I'll Tell You Every Day

Finally, it was the day of the sports fest. Daiyu wore a red headband on her forehead which read 'FIGHTING!' and she made matching ones for Liu Jin and Zhihao as well.

Earlier, she had asked Wang Jing to make her some pancakes and she packed them up in her piggy lunchbox to bring to school. She had also asked Butler Tang to teach her how to make honey lemon slices for her big brothers.

"Uncle Tang! Uncle Tang! Lemon!" She shook his leg as she reminded him of their work.

"Oh, right. Hold on Xiao Yu. Let me get them for you."

Daiyu nodded obediently.

"Ready, Xiao Yu?" Wang Jing asked.

Daiyu nodded excitedly.

"Grandpaw! Cheer for Daiyu!" She held his hand and looked up to him with anticipation in her eyes.

Wang Jing chuckled.

"Of course!" He then bent down and carried her in his arms.

"Grandpaw cheer, 'Fighting!'" She raised both of her arms.

"Fighting!" Wang Jing cheered.

Daiyu squealed in happiness.

"Fighting!" Daiyu repeated.

"Fighting!" Wang Jing indulged her.

Daiyu giggled and wrapped her arms around her grandpa's neck before kissing each of his cheek.

"Grandpaw, Daiyu loves you the most!"

Upon arriving at school, Daiyu went to look for Liu Jin and Zhihao first. Because Wang Jing had brought her to school, her big brothers didn't come to fetch her this morning.

"Jin-gege!"

"Xiao Yu!" Liu Jin smiled brightly.

Daiyu hugged him tightly and giggled.

"Jin-gege! Daiyu made Daiyu made a headband for you! And lemon!" She then handed him the red headband as well as a small container of the cold honey lemon slices.

Liu Jin blushed.

"X-Xiao Yu you made this for me?"

Daiyu nodded.

"Hehe." He giggled. Daiyu had worked hard for him!

"Creep."

Liu Jin closed his eyes, trying to erase Zhihao's presence.

"Zhihao-gege! Daiyu made some for you too!" She then handed him his share and his headband.

"Woah! Thanks, Xiao Yu!"

Daiyu giggled before facing Liu Jin.

"Jin-gege! Fighting!" She then tiptoed and planted a soft kiss on his cheek before running off to find her friends.

Liu Jin blushed. Daiyu was getting bolder every day. His little shy baby was growing out of her shell But he didn't mind. He smiled. He quite liked the happy and confident Daiyu.

"Ah. Young love." Zhihao sighed in the background.

"S-Shut up!"

The sports fest finally started. First, they held the relay, then the three-legged race, before it was finally Daiyu's turn. She was competing in the fifty-meter race and each team had two representatives. For Daiyu's team, their representatives were Daiyu and Zhou Yan.

"Yan Yan fighting!" Daiyu held his hand and cheered for him.

The boy blushed before shyly nodding.

Up in the stands, Wang Jing held onto a flag and had a headband around his head. He also wore a white shirt and all three items had Daiyu's name on it. Beside him, Butler Tang was wearing the exact same thing.

"Tang Yun." Wang Jing signaled him to get ready.

Butler Tang nodded. He was in charge of recording the race while Wang Jing was in charge of taking pictures.

They both concentrated, ready to record Daiyu's glorious moment.

Just then, the signal went off and Daiyu began running.

Daiyu had chubby legs. While she did lose weight because of Zhihao's intense training and diet plan, she was still a chubby bubbly baby. She ran with all her might, her cheeks bouncing up and down.

However, despite her hard work, she was still lagging behind. She watched as student after student passed by her, her heart slowly sinking. She closed her eyes, trying to concentrate on the race. Just then, she heard a familiar voice.

"Xiao Yu, fighting!"

Daiyu opened her eyes and looked towards the direction of the voice. Her eyes slowly widened, and a smile bloomed on her face.

'Grandpaw is watching Daiyu!'

With newfound inspiration, Daiyu began picking up her pace.

'Faster! Daiyu needs to go faster!'

She furrowed her brows and bit her lip. She tried remembering all of her Zhihao-gege's advice.

'When you run, imagine chasing after Jin! Think of Jin, holding a huge piece of cake. Do you want to lose your Jin-gege and the cake?!'

'Daiyu will not lose Jin-gege! Daiyu will not lose the cake!'

Daiyu ran faster and faster.

She thought of making her grandpa proud!

