Several days have passed since then.

After that encounter, I happily followed Logan, but I couldn’t just feel at ease right away, because it’s a fact that Daisy’s family could not ignore.

Daisy underestimated me partly because the old me would do anything she said, but also partly because her family stood behind her.

The Moore family was one of the most powerful families with a dominant position in commerce. I couldn’t help but regret that my family had nothing to stand for but lineage.

Nonetheless, I was different from the past. There must have been many aristocrats who saw what I did on the day of the ball at Count Parker’s residence, and now it was known that I was friends with Logan, so I was receiving numerous invitations.

And as for Daisy, it sparked controversy over her personality. The road for her to become a Duchess was blocked.

But I couldn’t be satisfied with just this.

She had helped ruin my husband’s business in my previous life, so it was only natural that I still had a grudge against her.

As long as the Moore family survived, Daisy would continue to carry her shameless face around.

But how can I screw Daisy’s family over? They’re already so prosperous…

Seeing me lost in thought, Nancy spoke.

“My lady, what are you thinking?”

“Huh? Nothing.”

I had promised to buy Nancy something tasty, and was now out on the street with her and Sir Bolt.

“I can’t wait for the steak! How delicious will it be?”

Nancy seemed to have been looking forward to this day. I answered as to meet her expectations.

“You can surely look forward to it. It’s a delicious place.”

Nancy’s expectations were high, but when we arrived, the restaurant was already packed.

“Oh, I guess I should have made a reservation.”

It was a difficult situation. Well, since it was lunchtime, it was only natural that it would be crowded. I should have made a reservation like Logan did. Whenever he had an appointment with me, he would rent the entire place.

“No, my lady. I’m fine.”

But contrary to what she said, her expression said otherwise, it did not seem fine at all, but vividly disappointed.

It made me feel even worse…Before long, I soothed Nancy.

“Let’s go to a better place.”

There were many restaurants that Logan and I had gone to. Among the places I went with him, I remembered a place that made excellent steaks.

“It’s not far from here, so we should be able to eat soon.”

We moved places again.

The restaurant was located on the third floor. Perhaps sir Bolt was worried that I would move in vain again this time, he went on first.

“Please wait here, I will see if they still have seats available.”

As Nancy and I stood in front of the building waiting for sir Bolt to come down, Nancy suddenly shouted, grabbing my arm.

“My lady, look over there!”

What did she see to make her react like this?

Turning my head in the direction Nancy was pointing, I saw a total of four people in robes standing in a group.

“Are they wizards?”

It was hard to see the faces of the wizards who resided in the Mage Tower, but they were noticeable wherever they went. Unlike everyone wearing colourful clothes, they wore black robes.

Maybe it’s because they covered their faces with hoods thoroughly pulled over, it felt a bit gloomy.

“Yes, I assume so.”

I once recommended Logan visit the Mage Tower, but now, for some reason, neither of us talked much about magic. Not just the talk, it’s been a long time since we last went to the library too.

Anyway, seeing the wizards in person was quite fascinating.

“Did they go out in a group? To have wizards in a place like this…!”

Before my words could end, my shoulder got hit by someone passing by. It was also a burly man.

As I was helplessly pushed away, Nancy caught me quickly.

“Miss!”

If it hadn’t been for Nancy, my bottom would have hit the floor. However, the response of the man who passed by was extremely rude. He continued on his own path without caring whether I fell or not.

How could he push someone and doesn’t even bother to say sorry?

My mood plummeted pretty quickly. Judging by the clothes he was wearing, he seemed to be a nobleman, but how could he not have such basic manners?

If it had been me before the regression, I would have been embarrassed and let it slide without much thought. I kept silent because I was too weak to defend myself.

But hadn’t I decided to change?I should be able to protest against things that were unpleasant to me, not just to Daisy.

I had to make things clear. Thinking that sir Bolt would come down soon anyway, I immediately called out to the man.

“Hold on a second.”

Did he not know I was calling him? The man in the navy blue coat went on his way without slowing down. For that, I called out once more.

“You there, the gentleman in the navy blue coat.”

The man finally stopped. Apparently realising that he was being called, he turned his head to look at me.

The moment I got a proper look at his face, my eyes rounded. It was a face I knew.

“What is it?”

The man said in a crooked tone. I didn’t like it, but I replied calmly.

“You bumped into me and passed by.”

“So?”

“…”

Does he always speak this curtly? How come such a person exists?

I was speechless and just stared at him, dumbstruck. Was he originally this rude? Still, I responded as calmly as possible.

“I almost fell, but you didn’t say anything. Wouldn’t it be natural for a dignified gentleman to apologise?”

“Did I push you? Then I apologise.”

His apology was insincere. An apology like this was unacceptable to me. Even Daisy’s apology was better than this. Puzzled, I looked at him and said.

“I never thought Marquis Spencer would be like this.”

At my words, his eyes widened. He must not have been aware that I knew his face. I didn’t expect to meet him in a place like this either. He then asked with a dissatisfied look.

“Do you know me?”

Of course. I first saw him at a banquet I once attended with George. He was also not a noble that one could meet often, but I remembered him. Because he was too haughty and reckless.

Eric H. Spencer, titled Marquis, was a black sheep in the social world.

What was my first meeting with him like?

“Marquis Spencer, I haven’t seen you in a long time.”

Someone had said this to him at a meeting. What Spencer replied then…

“People wouldn’t invite me, so how am I able to go? If you hadn’t invited me today, I would have been drinking alone again.”

After those words, silence invaded the place. As he spoke sarcastically, he scanned the table.

He tended to speak without caring about the feelings of others.

The reason I myself didn’t get invited often before my return was that I didn’t have a lot of personal connections due to my shy personality. Spencer, on the other hand, was due to his rudeness.

What he said that day poured cold water on the atmosphere. What’s more, he was always spitting dirty talk in the presence of the ladies!

I stared blankly at Spencer, who asked if I knew him. After briefly considering, it didn’t seem necessary for me to pretend I didn’t know him.

“Yes, nobles are always acquainted to some certain extent.”

“I don’t know you.”

As soon as the glint in his olive-green eyes appeared to be wary of me, I greeted him with a formal smile.

“I am Sienna Nelson. I am also from a Marquis family, and you should at least know my face.”

Our family wasn’t great, but we were in a position to not easily bow down to just anyone. On the other hand, the position of Marquis Spencer in the aristocratic society was not good.

At my words, Spencer’s eyes widened.

“Nelson? You’re from the Marquis of Nelson?”

He is more surprised than I thought? It seemed he wasn’t simply surprised because the person he bumped into was the young lady of a marquis.

This was similar to the reaction of nobles who saw Logan and thought, ‘That is Harrison?!’

Why?

“My lady, there’s no one upstairs. We can go up right now.”

Then, sir Bolt, who had gone to check for a seat, came down. Informed by sir Bolt, I nodded, then said to Marquis Spencer.

“I’d like to talk more after greeting you, but the situation is not looking very favourable. I hope to see you next time in a more pleasant atmosphere.”

After saying that, I climbed the stairs. Though I wondered if we could really meet next time.

“Why was he so surprised?”

Climbing up the stairs, Nancy tilted her head. Looked like it seemed odd to Nancy as well.

It felt weird indeed. He definitely was not someone I wished to see again. Shaking off my thoughts about him, I entered the restaurant.

The steaks I ate with Nancy tasted great, enough to melt away all the unpleasant feelings.
