Chapter 25 - Destined(?) Meeting

"Ho ho ~ Bring me another tea, Ms. Tohsaka."

"Hah? Are you dreaming? You have your own hand and feet, do it yourself, dumbo."

"Fu fu fu ~ aren't you my maid for the time being, Ms. Tohsaka? I won't give you your pay if you're lazy like this ~ "

"Grr, just you wait, Luvia! I'll surely pay back my debt! And I won't forget this humiliation!" Rin was grumbling fiercely with a look as though she couldn't wait to chew on Luvia while she went to prepare another set of tea for her.

"Ho ho ~ it's fine. I won't refuse a challenge. Although, you're currently still my maid, Rin." Luvia smiled in amus.e.m.e.nt as she looked at Rin dressed in maid uniform.

She didn't really mind helping Rafi and Rukino as it's part of her nobility's gesture. Besides, seeing their ability previously, she thought it would be better to build a good relation with those two. Especially now that they're still in trouble, it would be easier to earn several good points from them. Moreover, they're also her allied Master in the current Holy Grail War anyway.

Rin Tohsaka was indeed her allied Master too, however there's a reason she chose to put Rin through all that. It's none other than their rivalry, and for her own amus.e.m.e.nt as she pranked Rin to be her maid. Now that she was given a chance to pull one over Rin Tohsaka, she wouldn't easily let it go. Though, in her innermost feeling, Luvia admitted that Rin was a talented magus with similar caliber as herself.

Actually, history of rivalry between Edelfelt family and Tohsaka family stemmed since around 60 years ago, starting at Fuyuki's Third Holy Grail War. From the start, Edelfelt family was a mercenary-like aristocratic family who possessed Finnish lineage. One trait shared by their members was that they found great p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e in battle. Not only that, they were also famous for their shameless intervening into conflicts unrelated to them across the world, choosing and picking the most prized magecraft from those conflicts for themselves. It was also because of that they were interested into the ritual of Holy Grail War at Fuyuki city which was said to let the winner a chance to peer into the [ROOT].

At that time, Edelfelt family decided to send their representative to join the War. Due to their unique Sorcery Trait called Ore Scales, they were able to have two successors for their magecraft at the same time, unlike most magus families which could only have one successor at one time. Their representative was a pair of twin sisters who each summoned a different aspect of Saber Servant.

However, because their relationship was not quite good, the pair of sisters split up in the middle of Third Holy Grail War. At one point later, the younger sister of the Edelfelt was eventually defeated by Tohsaka family's head of that time. When the War was abruptly stopped due to Germany Nazis's interference, only the older sister of the Edelfelt managed to return to her home country and there was no further news about her younger twin sister after she was defeated. Since then, the Edelfelt swore to not step into Japan again as they also began to despise the Japanese, mostly the Tohsaka family, as well as became determined to wash away their humiliation from the Third Holy Grail War.

Even so, looking at Rin's appearance which was oddly similar to her, Luvia could guess what happened to that long-lost ancestor of hers...

'Hmph. What a useless old rivalry. Still, I also don't want to lose to Rin though. Fu fu fu ~ I guess this is really hereditary.'

As Luvia was still thinking of their family rivalry, her butler came up to her bringing a parchment paper.

"Young Lady, there is a message from the Association."

"Read it to me, Auguste." Luvia said lightly as she sipped her tea.

He looked dignified as he informed Luvia the content of parchment, "Young Lady, the Association has just sent an invitation for each Masters of Red Faction to gather at the Clock Tower at 09.00 AM today. The invitation are also applied to Lady Tohsaka, Lady Rukino and Sir Rafi."

"Hm, that soon?" Luvia frowned after she looked at the old antique clock hanging in the living room. It showed the time was at 07.00 AM.

She clicked in annoyance as she silently cursed, "Couldn't they inform us sooner? This rushed invitation... I really hate it."

Meanwhile her butler was quiet, patiently waiting his young lady's next order. He knew that his young lady should be upset now after receiving such rushed invitation. As, according to her, such a thing might be greatly lacking in elegance. Not that he disagreed to her view though, as he shared similar opinion to his young lady on that letter.

"Auguste, prepare my car. I want to see just what kind of important meeting is it with such rushed hour." Luvia smiled coldly as she then ordered her butler.

"Hey, this your tea." Behind them, Rin Tohsaka just came out bringing another set of tea for Luvia.

