It was night time and the bright crescent gave off clear and pure moonlight. The moonlight's tender hands, lightly stroked over the Xu family manor. Along the way as the marble floor reflected the moonlight like jade. The night breeze blew slowly as it spread all over,

Meanwhile through a window in the southern part of the Manor we could see our young master Xu Yun as he went about his business, not minding the rest of the world.

Under the moonlight his hair glowed Bright as he kept smiling like a Cheshire cat , He was done spending his lottery tickets and had calmed down from his initial joy of being able to get the recommendation token. Now he was staring at the cards he had won, this was one of the things he doesn't remember programming.

[System what are these??] After looking at them he couldn't help but ask, one card had a Shadow with unknown features with golden edges but had a huge Question Mark at the center while the other had multiple smaller shadows. there were No indications nor description, Not even the method of use.

{Analyzing...} after a few seconds, The System gave him an answer that shocked him.

{they appear to be Summoning tools, it Activates by just dropping a drop of blood on it.} with wide eyes, He inquired further but only got a 'its a surprise response from the System' this made him frown, the system is sounding less like a machine and more like an aunt that loves to tease him.

After some thought he simply associated it to the recent upgrade while he proceeded to place a drop of his blood on the card with multiple shadows in order to see its effect.

The moment the Blood touched the card, it left his hands and began to float in front of him as dense Violet Chi wrapped around it making him feel Dizzy as he felt all his energy leave him. Quickly looking at his Mp bar, He was Shocked as this completely took all of his Mp leaving about 320 or So left of his Mana pool. Popping a Mana replenishing pill into his mouth to restore his Mana as the dizziness slowly disappeared without trace.

Ten Minutes later He became confused, he was still staring at the floating cards as it Just remained there in the air with the Chi surrounding it.

So he decided to ask the System [System, How long is this supposed to take??].

{Time left : 1 hour 39 minutes} The system replied immediately.

[Can you make You make it, Invisible to others?.]Just as his voice came out The Cards disappeared like a lie, while a purple coloured icon that looked like a box appeared Just beside his HP bar along with the timer below it.

Satisfied, He looked towards the Night Sky with a smile on His face as he pulled out the black wood order in order to start Cultivating his inner. immediately, it vibrated as a large amount of Chi began to gather around Xu Yun.

In the room, the candles had long since gone off, But a bright Shining violet light remained in a corner of the room while the far corners of the walls were dark. The Violet light radiated on Xu Yun's face as he was already immersed himself in cultivating the Star Vortex as he closed his eyes, gathering all his focus onto controlling the violet Chi, guiding it according to the method stated on the manual.

A Huge stream of the Violet coloured Aura that resembled raging Violet Flames suddenly emitted out from Xu Yun's whole body, Before a series of cracking sounds came from within his body as the gathered Chi from the surrounding banded together as they rushing into the Black wood order and firmly Slammed into Xu Yun's body.

Time slipped away quietly.

As the Violet flames became smaller and the light grew dimmer. The crescent outside the window had also slowly gone down as a new day Slowly arrived.

The morning light squeezed through the window and shone into the room.

Xu Yun opened his eyes and looked at the Black wood order in his hands. This was the first time he tried cultivation with the methods of this world and honestly he couldn't say he liked it but it beats sleeping and wasting precious time.

This was the result of his effort after half a night. However it wasn't so bad, he got 500k+ exp without doing a thing and he was pretty much well rested.

When Xu Yun's eyes came to focus, his face suddenly turned grave. Five people were in his room, 3 men and 2 women. All bowing and staring at him in awe and utmost respect.

One of the men had a burly build, looked to be in his late 20's with a sun tanned skin, Short White hair and a ferocious air around him as a huge Saber laid on his back in its sheathe. wearing an all black apparel.

The second man could be called a teenager of about 17/18 years, He Had a slightly longer white hair and a skinny build with eagle like eyes as well as a sharp Nose, looking quite handsome. A sharp contrast with his looks was his weapon, he had a Giant blade that had the height of a man and a chain on its hilt laid horizontally behind him. He had bandages wrapped around his forearms and an armless Tang suit, adding a savage Look to his deposition.

Meanwhile, The Third Guy didn't have any special features as it seemed like he wasn't even there to begin with. The youth had an ordinary look except for his long white hair flowing down his back, a gentle smile playing on his lips with his eyes closed. he looked harmless with the white hand Fan in his hands and his black tang suit but Xu Yun felt like he was looking at a hidden dagger.

The Ladies looked like twins of the age fifteen, both had white long hair of the same length and blue eyes. but you could differentiate them with the braids on the left and right side of their hair respectively. they wore a tight body suit that hugged their Bodies, as their daggers hung on their waist.

