When Amias left, it was only then Gideon glanced back at those letters that were on the table. It was quite hard to choose which one to open first. But he ultimately decided to open Kaiden's letter first. The start was quite simple;

It was quite long and it seems like Kaiden really put his thoughts into compiling this gift. This made Gideon's heart skip a little. There was another note that acted as a manual for the magic stones and it was clear as well as straight to the point with the colors being its guide and it shows what magical benefits they emit.

"These are the same as those healing crystals back in my world..."

Gideon put away everything and picked up the violet stone. He raised it up against the ceiling light and it shone brightly. It reminded him of Kaiden's eyes and that alone was enough for him to blush again and place the stone back into the box. Right... there were the flowers that were sent by the king as well as a card that comes along with it.

Gideon picked up the card and opened it.

"Did you know that flowers have different meanings as well as their colors? At first, I found these little things bothersome but it was my love that showed me a whole new meaning to this cute hobby of hers"

Luciel must have been talking about Gabriella here. In the original, she helped out with the gardens of the church she often volunteered in.

"And since it is heart's day, I thought I'd send you a bouquet to express my feelings to you. It ought to be best if you were the one who deciphered my message. Of course, this can still change but I have no guarantee when so I only say best of luck to you and to my son - Luciel"

Upon glancing back at the flowers, Gideon couldn't help but frown. At a glance, they look like a wonderful arrangement of flowers. They are truly beautiful to look at but his curiosity got the best of him and he searched up the meanings of each flower present in that bouquet.

Pink Roses had three meanings: Gratitude, Grieving, and Congratulations.

Orange Lilies meant Hatred, Pride, and Disdain.

Yellow Carnations means Rejection and Disdain.

If Gideon wasn't mistaken Luciel just outright told him "I hate you". And with the added note of "Best of luck to you and to my son", it seems like Luciel knows about Kaiden's feelings towards him. A frustrated Gideon messed up his own hair and let out a groan. Gideon rejected his son so why?

"Ah, is it because I rejected Kaiden?" Gideon suddenly realized this but also thought that either way, Luciel would probably send this bouquet regardless of what he answered.

Still, there were the "Gratitude" and "Congratulations" meanings, so it must mean Luciel was also thankful in a way that Gideon rejected Kaiden.

Thinking back about Kaiden, his note said to send him a reply once he's finished reading it. And that was what he did. He began typing a few words-

"Kaiden, I read your letter..." is what he had written so far

He shouldn't think about Luciel's taunts for now since Kaiden did tell him that he would protect him...

'WHY DO I FEEL RELIEVED THAT KAIDEN IS GOING TO PROTECT ME?!'

The phone suddenly vibrates and Gideon almost dropped his phone. He catches it and saw that Kaiden has responded to his unfinished message.

Kaiden: It's been a while since we last chatted but...

Kaiden: Are you upset with the present? Did I go overboard?

Argh! They're having misunderstandings again due to Gideon's stupidity

Gideon: No No! I really liked your present, I wasn't done typing when my hand suddenly slipped and it sent the message.

Kaiden proceeded onto sending a laughing sticker as well as a nervous sticker. Gideon smiled since it was nice having to talk to someone like this casually.

Gideon: Regarding your offer, we can hang out tomorrow if you're free.

Kaiden: Won't your mother get upset?

Gideon: not really since she's still busy training her recruits. She'll be home tonight but gone by tomorrow morning. You can pick a place and we can just meet up there.

There was some pause with their interaction. It seemed like Kaiden was trying to decide where they should go. Well that was what Gideon assumed when in reality, Kaiden was trying to decide whether he should offer that he'll pick up Gideon from his place.

'But wouldn't that be too much? I need to build up his trust first again so that he'll be comfortable around me and maybe even share the same feelings that I have one day'

Kaiden blushed at the idea of Gideon confessing to him that he likes him too.

"My heart can't take this" Kaiden fanned shrank in shame as he drowned in his Gideon Fantasies.

He was focused on imagining what Gideon would wear that time and what they would do. Maybe they would even intertwine their fingers as they hold hands and walk. Oh! such bliss~<3

While Kaiden was busy with that, his phone actually vibrated and a notification showed up:

Gideon: Are you busy rn? Just message me the address and the time. Thank you again for the gifts. I'll make sure to get you something in return as well as thanks.

The moment Kaiden was done with his imaginations, he remembered that he was actually talking to Gideon. He recovered himself and checked his phone. Fuck! he let himself get carried away with his daydreams. Well, it was nice to think about it but that won't happen until he improves the current situation.

'Tomorrow... Where should they go?'

The last time they went out, they went to the Southern Capital. Maybe they should go Further down south? However, that would mean they have to travel more and he wasn't sure if Gideon would agree to that.

He settled for an outing to the western region of the capital instead. Those parts are known for their beautiful mountain ranges as well as the Architecture of their buildings and Art in general. He'll just ask Gideon in case they do stay overnight due to unforeseen events if he's comfortable with that idea. Otherwise, he'd scratch the entire idea and just go for a stroll here in the capital.

Thinking about this alone was hard and Amias was still not here. So it's time to bother Azazel and ask about his opinion. Since it was sure as hell that Kassandra would not help him and maybe would even snitch this idea to Theodora. Damien had not been interested in talking to anyone. So the last resort would be Azazel. Yes, his father was out of the question.

"Azazel! I have something to ask of you!" Kaiden barged into Azazel's room without warning and the guy, who had been resting for some time after Luciel realized that he was overworking his buddy, woke up with a terrible expression.

"What the fuck... What time is it? I thought Luciel said I can take a break until I'm fine"

"Yeah he did, this is personal"

Azazel shifted his face into his pillow but his whines could still be heard

"Is this something about Gideon?"

"Yes, I'd like to ask what should I do... Gideon agreed to go on a date with me"

Silence befell the two and Azazel slowly sat up and rubbed his eyes.

"I'm sorry what?"

"Not exactly a date, but he agreed to hang out with me alone so... you can say it's a date"

Azazel had a complicated expression upon hearing this bullshit that Kaiden served him in the middle of his sleep. But he knew that Kaiden wouldn't leave him alone until he gave a satisfactory answer.

"What you should do is just ask Gideon what he wants"

"I can't cause I accidentally forgot to reply to him so he must have thought I already have something planned"

"Isn't Amias or Damien a better option for this?"

"Amias is not here yet and Damien won't talk to anyone unless it's his soldiers"

Azazel wanted to kick Kaiden out right now so badly.. But hearing about Damien's situation made him wonder just what happened with those two that they're acting like this? In the end, Azazel heard Kaiden's initial plans and flushed those down the toilet, and suggested a whole new plan.