Seeing that Luvia stood up, looking irritated all of sudden, and the old butler went outside to prepare the car, it's as though Luvia was preparing to go somewhere. Rin then asked in confusion, "Where are you going to go?"

"Ara, Ms. Tohsaka. You can put the tea on the table. We're going to the Clock Tower now."

"Hey, hey, after I went to the trouble of making you the tea?!"

"The Association just invited us, Masters of Red Faction, to a meeting, Rin. Exactly at 09.00 AM later." Luvia said indifferently as she looked outside. On her courtyard, her butler Auguste already parked her car as he then waited patiently beside it.

"That soon?" It's Rin's turn to be perplexed over the rushed timing. She then glanced at a particular room on the second floor.

"Ho ho ~ that being said, you can make the tea again for me later, right, Ms. Tohsaka?" Luvia smiled smugly as she looked at Rin's angry face.

"You- you're such a devil, Luvia!"

"Mr. Saber over there, can I please ask you to tell it to him?" Luvia suddenly turned to another floor as she ignored Rin's glare.

From the stairs leading to second floor, there was a burly figure of man in blue T-shirt who materialized on their sight.

"...I can't promise my Master will go there right away though." He spoke with helpless smile as he looked apologetically at Luvia. Even his helpless smile still looked radiant.

"Then that's that. I and Rin will be going first. Come now, my maid."

"Hey?!"

.

.

.

Arriving inside the Clock Tower, at the designated room, both Rin and Luvia were greeted with the sight of some familiar and unfamiliar faces. Some chose to sit on the sofas, some chose to stand as if it's a natural thing for him to do. Both Rin and Luvia were not late per se, as they're early by 30 minutes. It was the other invited magus who came earlier than them.

Lord El-Melloi II. Head of Faculty of Modern Magecraft Theory. Within this timeline, Waver Velvet also still ended up as a Master in another imitation Holy Grail War with Iskandar the Great as his Servant. After Kayneth's death, Waver Velvet, as one of Kayneth's student, helped up rescuing the Archibald family from falling to ruin by collecting the scattered researchs which Kayneth did during his life into a tome. His action warranted enough interest from the successor of Archibald family who then asked Waver to be her mentor and the acting Lord of Archibald family on her behalf.

Prof. Rocco Belfeban. Old professor of the Clock Tower. Head of Department of Summoning. An old, antique and pedantic magus who stayed in the Clock Tower since who knew when...

Bram Nuade-Re Sophia-Ri. Successor of Nuade-Re Sophia-Ri family and successor of Head of Department of Evocation. He was a handsome red-haired young man in his twenties; a glance could show his refined stature, high-minded gaze and strong sense of duty which revealed his high position in the Clock Tower.

A white haired man wearing black priest garb who kept his genial smile all the time. From his appearance, he was clearly a representative from the Church.

A youth in grey robe, wearing an eye patch on his left eye. He had messy appearance as though he just woke up before attending the meeting, as he hasn't even fixed his hair and bed face. 'Hm, he didn't come to the meeting? Ah, what a pity...'

'Is there something troubling you, my lord?'

'Nah, there's nothing wrong, Rider.'

'...please pay attention on that black-clothed man and that little girl, my Lord. They don't seem like ordinary Master.'

'Hm, I know.'

A young petite girl who was both cute and elegant, wearing a collared purple long-sleeved shirt with a light purple scarf and a long white skirt and purple boots. She was endowed with long silky white hair reaching her waist, and a pair of beautiful crimson eyes which shone like a ruby. Her feet lightly kicked the air as she looked around to nearby magus beside her. 'Heh, so that's the current heir of Tohsaka family. She is really weak, right, Berserker? And the other Masters, hmm, only that messy person seem strong enough.'

'..grrr■■■...'

'Right ~ .'

"I am sorry to call all of you so suddenly like this. We also don't have much time. Priest Kotomine, can you explain the situation?" Prof. Belfeban spoke calmly as he then turned to Shirou Kotomine.

"My p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. Actually,-..." Before Shirou Kotomine could speak further, another voice spoke sternly as the speaker looked at both Rin and Luvia.

"Hm, wait, where are the other two Masters? I heard they're together with you, Ms. Luviagelita Edelfelt?"

Rather than a question, it sounded like a command for Rin and Luvia to answer it, managing to piss them off.

