I Don't Belong To Such A Stupid World

Alex: ...Right…

He forgot about Nulgath being able to communicate through the Oblivion Blade of Nulgath. And now god knows what will happen…

Dage the Evil was like Alex, a person that made a contract with Nulgath, but he asked for power in change of his soul, becoming Nulgath's apprentice. One thing leads to another, and now Dage the Evil and Nulgath are enemies, if Alex was correct, in future there should be a war between the two.

Dage: Ah, Nulgath, long time no see…

Nulgath: A̶p̸p̶r̸e̶n̶t̷i̴c̸e̴.̴.̴ ̸A̷n̸d̵ ̵y̵o̸u̶!̵

The Oblivion Blade of Nulgath turned around and faced Alex, who gave him a middle finger.

Alex: This is for forcing me to remain weak, asshole. I would have done nothing if you just took only the levels I had back then, but you wanted to take even the future ones.

Nulgath: A̶l̴e̴x̵a̶n̶d̴e̸r̷!̷

Nulgath seemed pretty enraged from the sudden turn that the events are taking. However, he didn't finish to talk.

Nulgath: V̴e̴r̵y̶ ̴w̵e̴l̴l̵…̷ ̷T̷h̵e̸n̴ ̵I̷ ̷w̸i̴l̷l̷ ̷t̷a̷k̴e̶ ̷t̶h̷e̶ ̴l̵a̵s̴t̴ ̴f̴r̵a̴g̶m̵e̶n̴t̵ ̸o̴f̷ ̸y̸o̵u̴r̸ ̸s̷o̸u̷l̴ ̴f̴r̷o̸m̵ ̷y̵o̸u̸r̸ ̴b̸o̵d̵y̴!̶

Nothing happened.

Alex checked his body, there didn't seem to be anything wrong. Nulgath seemed to be calming down for some reason and said.

Nulgath: I̴ ̵s̵e̴e̵…̸ ̵S̶o̵ ̸y̷o̴u̷ ̸g̶o̸t̵ ̷t̴h̷e̸ ̸p̷r̵o̸t̸e̶c̵t̴i̸o̶n̴ ̸o̸f̶ ̴a̷ ̴H̶i̶g̶h̷e̷r̴ ̴B̴e̷i̵n̷g̶…̷ ̴W̴h̸a̶t̸e̸v̸e̴r̷,̸ ̴r̴e̵m̸e̸m̴b̷e̶r̷ ̸m̴y̶ ̴w̴o̵r̵d̶s̷,̶ ̵A̷l̵e̷x̷a̷n̶d̸e̵r̸.̸ ̷T̶h̵e̴ ̷n̷e̸x̷t̸ ̵t̵i̴m̶e̷ ̵w̵e̸ ̴w̷i̴l̵l̸ ̴m̵e̵e̸t̵ ̵e̶a̸c̶h̵ ̶o̸t̵h̴e̶r̶,̴ ̵i̶t̶ ̸w̸i̸l̴l̶ ̸b̴e̸ ̷y̶o̶u̵r̶ ̸e̶n̴d̵.̶

The Oblivion Blade of Nulgath then shut off, breaking the link with Nulgath. Using his magic, Dage took control of the Oblivion Blade of Nulgath and the Overfiend Blade of Nulgath, which flew beside him.

Dage: Well, now that the deed is done… I will give you your first trial, Alexander. Fail this, and you fail at becoming a member of the Undead Legion. If you succeed this and the next ones, not only you will be able to join, but I will also teach you the Dark Arts. Got it? 

Your first, and easiest, mission is to take down the Black Knight of Greenguard Forest. The Knight has been Undead for quite some time yet refuses to join the Undead Legion… So it's up to YOU to show the Black Knight the Legion's true power. Only the foolish would dare come back without the Black Knight's Eternal Contract… 

Alex froze on his place, recognizing who Dage was talking about, and scratched his head.

