped. The other royal guards who saw Amaranthos pale face also looked at who was he looking at and when they turned to the tree, they all gasped.

Amaranthos didn't paid mind to the royal guards as they started whispering among themselves because all he could hear is his heart that started to beat out loud as he stared at Athan, feeling shocked while from just miles and miles away, Amaranthos didn't know that Arista, who was thought dead was trying to find her son with Kotá.

"There's going to be a snowstorm..." I said to Kotá, who rolled his eyes.

"I know that because it is freezing here!" Kotá complained.

Here we go again.

"Really of all places, you could hide! You chose the north where it snows the earliest and has huge snowstorms and you thought this would be the-"

"Kotá..." I said as I closed my eyes as I tried to search for Athan's presence again.

"Really how stupid and-"

"Kotá!" I shouted as I looked at him.

Kotá, who was surprised by my sudden outburst, looked at me straight in the eyes and then I realized why I can't feel Athan's presence anymore.

"K-Kotá, Athan is not in the north anymore..." I whispered.

"What a nice deduction dear but it is not possible because I put a barrier in the north to check if your son left or not..." Kotá said. "Well unless if he already heard the whispers... it is possible if-

Wait. F*ck! No way..."

Kotá then suddenly started to dig to feel the earth and looked at me and said "Help me..."

I nodded and immediately started to help him and when we could see the earth, He put his hand under it and closed his eyes.

After a few moments of silence, I could see his face wrinkled in frustration. "Your dear hubby might have seen him already."

"What?" I said.

"There are three presences of descendants. In the same place... I saw two dark lights and a golden one. " Kotá said as he stood up while I stayed in the snow. "And except for you and him. You are the only gold ones but I wonder who is the other... but!"

"We should not think that it is him, Arista for all we know is another unknown descendants. " Kotá said.

"That must be a lie, Kotá..." I said as I looked up, hoping is not who I think it is.

"Well let us just think positive and-"

"Kotá..." I said, interrupting him as he smirked.

"I already know dearie... I just waited to see if you have another scene or something but I am still glad you still have some of your sanity." Kotá said laughing a bit.

Under him, I saw him starting to send some shadows across the lands and I smiled.

Really... he is always the same. I stood up and said "I am sorry to disappoint you sir but I won't have another scene as you call it because it won't get anything done but first we need to find them. Kotá, could you go there?"

"Obviously, who do you think I am?" Kotá said as I laughed a bit trying to be a bit positive, hoping I am wrong that is not him with Athan.

I then held Kotá's hand and said "Go."

"Yes, mam. I mean sir because you are even more-"

I pinched Kotá again as he yelped in surprise and we vanished.

When we landed, I looked around and we are in a forest with no snow. My gosh, we are in the Empire...

I immediately closed my eyes and suddenly I saw the entire Empire and their spirits from above.

I saw my spirit from afar and I opened my eyes. "We are in the Crimean Hill. " I said as Kotá rolled his eyes.

"I know that..... and do you feel that?" Kotá said as he looked around.

"Yes, there are a lot of people here..." I g.r.o.a.n.e.d and said "Their spirits are all mushed..."

"Hmmm... tell me more dearie as if I don't everything already." Kotá said as I rolled my eyes.

I closed my eyes again and suddenly I felt shivers down my spine.

"Back with those animal instincts, Arista?"Kotá said as he looked at me, smirking.

"I have a bad feeling about this. " I said as Kotá just rolled his eyes and said "You have a bad feeling for everything."

I ignored Kotá and closed my eyes once more, concentrating as much as I can and looked at the Crimean Hill again with my mind.

I looked and all of the colors of the spirits. Blue, red, orange, yellow but no-

"No f*cking way..." I whispered as I concentrated harder.

"A-amaranthos," I said as I looked at his spirit, Gold. "W-why is he here? This can't be really happening!"

I looked at one of the trees and my eyes widen even more.

"A-athan... b-but h-how?!?" I said as I looked at a gold spirit. I knew it was Athan because when he was born, I thought if he ever gets lost is easy to find him if I knew the color of his spirit. I stared, even more, feeling a bit shaken up and relive but then I saw something unbelievable.

Another color that is swirling around Athan's spirit, a color that I never saw on Athan's spirit.

Black, pure black.

Then suddenly I opened my eyes and looked at Kotá, who was leaning against a tree. "Let's go." I said in a serious and low voice.

"Ho, ho" Kotá said. "I told you, you were only 60% believing me that Athan is a Yeuía."

"Kotá now is not the time. Let's go." I said as Kotá nodded and held my hand again as we vanished.

When we arrived, I saw the royal guards from the distance. "Sh*t." I whispered and turned to Kotá.

I touched his forehead and two lines immediately started to form in his forehead, one blue and one red. Then as the lines expanded it went to the opposites sides of his forehead and in the middle, one line formed a swirling circle, facing upwards while the other line also started to form a swirling circle only facing downwards.

"Kota, go back to what once you were and follow me..." I whispered as I touched his forehead.

Kotá smirked and started to dissolve in front of me and disappeared. "Kotá, come." I said then immediately dark swirls circled around me.

I smirked and then started to run with the wind.

"Damn it!" Nerezza said as she immediately covered Athan's eyes from Amaranthos and pushed Athan into the shadows, hiding him from Amaranthos. Then Nerezza was about to go into the darkness too but Amaranthos shouted "Hold!"

When Amaranthos shouted, a long golden string suddenly grabbed Nerezza from the waist, surprising Nerezza so all Nerezza could say was "F*ck."

"Show me, the child." Amaranthos said in a low and dangerous voice.

"No." Nerezza flatly said.

"I command you." Amaranthos said to Nerezza.

"No." Nerezza said again to Amaranthos. Then he replied in a calm but dangerous voice "You dare, disobey me."

"Yes." Nerezza said as she saw golden swirls started to form around Amaranthos eyes. She glared at Amaranthos as a sword suddenly appeared on his hand.

The royal guards, who were seeing the scene started drawing their swords and surrounding the tree.

"Your majesty, your subject said no so no." Nerezza said as she released two black strings that started tying Amaranthos arms and legs.

The golden string that was Nerezza's waist suddenly got lose and Nerezza smirked.

When Nerezza finally removed it, She looked at Amaranthos, who is glaring at her and transported to where he is as the royal guards shouted in surprise and started surrounding her.

Then Nerezza whispered as pure black swirls started to form around her eyes "You will forget about Athan and just remember that I just tried to disobey you from not leaving and escaped..."

"Y-yes." Amaranthos said as he tried to resist but failed.

After she said that, she looked at all the royal guards and said "All of you too, you will also forget all about Athan Da Valde Dragosten and just remember that I just tried to disobey the Emperor from not leaving but I escaped."

"Yes..." The guards said and then Nerezza smirked and vanished into the shadows with Athan as she released the black string around Amaranthos.
