Network failed and chapter 73 was updated twice)

It had been months since Meilin lost her best friend but she started to see her older brother often, running around the tracks, playing freestyle soccer and once in a while dancing with some kids at the alley. He looked sad but cool at the same time.

She'd always wanted to talk to him because she had a lot of questions concerning Yun.

She slid a note through an open space of his locker and left to avoid suspicion. She didn't know if he'd bother to read or if he'd even bother to stop by the roof top of the school.

She waited for him to show up that day, rubbing her arms to keep herself warm because of how chilly the weather was especially where she was.

She sat on a bench eating her lunch. She couldn't wait for him to come before she ate, but she'd still give the bento she spent her time making to him.

"Yo" she diverted her gaze to meet those of the boy she's only met face to face once. He looked like one of those rebellious teenagers, his tie loose, shirt not tucked and his first two buttons undone "I saw your letter..."

"Yes...yes..." she moved a bit for him to seat down but he didn't want to. He kept standing with his hands shoved in his pockets and his eyes giving her an intimidating glare.

"Before we start I got you a boxed lunch" Meilin said with a smile but he didn't respond, he kept glaring "Why're you acting decent?"

"Well sorry if you're offended because of a stranger's gift but your sister was a dear friend...so..I thought I'd consider you as family" the older boy laughed then leaned in close to Meilin "how old are you?"

"Twelve..."

He nodded with a smirk "so what did you want to ask me?"

"In summary, I just want to know more about your family...why yun never mentioned she had a brother?"

"Sorry to disappoint but I don't know shit about her" Meilin tilted her head in absolute doubt "How?...you're her brother!"

"I only became her brother the day she died. Her mother and my dad had a legal marriage that same day and the two assholes forced me to attend that dumb memorial."

Meilin balled her hands, she detested his attitude to her question and the words he was spitting from his mouth "It wasn't dumb" he smiled wildly and placed a leg on the bench closing in on her until their faces were just inches apart. Meilin turned her head to a different direction, He was amused that she wasn't trembling but it was probably because she had no idea of who she was with.

"Why're pretending like you're a very good person. I doubt you really liked her as a friend, I'm sure it was out of nothing but pity" he drew hard on the cigarette he lit and puffed on her face "you're nothing...but..a..fake...person"

He turned his direction to face the city view from a birds eye point of the terrace. Meilin got up, her eyes cloudy with tears, she poured her lunch all over him then slapped him.

She fled crying and the kid stood solidified in wonderment. He liked the patterned stain on his shirt but he wasn't going to let her get away with it. He didn't care less whether she was a girl or not, he'd beat her to a pulp. He just had to monitor her for a while and pick a perfect time to ambush.

Meilin had a hobby to buy and read books to add her personal library, it was a normal routine to stop by the books store to by herself something to add to her collection. Bao was just around the corner waiting for to follow her shortcut home. He could do whatever he wanted at the alley, anything he wanted.

Meilin skipped out and turned for the mud path leading to her home. She was saving up her bus money to buy herself a phone because everyone in her class had one. She stopped walking once she saw a familiar face waiting at a dark corner. She ducked her head and tried to walk pass but the boy stopped her before she could move any further.

He drew out his pocket knife and twriled it skillfully with an evil look all over. "you wouldn't dare..." In a second bao had just sliced through her shirt and she screeched in dread.

He dropped off his stained shirt "You better wash it!!! And find something to do about yours" he put the knife back and turned "you're nothing like yun! She would never do something like this..."

"She couldn't walk! Of course she'd be useless" he waved his hand which even angered the young girl more. She balmed herself for calling him up but it seemed like an inevitable event, she really wanted to know more about yun and she believed he knew a lot.

Bao barged into his new mom's house, a cigarette in his mouth as he made his way to his sister's room, which was now his. "They wouldn't care if I get drunk so a little smoke won't hurt" he was hungry. When last did he have a decent family meal ever since his mom died and his father married the hag downstairs. Maybe he should've been a little to that girl. She'd be giving him food every school day.

Whether he comes home or not no one would care, his new mom already made it clear to him that she wouldn't care for him, he'd have to tend to his needs alone. With his alcoholic dad adding to his misery, he'd do nothing but Stand and watch his new mom make his life hell.

They lived in a run down apartment full of delinquents and s.l.u.ts running all over the place. He wished he was born rich like some other popular kids at his school but instead God had to create him to die. The fact made him Angry even more.

He's going to bed starving again for the eleventh time that month. It's enough to make him cry and wish he died along with his mom.