Alex: Well… That will take some time to accomplish…

Dage: You have the entire time of the world to accomplish this task, I will wait here for your return.

Alex slightly bowed down, and left from the room. While he was heading out from the fortress, he took out his map.

In the only dragon head-shaped continent that was drawn on the map, he was at west of it, right beside the sea. Greenguard Forest obviously in Greenguard, the region in the very center of the continent.

However, there was something missing from the region of Greenguard. It was the town of Battleon, which was currently in the Oaklore Forest, at far south-east. His eyes narrowed as he gazed at the town, before he remembered the event that caused Battleon's relocation.

There wasn't still any news of the presence of the 1st Chaos Lord, so right now he should worry about other things.

Like Gravelyn's second task, collecting the money of the Unlife Insurance from that pig of a Tax Collector in Swordhaven… When he will get strong enough, he will go to collect the Contract from a certain ghost of a Black Knight.

He reached the outside of the fortress, and glanced at the direction where Oaklore Forest, home of Swordhaven and Battleon, was.

Alex: *Sigh* Another week of flight…

He rolled his map and put it in his magical inventory, before he summoned an Overfiend Blade of Nulgath and hopped over it. He really needs another form of transportation… Or maybe get stronger, so he could go faster over the sword without falling.

While he was on his sword, he looked at his adventurer card. He was Level 4, and had 35 Skill Points, when he will reach something like level 15 or 20, he will begin Dage the Evil's mission.

Because first of all, the Black Knight was strong. Fortunately, he can skip the quests of the Black Knight to get his armor back from various monsters since Alex just needs to make sure he signed the Eternal Contract, and he isn't just a NPC anymore. Anyway, the Black Knight was still too strong for Alex to handle now.

So… Maybe after the 1st Chaos Lord's ordeal?

[1 week later]

Alexander was kneeling in front of the King Alteon, who looked at him with a smile.

King Alteon: Oh! Good day, Sir Alexander. We suppose you helped the Empress with her problems.

Alex: Well, not yet. There is something I need to do for her. I would like to speak with the Tax Collector.

King Alteon: Oh, you're talking about Baron Bayconn. He is at the left side of the castle, somewhere in the first floor... We are curious about the reason you want to speak with him, may We listen to it?

Alex: Well… How do I say it… Apparently Sepulchure had an Unlife Insurance.

When he finished to talk, the King was starting to wheeze out a laugh, so Alex waited some dozen of seconds, however the King wasn't stopping laughing about what Alex said. So the latter just waved at the knights protecting the King and left.

[10 minutes later]

Alex was currently hanging upside down from a chain tied to his feet inside a prison.

Alex: Well, at least I roughly know where is the money now…

He went to the Tax Collector… Do you remember when the author wrote that he was a pig? He wasn't joking, his head was literally that of a pig, letter for letter, he didn't looked like a pig, he WAS one.

Well, after he went to the Tax Collector, the pig decided to not pay the trillion of gold that he owed Gravelyn, and decided to put Alex in prison.

Since Alex didn't know where was the money so he could take it by force, he just let himself get captured and go to the prison, just like in the game of Adventure Quest World, where the money was right over the prison.

Now he just need to go out from the prison and hunt for the pig that should technically be at the end of the prison.

He summoned a Phoenix Blade of Nulgath and cut off the chains, falling face first in the ground.

Alex: Ouch, my nose…

While he massaged his nose, he used the Phoenix Blade of Nulgath to cut off the iron bars separating him from the outside. Then he went out, where the guards in the prison gazed at him in surprise before they picked up their spears.

Alex looked behind him, where he found a teleporter in the ground, which should take him outside the prison.

He turned back to the guards who were slowly approaching in silence, and snapped his fingers, creating 3 more Phoenix Blades of Nulgath. He would have picked up the Oblivion Blade of Nulgath instead, however he didn't want to have anything to do with Nulgath for now.
