Hi I'm Married, But I'm Sleeping With My Boss

Chapter 76 - More than just a study session

"Shit!!!" After accepting, he went straight home even though school wasn't over. He opened the door to the house, slammed it and headed for his room. He was on a rampage, he needed something to break that was the best way to wave off his rage.

"How dare they put me in that type of situation?!?" He kicked his mirror and knocked over his drawer "Not with her! Why her?"

He grabbed his bag and shoved all his clothes in it. He didn't like the option of her coming over to his place to study, and he had enough money To buy another flat somewhere else.

He locked the door to his step mom's house leaving the two corspe laying on the floor. He would've given them a proper burial if only they were good people.

Meilin spent hours of her night thinking. Her mother noticed her daughter had been troubled for days but she thought it was just a phase, she was growing up and sooner or later she'd become an a.d.u.l.t. She'd just leave her to settle the scores with her subconscious mind and solve whatever caused her troubles.

The next day Meilin waited for Bao In front of the back gate of the school, it was closer to a cafe where they could actually concentrate and drink tea.

They walked beside eachother, not a word said until they arrived in front of the large cafe door. Meilin opened it, didn't care less o for manners because she knew he wasn't that type of person to recognize the 'ladies first' thing.

They both had their seats, Meilin brought out her personal note book and flipped through some difficult topics she knew well "So what do you have problems in exactly?"

He didn't respond. He had his eyes peeled on his phone and barely took note of whatever she said. Meilin was triggered, she tapped the table as she waited for him to put his phone away.

"Excuse me, I'm talking to you..."

Bao diverted his gaze to her, smirked then switched it to his phone again "I bet you're only doing this to get paid..."

"There is no payment. I'm doing it to help you" she said packing up her books "But seems like you want to drop out of school and do whatever your mind is telling you" he bit his lip watching her get up. She was already fed up of having to put up with him, every single time.

"it's not like I..." He actually wanted to say something but she  waved it off, making it clear that she had zeo interest.

"I don't care less of whatever you have to say. Maybe I shouldn't waste my time on someone like you who has no plan for the future"

She left and he sighed dropping his shoulders "Who's gonna pay for the coffee?"

Meilin took a break, she'd already walked a distance. It was getting late but she had to rest a little, the pace at with she was charging down the pavements left her worned out.

"Need water?" She heard that familiar deep voice. She shot Bao an angry glare, eyes still locked on him as he sat down beside her on a bench.

She spent her time thinking how fast he could be and why she didn't notice someone was tailing her.

"I don't blame you for hating me but I want to tell you something important. I have no plans for the future, you're right because there's no future for me I ruined it"

She couldn't understand much, and she didn't want to think too hard if it would all be a waste of efforts. She didn't know what to say to him but she took the water bottle away and a 'thank you' unknowingly popped out off her mouth.

"you've grown meilin. You're much taller and smarter. Well you've always been smarter than me" he smiled for a brief moment before switching to a sad expression "I'm dropping out..."

Meilin raised a brow giving him a questioning look. She didn't want to believe him, she assumed he had to be joking.

"I'm serious" he continued "I have to."

"why? There has to be a reason"

"My criminal record..."

"Criminal...record...?"

He got up and hung his backpack on his shoulder "Don't ponder too much about it, I've already decided. What I did in the past ruined my future and I don't think I can do anything about it"

He walked forward but halted once he heard her voice from behind "Is that why you've been gone?"

"That reminds me..." He opened his bag and brought out a bouquet, "I wanted to get you this for the dance. I'm sorry for letting you down" she held it in her hands and tears rolled down the sides of her face.

She couldn't understand and the boy in front of her wasn't willing to explain things but deep down in her, she needed no one to tell her about the feelings she had.

A week after, just like he said. He didn't show up in school. Everyone had their own stories but Meilin wasn't sure of which was right, whatever he says would be the truth. He never seemed like the lying type. Infact he was broken and fighting internal wars withing himself. What he wants to be and who he was going to become. Somewhere in that Stone of a heart he has, she knew he was a good person.

Immediately after school Meilin was about to take a bus home when she sighted Bao from a store loading boxes into a van. "Is that what he dropped out of school to be?" She didn't understand him and she was furious at the same time.

She wasn't going to just let it slide. She crossed the street to meet him, grabbed him as he stuttered trying to understand the situation and how she found him.

"How did you? When did you?" He had tons of questions but he didn't know how to put them in the right words.

Meilin smacked his face hard and they were both surprised. She gave into her anger and for that moment she felt bad but as time went on she had to put herself in the "I'm right situation.'

"You deserve it!"

He Shook is head and sighed as he turned back. He had to get back to work before his boss finds out his gone, he had due rent to pay and needed the money fast.

"don't go" she held unto his hand "I care about you, and I don't like what you're doing to yourself. Please come back to school"

He pulled his hand away from her grasp then shoved it into his pocket "it's not your head ache" he waved her off but she held him by his shirt "please bao...I want to understand you"

He had to raise his voice. He was tired of meilin always playing the righteous fellow "what if I told you I killed someone? Would you still want to understand and care for a murderer?"

Message from author :

Okay, I've been triggered for the past few days concerning the development of this book. Has anyone ever wondered why I haven't updated? No? Yes? Well, because I'm not encouraged.

I know my writing can be awful at some point but some *people* make it look like I don't know I have mistakes, tons of mistakes in this book.

People point out errors and it's even hard for me to make out what exactly their saying when they're aggressive for no reason. If you don't like this book, please go. No one's forcing you.

Everyone says the pace is too fast, lemme explain  to you guys that Haru and Meilin didn't just fall in love with eachother at first sight.

They actually had interest in eachother even before the elevator scenario. I don't want to get into details, but at the moment It feels like I have to just to clear some issues.

I actually plan on editing this book when I'm done with it. I can't do the two things at the same time. Call it a rookie thing, I don't care but I'll try my best to perfect this book even if it takes me years. If other books update at 30 chapters a week, that's fine.

I'm me, and I can't do half of that. Everything basically pops out of my head. I have no written drafts, everything just pops up and that's why I have clash of ideas which delays updates.

If you can't b.a.r.e with me, you can exit. This is the only project that I actually gave my all, and when people just blast it, it gets me upset. Even if you want to point out corrections, do it in a civilized way.

Thanks for your gifts even though this might not be the best book out there. I'm really grateful for whatever picked your interest in my work. Hope you stick around till the end 💓 and I'm also thankful to whoever still has hope in not only this book but the author.

I'm encouraged by the power stones but sometimes I feel like I need to get some opinions (orderly ones) from my dear readers. If there's anything wrong, I will fix it. I promise. Thank you
