~KYOMI~

As I got out the vehicle, there were stares from all directions and it made me very uncomfortable. I didn't like being the center of attention and yet recently since this entire thing with Dante blew up, that's all I've been receiving lately.

I noticed after taking one or two covert glances that very few of the guests were from our side. I knew this since I hardly recognized any of the faces that were looking my way. After all the social gatherings and personal meetings my father had set up from time to time I was sure to recognize that they came from our side in a split second. However that was not the case, confirming that the people were actually scared to attend my wedding.

Dante's parents were at the entrance, his father had a pleased look on his face while his mother seemed genuinely happy.

I followed their guidance and was surprised by the most beautiful set up I'd ever seen for any wedding before.

They had surely outdid themselves.

The ceremony was being held in their backyard which was large enough to fit everyone invited and much much more. The chairs were adorned with flowers and pink ribbons.

The pathway was covered in pink and white rose petals that led straight to an arch with white roses where the men stood waiting.

That's when my eyes fell on Dante. He wasn't looking in my direction since the music hadn't even started yet and I don't think much people were even aware that I'd arrived as yet. But I was glad for that, it gave me time to stop and stare.

This man was a masterpiece. The most handsome groom I'd ever seen in my whole entire life. He was dressed in a black suit with a satin white shirt beneath and had never looked so God damn irresistible as he did right now . . . That was saying a lot, considering he was already so irresistible on a

normal day.

I took a deep breath as I felt my father stand beside me. "It's time." He told me just as the music started to play to signal for us to start walking.

I hooked my arm in his and tried to hold my head high despite the fear inside of me of starting a completely new life. Only one thing was singing in my head, I couldn't disappoint my family another time. It was important that today went on without any problems.

However, the moment Dante turned and looked at me everything in me shut down. It was like everyone else disappeared and he was all that I could see. I got lost in his eyes and the way he was looking at me now. It was the way any bride would hope her groom looked at her, with admiration and awe . . . A look that said ' I'm the luckiest man alive.'

But surely I'd mistaken it. There was no way Dante would ever think he was lucky to marry me. He could have had any girl in the world and instead got stuck with me, why would anyone be happy about that?

"Kyomi." My father whispered, his voice on edge. "You have to continue walking, people are staring."

That brought me out of my daze. And for the rest of the walk I made sure not to look at Dante again. Even when my father brought me to stand beside him, I still didn't look up. Afraid that I would embarrass myself again.

Dante gently took my hands in his as the ceremony started. I tried to pay attention to as much as I could but it was difficult to do having Dante's hand holding mine.

My hands trembled as we exchanged rings, and if it weren't for Dante's hands on mine I may have dropped the damn thing.

"Do you, Kyomi Palmer take Dante Clarke to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The pastor asked.

I swallowed, trying my best not to faint at a time like this.

"I do." I whispered.

"And do you, Dante Clarke take Kyomi Palmer to be your lawfully wedded wife?" He went onto Dante.

I saw the moment Dante hesitated even though it was just for a quick second. Confirming my earlier suspicions that he wasn't happy to marry me.

I felt his grip on my hand suddenly tighten. I silently peered up at him with wide cautious eyes to find him looking down at me with a fierce and intense look.

God, this passion. It was what had kept me from looking at him before. I always got lost in his eyes whenever he openly stared at me like this.

"I do." He finally responded.

This was it.

Dante and I were now officially husband and wife.
