I Transmigrated as the Cannon Fodder Villain

Some time passed and Gideon was getting comfortable once more with the idea of Kaiden speaking to him. Of course, he still had his reservations towards this newfound attitude of Kaiden. It seems like he was somewhat bolder than before. But!

'Isn't this too much?!' 

"Woah... when I was going to deliver these, I never expected it to be these" Amias, who had bandages on his nose, poked his head from behind.

Earlier today, Amias suddenly appeared with a huge box and bouquet of flowers in his hands. Gideon was about to ask what the occasion was when he remembered it was Heart Day. It was this world's equivalent of Valentine's day since they changed out of all of the occasions after the reveal of the existence of Angels, Demons, and Monsters. It would be illogical of humans to continue worshiping them using the wrong names when they already revealed themselves.

"Are you sure it's really meant for me?"

"Of Course, is there another person in this world named Gideon Lemery?"

"Did you even bother looking into that?"

"Nope"

Gideon sighed as he took out the handwritten note that blatantly states right in the front with neat writing "Don't open until Amias leaves"

"pshhh so secretive"

Amias tried to reach for the letter but suddenly felt a strong power just smack his hand. A bruise appeared on the back of his hand that looked like it was hit with a whip or something. For Amias, this was very familiar since it looks exactly like Luciel's powers.

"He really is something..." Amias laughed as he rubbed his hand.

Gideon placed down the letter and took a bag of cold peas for Amias to put on his bruise. This man already got into several fights in the past few days. To the extent that Gideon himself wants to smack some sense into this guy. Like, are you some sort of masochist?!

'Maybe he is'

A shudder could be felt down Gideon's spine as he looked at Amias with a disgusted expression. Amias already knew what he was thinking and rolled his eyes.

"I'm not that kind of person. Even when I'm in bed, I don't enjoy that as much. Like there was this one time that I thought this girl was innocent given she was a virgin but turns out she was extremely kinky and the next day my ass still hurts" He was brutally honest and Gideon shook his head.

"Alright ALRIGHT! Stop oversharing!" Gideon was red from hearing all of that.

"Haha then don't take me like I'm a pervert. I rather like vanilla" Amias shrugged.

"Tsk! I swear…" Gideon gave up on scolding Amias since he'll just continue to overshare about his "bed" stories.

"I'm just saying! And it's not like you're innocent yourself, especially with your situation with the prince"

That blatant reminder of that fateful day was enough for Gideon to turn into a walking stoplight with how red he was right now. He knew that Amias would be able to tell what went on that day with the two of them without even them saying. And that was all due to the fact that Gideon could not control his powers.

"I-it was one time and it was a life or death situation with me"

"If you say so…" Amias plopped down the couch as he took a rose from the bouquet of flowers that he brought.

"Is that also from Kaiden?" Gideon recovered a little bit when he saw the roses and Amias shook his head.

"It was actually from the King. The roses here are from the Royal Garden"

The king sent Gideon a bouquet of roses? Oh dear, did he already find out about the situation between him and Kaiden?

"Did it also come with a card?"

"Yeah, and it also came with the same seal" Amias began to explain but he suddenly muttered "I swear those two are so similar that I wonder why they don't get along"

Gideon will pretend that he did not hear it but he can't help but feel curious about the notes. Of course, he can't just kick this guy out of his place. Even if Theodora was here, it would be rude to suddenly kick out a guest when they took the effort to deliver these.

So instead he thought of just asking how Amias was doing before kicking him out.

"I'll just open these later" 

Gideon placed the letters on the side and took the chocolates from the box. All the while he was avoiding looking at the other extra stuff such as the random magic stones and books in there. It's also worth noting that it's amazing for Amias to be able to carry all of these with one hand.

"Do you want some?" He took a piece of chocolate for himself and ate it. Amias looked at it before hesitantly taking one. Looks like this one is safe to touch. 

'Paranoid much?' Gideon thought 

"Thanks" Amias smiled as he popped the chocolate into his mouth.

"No problem… I just wanted to ask how you're doing lately"

"Oh um…" Amias was suddenly put on the spot with that question that he almost choked on the chocolate.

He thought about it for a while. Well, clearly he still has not recovered from the fight-confession he had with Damien. The fight was enough for him to be in shock for a while but the sudden confession was something else. He avoided talking to Damien and Luciel seemed to be enjoying this situation since he often calls him while Damien was with him. 

And to make matters worse, his broken nose was due to Damien accidentally putting in his powers when he elbowed him in the face. Because of that, he cannot have his nose healed asap and he has to actually wait for it to recover normally which should take less than a month for him. But that was still devastating enough for him because he can't pick up anyone with a broken nose.

Maybe this is why he went from a Demon Noble to a Delivery and Errand boy of the royals until further notice.

"I think I made enough lemonade with the lemons that life threw at me"

Gideon understood the saying and frowned. He remembered that Damien and Amias fought. That is why he's concerned for this friend of his.

"Your situation back then"

"I and Damien have not spoken since that day. Did he bother you? You can ignore it for now. I don't want you to get dragged into this"

"He didn't, but why did you two fight in the first place? And don't say it's not my place to ask when you asked me last time about my fight with Kaiden"

Amias did ask Gideon about that back then and he trusted him enough to talk about it. Then should he also trust Gideon?

"It's really nothing serious"

But El is watching this kid. What is Gideon's relation to him?

"Are you sure?" Gideon asked with a tone full of worry.

Gideon doesn't seem to have any ulterior motives… yet.

"It's just something petty. It'll pass eventually"

"If you say so"

'Right, if I say so' Amias thought to himself before deciding to take his leave. He still can't shake off the new suspicion he has for Gideon especially when there's such a being that's watching over him.

"Oh before I leave, can I ask you something?"

Sometimes El manages to manipulate someone enough to forget about his existence entirely.

"Yeah what is it?"

"Have you spoken with a strange person lately? like... you feel like you forgot something after meeting them?" Amias can't directly ask if Gideon had met with El because that's one of El's powers. He's able to prevent people to talk about him.

"hmm..." Gideon thought about it and there was indeed this one time when he was with Eliam.

"Yeah, I met up with a friend and for some reason, I started crying. I don't know why I was crying and why I had this fear towards Kaiden"

"What?! why didn't you tell us?" Amias was surprised. Then did El manipulate Gideon into fearing Kaiden?

"Oh, I'm not sure. I mean he was the one who suggested that I should make up with Kaiden and assured me that it was just a misunderstanding" Gideon quickly reasons and now this brought up a new wave of questions within Amias.

So it wasn't El that manipulated Gideon into hating the prince? What exactly is going on? He could have sworn that it was El's powers that he sensed on Gideon.

"Do you remember his name and what he looks like?" Amias asks

"Yes, um... why are you asking me all of this?"

Right, it would be suspicious to ask everything right at the get-go.

"Ah, nothing nothing... I was just curious about who's this friend of yours since he was the reason why the prince and you are closer than ever"

Gideon blushed and with a frown, he replied "What are you talking about? If you're going to leave just leave already"

"haha, Bye Gideon"

When Amias left, it was thanks to his teasing that he realized El's goal. It wasn't making Gideon fear Kaiden. Rather it was to push them together.