Looking at them Together, they gave Xu Yun a weird vibe. Luckily he had broken through to the 2nd level of his tianzhu meridian if not he would lost his shit. Thinking That he should probably thank Bai he later when she awakens.

When he saw their names were all Blue which indicates Ally, He decided to ask the system if this was as result of the card.

{Yes, that card grants you shadows... Followers that live to serve you, the number you get is proportional to the number of shadows on the card. you get 50% experience of their kills, the other 50% will be used for their own cultivation.

Their initial cultivation realm are random, their cultivation speed are dependent on their activities} As the System explained, he wanted to complain at first but he suddenly remembered what Jin Fen had said to Wu Xun back then [you're powerful but you are but one man]. That sentence had been on his Mind besides there wasn't really any reason to complain after all this would help in making him level faster. Overall, Xu Yun was satisfied with this 'shadows'. He turned to them as they still kneeling and waiting for him to talk to them.

After a short while He decided it'd be best to give them names, So it'd be easier to interact

with each other.

[You may Rise... I...How are you all feeling kuhum!!kuhum!] Xu Yun Said as he tried mimicking feudal Lords from the Drama's he watched back on earth but got embarrassed due to their fanatical gaze mid sentence, So he chose to cover his embarrassment with a few light coughs.

The First to speak was the ordinary looking Shadow as he seemed to be Acknowledged as the leader immediately, Considering their was no dissatisfaction on the faces of the rest as they stood up together.

[Thank you My Lord, we are touched by your benevolence and concern for our well being]

[I see...] Xu Yun replied rather absent mindedly as he was rather surprised by the youth's eloquence.

Once more, there was an awkward silence before Xu Yun broke it

[So what do you all wish to be called?, feel free to speak your mind]

The Shadows looked at each other but it seemed no one had any Idea what names to pick. Until the ordinary looking Shadow spoke again

[My Lord, we think it'd be more fitting for you to name us personally.] Xu Yun's mouth began to twitch, 'ah what a drag, names, names .' then a bulb lit up in his head as he Thought

'I'll just name them after the Chinese numbers'

With this Idea in mind he turned to them, before speaking to the system again

He gave the ordinary looking Shadow the Name : Xu yi

(Author's note: I swear, its a coincidence our names have different meanings his yi means the number 'one' while mine means 'Undisturbed' or 'unperturbed' can't even remember which one).

While he gave the Burly shadow : Xu er

the Teen berserker : Xu San

The Elder Twin with the left sided braid : Xu Si

while the youngest Twin with the right sided braid : Xu Wu.

When he was done He decided to save his new setting. As he was still on that page he Found out he could actually give them skills to learn, Even Cultivation Manuals. now he was curious about what other things the faction space had to offer.

The moment He tapped save, all Shadows closed their eyes as though they had just remembered a pleasant memory. So he waited till they were done, where upon they all bowed once more as they began to express their gratitude till young master Yun turned red on the ears.

After they settled down, He was about to speak when he noticed two dots appear to be heading towards his courtyard and guessed it would be Aunt Yao with Little Lin, So he immediately gave out orders as fast he could.

[Okay! Er!,San,Si, Wu Head East to level up...Yi hang around in stealth]

[[[[We Obey!!]]]] they responded to their orders before they all moved out, this made Xu Yun feel so many things at once but most of all overwhelmed because this was the first time in both lifetimes he had subordinates.

a few seconds after the Shadows left, his door was swung open as something or someone knocked him onto his bed and gave him a hug.

Looking carefully, he found out it was Little Lin Crying and dampening his clothes which made him smile wryly as he turned to the figure at the door who also had a slightly red puffy eye due to crying previously.

Noticing all this he felt warmth in his heart as he tried to console them, telling them that he was fine. then he made up a story about his adventure, telling them that he had a fortuitous encounter with a mysterious man who gave him a pill for helping him gather herbs for his wounds. that after after taking the pill it changed his physique, now he can cultivate well and he was now expert of self (upper tier). This made both Aunt Yao and little Lin happy but according to their story, Xu Yun missed the scholars sect exams which he expressed that it was fine.

Apparently, little Lin passed and was even picked up as a direct disciple. its was then that Xu Yun focused on little Lin, only to find out she was very close to the Spiritually balanced realm. This greatly surprised him, after all she doesn't get all the same resources as the family children but she somehow left majority of them in the dust.

She was to leave in a week with her new Master, which made her eyes grow red again but she held it in and said

[Hmph, big brother Yun now that your strong... they wouldn't dare say anything stupid anymore.] clearly trying to change the subject.

Xu Yun simply looked at this 11 years old Amused, Meanwhile Aunt Yao left to make dinner as Xu Yun continued to chat with Little Lin when Someone came knock before saying
