"Miss Zhao, you can't keep stressing yourself. The doctor said if you do it'll have severe effects."

"Doctors can't always be right. I need to go, I have an important business meeting" The argument was on and on. Meilin was unconscious until the following morning. Her doctor left prescriptions and warnings about how her health was deteriorating fast. She knew her health was at risk but she wasn't going to give in regardless of the dangers.

Mr Fu had tried to make her understand but he knew the woman would never listen. He had actually taken Mr Li Wei's number. The man was worried about her but couldn't stay over to monitor her so he need Mr Fu to inform him of any news.

Mr Fu excused himself and went to the corridor to call Li Wei over. An hour passed and Meilin managed to calm down and rest a little although she did time to get up promptly when it's eight.

Li Wei knocked before opening the door and Mr Fu was behind him. Meilin glared at him wondering why he'd come over that Saturday morning when she only invited him for dinner.

Li Wei could only smile even though he could tell that the woman was hostile to his visit. Mr Fu left Li wei to handle the feisty Lady, he had tried his best to stop her from moving and had no energy to continue doing so.

"I'm glad you saw my flowers" his eyes had set on the flowers he forgot he bought on her bed side table neatly arranged In a vase.

Meilin nodded then turned to her side. She had tears welling in her eyes, she was still disturbed by Haru's confession and pondering about it made her feelings feeble.

She couldn't stop having that Deja vu feeling that she'd been in such a situation before. She just didn't recall who and when everything occurred.

"Miss Zhao what's wrong? As the children's principal, I'm also their chancellor and I don't mind spending my time talking to you"

She rolled her eyes. "What do you know? Men like you are just the same. You claim to always know what a woman passes through but you all just use the situation to your advantage"

Li wei was quiet. He could tell she was broken a few times, but he knew nothing was beyond repair. "I care about you Miss Zhao, I just want to help—"

"Don't help me! I don't need your help" She burst into tears and her screams woke up the twins. They looked at each other and agreed just by making eye contact that that was their precious mother's voice.

Meilin threw her pillow at Li wei and he made a stride back " Please leave. I don't need anyone right now. I want to be alone" She clasped her hands together as she sobbed.

The man adjusted his coat and left. The girls were listening from behind a large statue and they watched Li Wei leave and their mother continued to cry.

The twins slowly entered her room scared of how'd she'd react especially after the manner in which she'd yelled and said she needed to be distant from everyone else.

"I thought I said no one should enter this room!!!" She quieted down when she noticed who she screamed at "Li Na, Li hua" She wiped her tears away but it was no use, they wouldn't stop streaming down the sides of her cheeks.

"I'm sorry" She apologized spreading her arms apart to embrace them but they didn't move. They slowly walked back.

"Li Na...Li hua..." They were crying too but they looked disappointed in the way she hurt Mr Li Wei, after he spent so much time with them in her place. He carried out a responsibility as a mother and he did it well.

"I'm sorry...I'm so so sorry" They didn't understand her reason for being sad but what they did know is that she was stronger than her emotions and she'd breakthrough it. Their mom was capable of it.

Li Wei went home. The place he never wanted to be. He opened the door and was greeted by his furious spouse. The woman he'd been hiding from the world. He was ashamed of himself for marrying someone like her more than he was ashamed of her attitude as a whole.

"Where did you go? Why haven't you haven't stopped by for a whole month? Did you know your son was withdrawn from your school? As the head teacher it's impossible to know!"

He didn't pay much attention to her words, what his mind caught the entire time was the mentally unbalanced kid drawing on the table as usual.

He walked passed the woman and she angrily followed him "Can you please stop walking away from me when I'm talking to you?" He rolled his eyes and gave a wry grin.

"I have something for you Zhen" He placed an action figure most boys his age loved.

Zhen parted his mop brow hair to take a closer look at the object and afterward his dad. He smiled but his expression dropped when his eyes met with his mother and he quickly went back to drawing.

Something about his mother's stare frightened him. He was pretty aware of his parent's hatred for one another and his birth into the world being the reason for it.

Li Wei had to get married because he had to accept his responsibility of being a father after a one night stand. His wife, jie raised the thought prem.a.t.u.r.ely ending him however Li wei refused. They were both careless and the guilt of punishing him for it would break him totally.

His son was autistic, jie was ashamed of him. She regretted not getting rid of him, and li wei hardly had time for the both of them. He pretended like he didn't have a family, no one knew the pale kid was him, no one knew he was married to a drug addict.

He was fully aware that his wife was sleeping around with men for more money but he didn't care much because the only thing holding their marriage together was Zhen.

"Li Wei!" She took a step but the man gave no consideration "You b.u.t.t head answer me!" he didn't. He held unto his son and pulled him to the door.

"Where are you taking him?"

"To my house" Jie didn't know where he lived. He bought a house for her and Zhen miles away because he wanted to keep the dark secrets of his private life hidden.

"You're not taking Zhen anywhere!"

"You aren't feeding him properly. You can see how frail he is!"

"If you take another step, I will write to the media and tell them exactly the man you are."

Li wei bit his lip, let go of Zhen and stormed out. Jie always threatened to expose him, that would always be his weakness.