She wanted Uncle Tang to pat her head and praise her!!

She wanted to go to the waterpark!!!

As she ran, Daiyu didn't notice that she had crossed the finish line. She continued running and running until she noticed that she ran out of road.

"H-Huh?" Daiyu tilted her head to one side.

The crowed was stunned and the entire place was enveloped in a three-second silence.

"W-Woah! That chubby kid actually won!"

Just then, the victory trumpet went off and the crowd cheered.

Daiyu won!

Daiyu looked around, watching as everyone congratulated her. Her victory had not yet sunk in and she was confused.

"Daiyu! You won! You won!" Chunhua hugged her tightly.

"D-Daiyu won?" She asked and Chunhua nodded excitedly.

" D-Daiyu won!!!" Her eyes widened upon realizing her own victory.

"Yes! Daiyu won!"

Both girls hugged each other tightly and began jumping in glee.

Just then, Daiyu heard a familiar voice.

"Xiao Yu."

Daiyu turned her head and saw Liu Jin smiling at her. She quickly ran towards him.

"Jin-gege! Daiyu won!"

He chuckled.

"Congratulations, Xiao Yu. Jin-gege is very proud of you." He then handed her a bouquet of pink flowers.

He had prepared those flowers in advance. He was determined to give them to her whether or not she won.

Daiyu blushed and slowly took the flowers from him.

"Thank you, Jin-gege." She smiled brightly.

An arrow shot through Liu Jin's heart.

'S-So cute!!!'

Liu Jin quickly took out his camera. He had captured the moment Daiyu smiled towards him, her chubby cheeks blushing and a bouquet of pink flowers framing her face.

"X-Xiao Yu you're so cute." He blushed.

"XIAO YU!!!" Zhihao's voice came blasting at them.

Daiyu excitedly ran towards him.

"Zhihao-gege! Zhihao-gege is the best coach!" She tackled him with a tight hug and they both fell to the ground.

He blushed.

"Hehe. Really?" He scratched the back of his head shyly.

Daiyu nodded.

"Daiyu listened! Daiyu imagined Jin-gege running with cake!"

" What?" Liu Jin glared at Zhihao and the boy sweated nervously.

"Hahaha WOW I don't know what you're talking about Xiao Yu." He denied.

"But Zhihao-gege said

"HAHAHA ANYWAY! Congratulations! Waterpark! We're going to the waterpark!" He quickly distracted her.

Daiyu's eyes widened. That's right! They were going to the waterpark!

"Waterpark!!!" Daiyu giggled excitedly.

After Daiyu's race, the three children had lunch with Wang Jing and Butler Tang. Butler Tang had packed a delicious meal for them, already expecting Daiyu's victory. He had faith in his little young mistress and he thought that if she did lose, at least the food would appease her.

When they were done eating, they all left to get a good seat to watch Liu Jin and Zhihao's game. Nana and Shuren had arrived and Victoria was present as well. They were all going to watch the boys play a relay race.

The first runner was Liu Jin. He was to pass the baton on to his classmates before it reached the final runner also known as the anchor. Liu Jin gave the role to Zhihao without a second thought. He knew how athletic the boy was and he had faith that he would run the last leg victoriously.

"Don't lose." Liu Jin reminded him casually as he adjusted the red headband on his head.

Zhihao smirked.

"Can't lose even if I try." He replied smugly as he put on the same red headband.

With the boys in position, the signal went off and the race began.

Liu Jin ran really fast and gave their team a huge head start. The margin was so wide that while the students assigned after him could not run as fast, they were still leading by the time the baton reached Zhihao.

Of course, Zhihao would not allow himself to lose to Liu Jin either. He ran the last leg as fast as he could and reached the finish line in record time.

"What a showoff." Liu Jin remarked with a smug smile. Still, he could not hide the pride he held for Zhihao swelling in his heart.

With their games over, the three children decided to enjoy the rest of the sports fest by playing and eating.

"Tomorrow tomorrow Daiyu wants to go to the caf!" She looked up to Liu Jin as she held his hand.

Liu Jin nodded.

"Alright. I'll take you there."

"Hey! Hey! Let's try the haunted houses too!" Zhihao excitedly added in the background.

"N-no! Daiyu h-hates scary stuff!" She pouted.

"Don't worry Xiao Yu, we'll offer him first to the ghosts."

"HEY!"

"Owkay."

"Don't agree with him!!!"