Rin was a successor to Tohsaka family, one of the families who founded the Holy Grail War ritual. Although they couldn't be compared to the Association as a whole, Tohsaka family was quite strong in term financial and territory compared to most magus families. Among its relations, Tohsaka family had connection to both the Association and the Church, establishing them as a special family who had good relations to both sides when most families had either neutral or 'not good' relation to the Church.

Meanwhile, Luvia was even the current Head of Edelfelt family as her father retired earlier, giving his position to her. As part of a mercenary-like family, pride and battle l.u.s.t were already running thick within her lineage.

Although they knew he was higher ranked within the Clock Tower, they didn't really fear him. Even if they didn't intend to turn him as full-on enemies, but few retorts wouldn't be left out to ease their temper.

"Oh, so it's the 'young prince' of Nuade-Re Sophia-Ri family. What a coincidence. I am sorry, I didn't notice you're here too. I thought you're too afraid to attend anything related with Holy Grail Wars after what happened..." Luvia spoke apologetically, accompanied by a clearly fake smile.

The previous Lord El-Melloi, Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald, and his partner, Sola-Ui Nuade-Re Sophia-Ri, joined one of the many imitation Holy Grail War. Unfortunately they still ended up with similar fate like the one on another timeline; which was dying on a Holy Grail War. Certain things still happened as though they were already predestined to happen.

"Besides, if you're really keen to invite us, you shouldn't do it so suddenly like this. We have our own agenda." Rin stated indifferently.

"I was just...!" Bram Nuade-Re Sophia-Ri wanted to argue further at first, though he backed off after Prof. Rocco Belfeban glanced at him as a reminder.

"Sorry for your inconvenience, but this is quite important; especially for you, Rin Tohsaka. Now that you're here, there's something I need to talk with you. You can continue, Priest Kotomine." Lord El-Melloi II, Waver Velvet, spoke calmly before he signaled for Rin Tohsaka to follow him.

Although she and Luvia were puzzled why Rin was singled out like that, Rin still followed Lord El-Melloi II outside. It's because he was her mentor in the Clock Tower. Out of all the people in the meeting, only Lord El-Melloi II got higher credibility to Rin Tohsaka than the rest of people there.

Following Rin's departure, Priest Shirou Kotomine continued on from where he left off.

"...The Church already agreed to cooperate with Mage's Association againts Yggdmillenia family. From what I know, Black Faction already summoned all their Servants since a week ago. That's why it's important for the Red Faction to summon all seven Servants too. For our base during the War..."

Inside another room not far away from the previous meeting place, Rin was clearly less tense. She could even use a light joke to start her conversation with her mentor.

"You said this meeting is quite important to me, so what's it for actually, Lord El-Melloi?"

"It's the second. Lord El-Melloi II, Ms. Tohsaka. Don't let me hear it wrong again." Waver Velvet glared at her. Though he knew she was only trying to lighten her mood. Still, knowing the reason the Association called for Rin Tohsaka, Waver couldn't help cursing in his heart. They pushed their dirty job on him just because he was her mentor.

"Ugh, fine. I still don't get it why you're so upset being called El-Melloi..." Rin apologized lightly as she took a seat.

"Well, I just don't like it. Anyway, the reason we called you here is to inform you something, Ms. Tohsaka." While Waver sat across her on another sofa, his finger slightly tapping on the table in front of them.

"...your father called the Association last night."

"My father did? What did he say??" Rin asked in surprise.

"Well, ugh, your father said Tohsaka family won't support nor prevent you from participating into the Holy Grail War, Ms. Tohsaka. Basically, you will be acting as lone magus, not someone on the capacity of Tohsaka family."

"Wha..?!"

"As such the Association decided to negotiate something with you. Those bastards, they asked me to deal with this negotiation."

".....?"

"There are already several voices which disagree with the selection of Masters, especially Masters from the successors of prominent magus family.

We gave one spot to the Church as Mage's Association needs their support to legitimize our cause.

Luviagelita Edelfelt is the heir as well as current leader of her family. So her decision is their family's decision too. She insists to participate, and is backed up by her family.

Einzbern family also is also participating into the War. Their representative is that little girl. Even if she looks like that, her age is roughly the same with you, Ms. Tohsaka. Considering their extensive knowledge on the Grail, we can't really exclude her.

And then there's three outside magus contracted to the Association. I believe you have met them. That guy with messy appearance is one, while I believe you're familiar with the other two. Unless something happened to them, I don't think the Association will terminate their contract.

