87 Monologue of a Certain Baron Daughter 5

“Geez! Why did it turn into a house arrest in my own room?!”

The introduction event under the sakura tree didn’t go well for some reason. Furthermore, even though I had made a special trip to where everyone were enjoying the flower viewing, I ended up getting myself punished with house arrest.

I could still attend the entrance ceremony due to having a teacher, whose job was to watch over me, there though. Alas, after that entrance ceremony, I was still unable to attend the class because I ended up getting myself locked in my own room.

Due to that, my uniform that had been washed using laundry machine had already become a gleaming piece of attire with nary a speck of dirt on it.

“Just as expected. Flower viewing, is it? Don’t you think that it’s much better if you did not rush to that place~?” Viola asked nonchalantly without looking at me at all as she polished her nails with file.

The heck? Stop blowing your nail there. You’re supposed to be my attendant, aren’t you?!

“I mean, the self-introduction event isn’t going as expected. Still, it really can’t be helped since this has to be done before the entrance ceremony and it could be done if only the security guard didn’t always find me first before I can find everyone.”

Yes, the self-introduction in the boy’s dorm had already failed since the security guard found me first. Every single one of them also tried their best to catch me under the suspicion of me being an intruder.

How rude! I’m not an intruder you know! I mean, I was just climbing the wall, dammit! It was a hard climb too! Well, of course it was done with Trevor and Viola’s assistance….

Anyway, I did it completely based on the official guide. According to the guide, ‘I’ happened to go after the document that got caught by the wind and stumbled upon the open gate of the boys’ dorm. However, ‘I’ couldn’t enter the place since it was guarded by scary looking security guards. That was why ‘I’ opted to climb the wall because there’s the existence of the security guards as obstacles and hindrance. Well, that was how it went in the official guide.

In reality, even though Trevor had made all sort of preparation by hanging the document on the tree branch first, yet it went to the drain due to those same security officers. They even told me that no normal noble girl would climb over the wall!

Well, served them right. What did they know anyway? Nothing was impossible for me. I was the saint after all. Climbing the wall was a piece of cake for a girl as awesome as me.

However, the security officers completely didn’t believe me and even asked me if I knew secret passage or some sort to get inside the boys’ dorm… Like hell I knew something like that! Hadn’t I tell them that I came in by climbing over the wall?! Why didn’t they believe me?

How the hell could I answer something I don’t even know to begin with?! Secret passage? Yeah, right, weirdos. Fortunately, in the end, they released me since they couldn’t find any hidden passage. But… the heck with those reluctant expression on their faces?! Did they still think I was lying?

I was innocent, dammit! [TL: Trespassing intentionally is a guilty warrant, good child shouldn’t try this at home!]

“Good grief. Even though the first event was supposed to be Theodore greeting me kindly then gathering everyone before taking the document while doing self-introduction… yet none of those happen.”

“Isn’t that a literal trespassing?”

“Of course it is! But it’s also the time for the important self-introduction event! It’s the first step to know everyone’s face and name before getting along with them!”

“However, even after you charged in like that, there was no self-introduction happening, right?”

Ugh, you meanie. Moreover, why are you painting your nail so nonchalantly like that? You’re supposed to be my attendant, right? Good grief, she has completely abandoned her job since there was no Neith supervising nearby.

Right, that must be the reason. The attendants. Ha~h, in the end, I couldn’t ask for everyone’s name since the attendants struck first with barrage of questions. Moreover, the attendants only asked for my name without introducing their own nor the capture targets’ name.

Seriously, who didn’t have proper manner here?! [TL: How dare a trespasser said this? They’re kind enough to let you scot free when they can actually kick you out or crush your house. ED: If you want introduction, there should be proper way to do it instead of crashing others’ party and expecting to be greeted with propriety.]

I definitely wouldn’t forgive that attendant, especially the one using the whip. What an idiot? Did he think that horse whip was enough to scare me?!

“Even though we managed to slip through their security with Trevor’s magic….”

Yeah, Trevor’s magic is awesome, as expected of the Demon King’s pet. We literally passed through the security without them noticing our presence.

It was only that the tree branch lack some guts. They should had done their best to withstand my weight for a while longer instead of yielding and broke like that. Really, thanks to that lack of guts, I fell right on the table and caused my uniform to get soiled with the food and sauces.

Alas, when I asked Viola to wash it for me once I returned to my room, it became gleaming instead. Good lord, if only Neith was here, he should be able to take care of something as simple as this. This Viola, on top of being unable to do anything, simply spoke too much on unnecessary things.

“Only preaching like this once you returned doesn’t feel like Milady at all. I mean, you rampaged at the security officers back then, so I had expected that you’ll rampage this time too.”

Look, she often said something like that. Totally unnecessary.

“The heck with expecting me to rampage? As if I can do that in front of everyone. Rampaging in front of those security officer is okay since they’re just mob character. Moreover, my character is supposed to be a brave and quiet girl. That will evoke everyone’s sense of duty to protect the weak me.”

“Yet none of them protect you, right?”

