I Am A Villain

Chapter 37 - Supernova!

In a specific room of the hospital, 2 people could be seen standing face to face. Normally it would not be strange, but in this case, the hand of the man was piercing the body of the woman directly in her heart.

Zero: "With this, I completed my part and you completed yours."

Rikka: "I surprisingly don't feel any pain… but isn't this too cruel?" – she said as she looked at the hand lunged into her heart.

Zero: "What can I say… I'm a bad, bad man!"

Rikka: "Hahaha… we both know you are no man."

Zero: "Hooo… and what am I?"

Rikka: "Clearly a monster… after all, you have quite the smile in your face… as if you gained the world in your hand." – she said as she smiled lightly.

And indeed, Zero had a fearsome smile in his face… having gained something that was on par with his first wish. Without any further discussion, Rikka was consumed and Zero could be seen standing alone in the room.

Pulling out his sword, Zero cut his own head off. After waiting for a few seconds nothing happened.

'So no shortcut to dying… or maybe 'we' just have to lose someone.'

Concentrating, Zero destroyed one of the countless souls inside him and suddenly found himself in a foreign space. In front of him were countless roads… each leading to a different future, some extremely alike and some so different that it made you think it was another world entirely. Some of them had a high probability of happening and some a very low one. The greyed ones out had a 0% probability of happening, being designated as the dead branches.

System: "Congratulations on the user being the first existence to walk on 'Yggdrasil': The world tree that reaches into every world, their future, their past, and their present. Keep in mind that there are three possible types of futures for every world."

{High-probability future: A future that will be(either here on in a parallel world)

Low-Probability future: A future that might be(Depending on the variables)

Zero-Probability futures: A future that will never be(There is no catalyst to even start this future) – even if you become the catalyst, the amount of things that need to go the right way for the future to become real requires an unheard amount of luck.}

[A.N: Didn't think about the world tree at first but you gotta admit it fits just right.]

'To think that this skill connected one to Yggdrasil… but still, an unheard amount of luck… huh, what a coincidence, I got just the right amount then. Isn't that right, my little sacred gear?'

'Let's see then… in this future, I don't move out of the room in 30 seconds and something bad happens… okay, let's try it.'

As Zero moved out of the room he left behind an observing spell to see what happens, and after 30 seconds Kuro opened the door and panicked after not seeing Rikka in there, but only the small pool of blood.

'… ok, yea I see it now. That would look really bad.'

As Zero crushed another soul he was back in Yggdrasil.

System: "You have formed a connection with Yggdrasil. Your soul's presence is starting to infect Yggdrasil. The chance for a future you d.e.s.i.r.e to come into being is getting higher."

'Interesting… and helpful, but I cannot help but wonder, is this luck, or is this due to my soul that evolved to something equaling my body.'

As Zero continued looking into the futures he was simply fascinated. It made him realize how irrelevant he was… it also made him realize something.

'In most if not all of these worlds… humans eventually overcome their enemy. They learn and adapt in a slower way than me most of the time, but sometimes quicker. Now how to use this to my advantage?'

'Hahahaha… of course, how can you lose if you are both the good and the bad guy. One hand offering salvation and the other bringing death, both hidden from each other but controlled by the same person. Plus with this setting, it is bound for a 'protagonist' to show up. Either way, I will make them dependent on something I control so I can always just cut them out in the end. Anyway, this is a matter for later.'

Zero: "Relocation!" - All of a sudden Zero used his magic to teleport more than 100 light-years away from earth.

'Let's see how much we can increase the scale of the destruction.'

Slowly, one by one, numerous stars where being erased from the night sky, nobody realizing that they were being used as test subjects for something much, much bigger.

'Tests nr. 53 failed, even with all the luck Telos Karma provides, the d.e.s.i.r.ed objective is not being matched. Perfect conditions are extremely rare to reproduce. Only one success, the resulting force leaving much to be d.e.s.i.r.ed due to the small size of the catalyst. Checking with Yggdrasil while in the process brings immediate failure due to the fact that my attention doesnt remain in the physical plane, even dividing my mind in parts has proven futile as every mind inside my body moves with me. Though the visit to Yggdrasil lasts but less than a second it still destroys the magic sequence.'

'After evaluating the multiple variables that can affect it during a fight I have decided to initiate Plan B: Creating the prefect conditions with the catalyst from scratch, using magic sequences. Phase A is already completed. All that is required to continue is to test the effect of my domination on the said catalyst. It should be no problem to control the process and effect.'

Suddenly countless magic circles appeared in front of Zero, forming a large dome and in the middle, a small ball of light appeared.

Zero: "Order!"

'Starting nuclear fusion. Increasing the mana supply to the maximum.'

Slowly the light ball became a star and started to increase in size as Zero backed away his domain increasing in size with it. It soon reached the size of Earth but it did not slow down at all and after mere moments reaching the size of Earth's sun.

'I need more mana.' – As Zero increased the amount of mana supply system messages appeared in front of him.

System: "Warning, mana levels surpassing the body's current limits… the body is adapting"

As the messages continued so did the size of the star continue to increase until it reached 10 times the size of Earth's sun.

'That is some heat… but we can go for more. More mana, let's aim a little higher.'

As the star continued to increase in size Zero was forced to back away continuesly due to its size and heat. The system sending countless messages and Zero clearly hearing some *pop* sounds inside his body, as if biomass was exploding. After about 1 minute the sun had reached the d.e.s.i.r.ed size, topping at 43 times the size of Earth's sun.

'Now to the fun part!'

Zero: "Order!"

System: "Warning! Warning! The star is about to start its Gravitational Collapse."

Zero: "Time Acceleration."

System: "Warning! Warning! The star is about to release a large amount of energy."

Zero: "Well, would you look at that... I created a supernova."