Then, it's you, Ms. Tohsaka. Now that you don't have the support from your family, the Association wanted to replace you with other contracted magus, preferably one of the magus instructors."

"...is that all?" Rin asked indifferently. Though her face was slightly pale after hearing his explanation.

*sigh*

"This meeting is initially intended to distribute catalysts for each Masters. Those are verified catalysts which have greater possibility to summon powerful Servants. Even if a Master already summoned their Servant prior to this meeting, they would be recommended to change their Servant, unless their Servant is clearly stronger than our intended Servant.

Your case is an abrupt decision made by the upper ranks. The Association decided to replace you for someone they think more competent for the War.

Although, even if you're no longer supported by Tohsaka family for this Great Holy Grail War, you're still one of them at the end of day. The Association won't force you 'strongly'.

As an exchange for your Command Spells, the Association is willing to sponsor your study until you reach Fes rank in the Clock Tower."

"And if I don't agree?"

"...if you refuse this offer, I don't think your future in the Clock Tower will be smooth sailing, Ms. Tohsaka. Those old codgers are too rigid on their view. Although not openly, I think they will do whatever to hinder you..." Waver Velvet warned her sternly. He too felt disgust at how most upper ranks magus usually acted.

Unlike them, Waver Velvet chose to evaluate someone from ability regardless of their background. While most upper ranks chose to see the background of those they're dealing with before taking certain approaches to them.

The room was quiet as Rin seemed to be in deep thought while she considered her options. After a period of silence, she looked at her mentor as she spoke, "...wait, you're saying that those contracted magus will also be replaced if something happens to them?"

"Hm, of course. If there's anything which hinder their participation on the Holy Grail War, there's a high chance the Association will replace them. We won't take risk, this battle is one where the Association must win."

"....." seeing that her guess was proven true, Rin went into another silence, pondering quietly.

'Looks like the Association doesn't know what happened to Rukino. It's probably Luvia who's suppressing the news. Then, if...'

As her thought reached that point, an idea suddenly appeared inside her mind. Her heart seemed to beat faster. That thought kept clinging to her mind as if devil's whispers.

"Lord El-Melloi II, if there is a chance that a contracted magus unable to properly participate in the War, can I..." Rin spoke softly, her voice was like a light breeze, as though she was speaking to herself rather than to him.

"Hmm?"

*sigh* ".....nevermind. Can I get some time to think this over?" Rin said with a sigh as she looked down on her hand, at her Command Spells.

'What did I just thought of? Replacing Rukino? Impossible. Even if she really ended up getting replaced, there's a high chance the Association would still replace me. Besides,...'

"Think it over for a day, Rin Tohsaka. I'll be waiting your answer tomorrow. As a professor of Clock Tower, I'll recommend that you agree for this deal. The influence those old fogies hold is unable to be underestimated.

However, personally,... I'll say that you should keep participating in the Great Holy Grail War. Perhaps, you can find something more meaningful through it."

...

Outside the Clock Tower, at nearby teahouse. The place exuded a calming feel despite the bustling street outside the door. Once a customer entered the teahouse, noises from outside were replaced by tranquil air from the store. It's as if they're placed in different layer of space. Quite an interesting feature from the teahouse.

There's currently not many customer inside the teahouse beside an old couple on a corner and a pair of youth seated near the window.

"...so that's what happened." Rin ended her recounting with a sigh as she then sipped her tea. Either due to the nature of teahouse or because she felt her burden lightened after talking it to him, Rin was a lot calmer now.

'Ah, that's why I could suddenly meet that fake priest on the street; he just finished attending that meeting.'

"Hm, then what do you really want to do, Tohsaka?"

As Rafi asked that question, Rin Tohsaka closed her eyes as she breathed deeply. Shortly after, she opened her eyes, looking straight into his eyes, as she replied with determination.

"I am still going to join the Great Holy Grail War. Even if those old fogies want to make my life difficult later on, I'll prove it that their judgement is wrong. I am going to win the War! ...it's also to prove myself to my father..."

"...you know, after we won against Yggdmillenia family, we would probably be enemies next, Tohsaka."

"Yeah. So what? Even then, I'll still win." Rin said confidently.

"Nah, that's good. That's Rin Tohsaka that I know. Hahaha!"

"....."

