~KYOMI~

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

I froze.

Kiss?

I had completely forgotten about this part of the ceremony.

I bit my lip and peered up at Dante nervously. His eyes were laced with a hunger that surprised me and without warning he touched my lips with his finger as he gently pulled it out from under my teeth. I gasped and parted them as I gazed up at him.

He touched my cheek and leaned down until his lips were inches away from mine. My heart was beating against my c.h.e.s.t and I forced myself to calm down.

The moment his lips touched mine everything around me disappeared. All of my senses were consumed by him and him alone.

One of his hands gripped my waist and pulled me tighter against him at the exact same time I wrapped my arms around his neck and held on for dear life.

Dante was so intoxicating, he had the power to keep me trapped in his gaze and lost in his arms. I loved being here, I loved having his hands and lips one my body.

He deepened the kiss, s.u.c.k.i.n.g on my top and bottom lip before sticking his tongue deep down my throat. I felt myself shiver before a m.o.a.n left my mouth.

That was when I heard someone clear there throat.

I immediately pulled away from Dante.

Oh God.

Why did I always forget about everything when he was around me?

I was sure my face was red and I made sure not to look at the crowd, afraid of how they were looking at us.

Dante didn't say a word, just walked off. At least he knew here, it was his home. I was new here, I didn't know where to hide from this huge crowd.

And the wedding was far from over, the evening reception still had to come.

"Well Dominic. We're officially tied together." Dante's father told my dad. My father wasn't happy about it but he did seem relieved that this part was over.

I wish I could say the same.

Things were about to drastically change for me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was time for the evening reception and I had just changed into my evening dress. A soft white satin dress with a long slit to the side.
As I stepped under the tent that had pretty blue lights, my eyes immediately started to scan the crowd. Unfortunately the only ones I could find was Dante and his brothers and so I took my place besides them. The moment Dante saw me his eyes widened and there was that hunger I'd seen earlier today, except this time it seemed much more stronger.
But then he did something that worried me, he turned away from me as though I'd burnt him. Dante from the past would have come and said something to me, even flirted a little.
I didn't like this side of him. I decided that I should distract myself by examining the crowd I wasn't used too.
I wasn't used to this kind of atmosphere. Everyone here acted so differently to what I was used too. Even the way they dressed was the opposite to what I was accustomed to seeing at any event I'd been too in the past, whether it be a party or social gathering.
The Clarkes' truly did live a completely different life to my own. My eyes travelled back to Dante whom at the moment was having a discussion with another young man around his age. The man's eyes glanced in my direction before smirking at Dante.
"How did you manage to trap little miss I'm too good for everyone else?"
My breath hitched at the man's words. It sounded like he didn't like me. Dante followed his gaze and saw that it was indeed me that he was speaking about. His jaw clenched, his eyes lethal as he turned his attention back to the man.
"Frederick." Dante growled. "Choose your words wisely or get the f.u.c.k out of my face."
"I would do as he says." Mateo agreed, his eyes just as cold and annoyed as Dante's.
I was surprised to see any of the brothers picking up for me.
Back home when anyone had anything bad to say about me, my parents usually scolded me for not living up to their expectations. It was never the other person who did any wrong, it was always me.
As far as I knew, none of the Clarkes really fancied me. So why would they decide to pick up for me?
I felt my heart warm at their actions.
Even the guy seemed surprised at Dante and his brother's reaction. Obviously he was used to them joking around to things like that and hadn't expected them to disagree with him this time. Whatever he was thinking now, he made sure to not speak of it. For he left our side without any protest whatsoever.
When I glanced back at Dante, he was already looking my way. I offered him a small smile. It was my way of saying thank you.
However, to my surprise he turned the opposite direction as if he hadn't seen me. His actions not only confused me but it also hurt my feelings as well.
Why was he behaving this way all of a sudden?