Guh, that remark really hit my sore spot. Indeed, no one had come to protect me even though those meanie attendants were interrogating me. Honestly, by then, I had felt something wrong there. Aside from the sense of wrongness, I had to admit that from the depth of my heart, I really wanted to punch that attendant with the horse whip in his hand right on his face.

However, I couldn’t do anything, so I endured the pressure. Yet, even when I did, none of the capture targets came forward to protect me. Instead, everyone and that attendant acted and looked really scary.

Moreover, there was also Theodore, who for some reason had short hair instead. I was sure he should be Theodore since he was the only blonde-haired man in that place. However, the Theodore I knew should be looking at the heroine with a gentle smile on his face with his trademark long blonde hair. Yet, no matter how you looked at it, the Theodore in this place looked like a naughty and lively boy instead. Plus, why did he glare at me like that?

Luke was Luke. He did wear glasses like in the game, but he didn’t have his white coat trademark. The one that should be the memento from the uncle of the heroine’s rival, the green rival character. And even Luke seemed to be wary of me.

“It must be the fault of that Katrina. That bi*tch must be a reincarnator too, and she must have changed the script to avoid her execution. Unforgivable!”

That girl seemed like a normal noble daughter, not like the villainess she was supposed to be, so she must be a reincarnator. At first, though it was already strange enough she wasn’t hindering me while letting out the typical high-handed, selfish laughter like the villainess in the game, it was fine and there was no problem since, well, she didn’t try to hinder me. However, I was mistaken.

Okay, since you’re trying to mess with me, don’t blame me for trying to fight back.

“Indeed. That should be the case…. Our plan got wrecked because of that too.”

Yeah, the plan got wrecked indeed. Even though Elliot expressed his gratitude to me, that attendant with the sword was simply a nuisance. The one who injured Theodore wasn’t me. I just wanted to separate him from that dull woman. I was threatened there! So, it wasn’t my fault, but then Elliot appeared….

“That matter aside, Milady, have you put the barrier stone properly in the plaza?”

“I just need to throw it in there, right? Yeah, I have placed it in the courtyard of the boys’ dorm. That kind of job should be entrusted to Trevor, right? Why does it have to be me who did it?”

“Well, it just happen that way since Milady seems to be really fired up about slipping into the flower viewing and the boys’ dorm. That’s why we might as well entrusted this to our kind Milady as well. Oh, and thank you for the cooperation.”

“Sure.”

The barrier stone we were talking about was an enchanted magic crystal that was loaded with my magical power. I had made a lot of them as per Duke’s request. Honestly, I had no idea what he would use that for, but according to him, it was to allow me, Trevor, and Viola to have a peaceful life in the academy.

Hmm, perhaps it was to protect everyone in the academy by scattering those around just like what he did in our family? Anyway, they arranged one in the girls’ dorm and two in the school building too, so it should protect me well.

I mean, I would be bullied once I came to this school after all. So, that being the case, I really wanted to avoid making a mess of my uniform and having to hear constant abuse. Hence, the barrier stone was absolutely necessary.

Ha~h, I wanted to meet Duke again. I wanted to make him hear my complaints, and make him smile after showing a dumbfounded expression on his face.

It had been six years since Duke had come to our house, but we had been travelling together inside the kingdom during that time.

We visited practically everyone’s territory, and I knew everyone’s speciality. For example, the fruit in the south of Blackcurrant territory. I tried it and it was delicious. Since Rex’s favourite sweets were blueberries, I guess it made sense to see a lot of blueberries in that territory.

Another was in the Cobalt territory in the northeast. There was a really beautiful lake there. Another thing in the Crimson territory in the southwest was the hot spring, which I really wanted to visit again. Since my skin became smooth and silky after entering it. A~h, I couldn’t wait to enter the hot spring again.

In the capital of Greenwell territory in the southeast had a lot of flowers, which make a beautiful sight too. Eh? Some sort of magic tools’ part you say? Meh, I wasn’t interested, so I didn’t know. Anyway, I had a lot of fun in the Goldberg territory in the northwest. They sold a lot of accessories and precious metal there.

Although we were travelling from ten to fifteen days with almost no break, I enjoyed the trip so much. Sometimes, Duke would bring the barrier stone and went somewhere with Neith, though, and even told me not to follow them. I wondered why.

“Nya~n.”

Trevor had finally returned to our room.

“Where have you gone to?”

“Nya~.”

When I raised him up and hugged him, Trevor squinted his eyes as if enjoying it. I had worried about him because he looked listless when we just arrived in the academy. Fortunately, he seemed to have finally gotten used to this new place.

“It’s okay to be lively, but don’t wander around carelessly. The one who will get scolded if they ever find you is me after all since you can’t bring pet into the dorm.”

“Nya,” Trevor replied as if he understood what I mean.

Well, fine. Anyhow, let’s do our best to resist the bullying. Getting suspension from the first day of school was a slap on the face, but I wouldn’t miss the event of the Saint Festival in the 1st day of the 5th month. I had to capture every capture target by then in order to be selected to fill the role of the saint in the 1st year after all.