"If you're fine with it, I can help you to get your catalyst. Let's summon your Servant tonight, Tohsaka. That way you'll have another protection if the Association decided to be forceful."

"Why do you want to help me...? Like what you said, we will likely be enemies later on..."

"I just feel like it. We can think those difficult things later. For now, I just want to help you. Besides, it's better if my ally is a beautiful girl rather than some middle-aged man that I don't know." Rafi said lightly as he joked a little on it.

"So you're trying to pick up another girl when your partner's away? I'll tell Rukino that after she woke up..." Rin slightly regretted immediately after saying it. The air between them started turning awkward.

"...well, how about we try to summon your Servant tonight?" Rafi decided to break their awkward silence as he returned the topic.

When she looked that he didn't seem joking when he said it, she agreed with him, "...fine."

'What did you mean by saying this is the true me...? We've met only recently... You haven't shown any ill-intent on me after all these time, instead it's you who often lower your guard around me and Luvia.

We're fellow magus... don't you know it's dangerous to lower our guard around other magus? We could turn on you anytime you know. Even now, you're still not keeping up a guard. How careless... just, who are you? Where did you from? Why do you trust us that much?? Did we already meet before?...why do you seem to care about me that much?'

Many questions swirled inside her mind as she slightly glanced at Rafi with mixed feelings. She let out another sigh inside her mind as she still couldn't figure him out.

From her perspective, he was like a contradictory entity. He had top-tier magecraft abilities, but he didn't have the trait or core values of top-tier magus. For her who was hailed from a magus family, she could distinguish it clearly as she trained in them since she was young. Rather than a magus, instead he looked like a normal person who suddenly got magus abilities.

'Yeah, he's like...'

"Hmm, speaking of which, do you know where's the Botany Department of Clock Tower, Tohsaka??"

"It's located not far from Clock Tower, though it's still on different complex. We just passed it before coming here. What? Do you have a business there?"

"Yeah. I need to meet someone there."

After they paid their bill in the teahouse, Rafi decided to send Rin back to the mansion first before going to Botany Department. As they walked together on the street, they were accompanied by another silence as they looked to be deep in their own thought.

After knowing the problem from Rin, he already decided which object was suitable to be her catalyst. Although he ended up using it and that piece of stone to summon 'Caster' and Gawain, but he had a hunch that Rin should be able to use that object as a catalyst too. Just like the piece of stone from Arthurian legend's Round Table, the Servant summoned from a same catalyst might differ depending on the summoner (Master).

'Hmm, now that I think about it, I wonder how the heck I got to summon Gawain?? I don't think I have any similarities to him, to that sunny knight... Perhaps Lancelot would be more suited to me considering I have his NP?? But yeah, to hell with it! It's not like I know what the Grail was thinking when it let me to summon Gawain.'

When they arrived at a crossroad, Rin suddenly spoke, "...let me come with you, Rafi."

"Ehh?"

"I still don't want to go back to the mansion yet. Otherwise, Luvia will force me to her maid again..."

"Huft- huft-... but, still-... Hahaha! But still, you look cute in that maid uniform, Tohsaka." He tried to hold back his laugh as he was reminded of the time Rin wearing maid uniform. However he still ended up laughing hard as that image was too funny, too good to be true.

To think that the usually composed Rin to be looking that good wearing a maid uniform... he just couldn't hold back his laughter after remembering it.

Hearing him gloating over her suffering on Luvia's hand, several black lines seemed to appear on her face as she felt the urge to punch his smug face.

"Whatever. Anyway, I don't want go back right now. Either I'll be staying in random place; compromising my safety, or you'll let me go with you." Rin threatened coldly.

"Fine, fine. But I'll be calling Luvia first, lest she decided to sweep the entire city to look for her lost maid."

"...you're really... don't say that word again in front of me!"

"Ouch." He winced slightly as he felt a sharp pain on his feet. '...it's good that Rin doesn't wear those high-heel shoes, otherwise...' It really wasn't good to keep provoking her like that -- he silently noted in his mind.

...

Inside a plane heading to Romania. A white-haired priest seemed to be looking calmly at those clouds outside the window. It was unknown what he thought as he kept his smile all of the time.

'Master, is it fine to easily let her away like that? She's in her most vulnerable state right now. We don't even need to do anything much to get Caster's contract from her." A dissatisfied voice sounded inside the priest's mind.

'It's not that simple, Semiramis... I don't know what kind of Servant she managed to summon, but I doubt it's really a Servant.'

'...hm?'

'I may not have received any revelations anymore, but I still get a hunch sometimes. It's not us who is supposed to deal with her, Semiramis. Besides, as long as they intend to win the Grail, they are still our 'allies'.'

'.....'

...

Within a library at Botany Department. Inside that library, there were no other person beside a young woman who was still reading a book, accompanied by the serene silence.

With only a first glance at her, people would agree to say she was a beautiful young woman with a touch of oriental beauty. At the moment, she was wearing a light blue sweater with reddish black stripes on it, her long black hair hair were tied into a twin tail, a pair of glasses on her added another touch to her image as a quiet beautiful librarian girl.

When she finished reading her current book, she lightly turned around as she sensed someone neared her. Her sense was accurate as there was a young man approaching her.

"Are you Hinako Akuta?" The young man asked politely. Apparently, it looked like he already knew who she was before he even asked her. He just did it as a greeting, which she found quite tasteless.

"...who are you?" She asked indifferently. She knew he had no need for an answer to his previous question. Instead it's her who wanted to know his identity as she could feel he had a similarity to her. Considering who she was..., a little curiosity of his identity emerged in her mind.

"Ah, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Rafi, disciple at Astronomy Faculty. If possible, there's something I need to ask you, Ms. Hinako Akuta."

"Astronomy Faculty... not interested. Now, please don't disturb me here." She went away to another shelf of books beside her table as she proceeded to choose the next book to read.

"Wait, this is really important. Please, I just want to know how I can help my partner -..."

"For creatures like us, is there anything really important in this world?" She suddenly interrupted his words as she kept choosing books from the shelf.

"...I guess I really can't hide it from you, Ms. Hinako Akuta. However, this matter is very important for me."

"Oh." She didn't seem to care, though she also didn't immediately reject him like before.

Seeing her like that, Rafi gritted his teeth as he braved himself to just ask her directly. Because it seemed she already knew he wasn't fully a human.

"...is there a way to cure a soul injury?"

A silence ensued between them. She didn't reply to him, and she also stopped choosing the books. She turned to face him as she finally spoke after a period of silence, "...you can't cure an injury on the soul. Death will probably be a better release for your partner."

Her words was like a sledgehammer which suddenly hit him hard. Although he already prepared to hear answer like that, but hearing it from someone he held a hope for was like the final straw.

"Is there really no other way?! You're lying! You just didn't want to tell me the cure!!" His voice was louder than before, as though he tried to hide his clearly shaking voice.

"Master?!" Saber immediately materialized beside Rafi, full-on armor, as he tried to calm him down.

However, a furious pressure erupted from Rafi as his mana went berserk. That pressure was filled with strong malices, curses and all those things inherently considered as evil; something Gawain couldn't comprehend as they erupted from his Master who seemed easygoing all along. Strangely, amidst those dark malices, there was a sliver of warm and sacred aura which surprisingly could counterbalance those evilness.

At that moment, Rafi completely forgot everything else. He forgot the fact he was a Participant, the fact he was a Master, the fact that his Servant was trying to help him calm down, and the fact that he promised to help Rin... currently, he only thought of her tranquil expression as if she was only having a calm sleep, waiting calmly for him.

"Humans are just too weak... you can slowly forget her, young man. Perhaps, you'll be able to find someone else later in your long life." She said indifferently, unaffected by the pressure he emitted. Unnoticeable to others, a sad glimmer seemed to flash momentarily inside her eyes as she was reminded of something in the past.

"No. There must be another way. Yes, there must be something I overlooked. She shouldn't die in this timeline. Since 'she' exists, there's no way... wait, how did 'she' exist in the first place? What led to that result? Damn. Why didn't 'she' tell me?! Don't tell me... is this the trigger...?" He was furiously thinking on it. At first, he was still anxious, panicked, and angry to himself. However there was something which suddenly forced down those negative feelings of his. Along with their disappearance, he could feel a cooling sensation in his mind, helping him to calm himself.

"...have you calmed down?" She still had that indifferent tone as if nothing in the world were able to move her feeling. She replied to him only because a little sense of curiosity she had to someone slightly similar to her.

"Yeah. Forgive me for my previous outburst, Ms. Hinako Akuta. Previously you said that if it's a human, there is no choice beside death. However, how if she's not a human? How if she's like me?"

".....perhaps, there is a way."
