nicholas reeled our boat slowly so the hydra won't notice our descend.

as the moment our boat touch the ocean, the plan sunk in to me, not the whole plan but the what ifs of our plan, what if this is the failure that the prophecy is telling us, what if I got us all killed, what if my plan s.u.c.k.e.d.

Micheal pat my shoulders silently "Stop overthinking Celine, everything will be ok trust me, its Nicholas, that man is as dangerous as that thing, having him actually made me calmer." Mike smiled while whispering those words of assurance.

"I know genius?!" I smiled at him, and honestly I think that's so sweet of him, I used to be so independent, I never rely on someone right after Nicholas forced to left me on the streets of Manhattan, I fend for myself, I feed myself though I occasionally got some financial help from Nicholas but to be honest, I dont like asking Nicholas for help cause he already done so much for me.

I gambled my life to the dangerous streets of Manhattan, I didn't just win the gamble, I learned a lot from being alone, it made me stronger and wiser.

"Mike" I said "Yes?!" He instantly replied.

"Thanks" And I kissed his cheeks, he looked surprise and I'm also surprised on what I did.

"Uhmm, what's that for?" Mike said.

I punched his shoulder "That's just me thanking you for reassuring me, I used to be alone, I never thought that someone will tell me those words again" I said while a tear left my eye unconsciously, I really appreciate Micheal's Gesture.

"Hey, no need to worry, we are here to protect you, though I know you don't need it but still we are here for you now, we won't leave your side" Mike holds my hand while saying the words that I needed, a 17 year old boy suddenly turns into a man by just 3 days, and here I'm a 19 year old woman, about to weep because of the feeling of overwhelmed of the things that happening and the possibilities.

I hugged him, but force myself to hold the tears back, we don't need anymore drama right now, Im just so thankful that this boy is here with me, now I realized why Aphrodite liked him.

"Woah, Its ok Celine" Mike said while patting my back.

"Thank you Mike, I think we need to row our boat as near as possible" I said while wiping my face.

we rowed our boat slowly, the hydra seems to notice the sound of the ripples but it's getting a hard time to pinpoint our location specially right now its getting late the area is getting darker and darker, its already poor vision is getting hazier by the dark, which we prefer.

I was looking at Mike's back, thinking, this boy is growing not physically but mentality, he still that young kid, whose foolish and playful, but he is definitely getting wiser, maybe that is why Nicholas Adopted him.

"Celine..How near you want us to get?" Mike whispered.

I signed at him to go further and he just nods, I told Nicholas that if we are close enough but far enough to the Hydras touch I'll light the flare gun that I saw on the emergency supplies, that's Nicholas' signal that he needs to drop some Greek fire on our make shift Ignition and he must hurry and rush the ship onto the hydra.

"I CAN SMELL YOU DEMIGODS, COURAGEOUS DEMIGODS, FEAR DEATH, FEAR THE GUARDIAN OF THE BERMUDA!! HAHA!!" the hydra announced.

"that is so creepy" I said and Mike silently chuckled.

"To be honest, I'm getting a hang of its threats" Mike whispered.

"Really?! your getting braver by the minute huh?!" I Whispered.

I prepare the flare gun, our 400 feet distance went to 300 feet away, getting closer to the monster we can now finalize how big is this behemoth, a 100 footer Hydra with White smokey eyes and Greenish with a mix of Brownish hue to its skin and scales, the fumes that it's releasing, the stench of death, claws as big as bicycle and fangs as long as spears.

"It doesn't really looked good at close up" Mike's choose to kid around which I don't mind, I need to calm my nerves down and hope our plan works.

"100 feet away to the right where the clear path is located, we will commence the plan" I whispered and he nods.

"You know I dont know if we are 100 feet away right?" Mike said and I chuckled silently "Of course I know genius, spending almost 3 days with you, I know your capabilities" he glared at me "but im getting to like you better now" the glare turns into a smile right away.

"Really?! wow I wish I can record this moment, but that photo bomber right there will just destroy this moment right away" Mike's joke is getting thru me but I held my laugh cause we dont need to cause any commotions, instead I smiled at him and signed that we should go forward and he nods and smile.

180 feet away and seems the Hydra's extreme sense of smell is working, but at this distance we are still safe I think its max head extension is about 65 to 70 feet, knowing the Hydra's physiology, not because its a hundred footer it can reach us on a 100 feet away distance and judging by its mobility and flexibility, even at the 60 feet mark we are still safe, we just need a very loud and flashy decoy, and thats up to Nicholas right there.

at the ship, I saw Nicholas' silhouette on the deck where the control room is located, I heard the engine starts, which alerted the Hydra but it seems the hydra knows its limit , it stands up and followed the sound of the ship's engine.

"COME CLOSER DEMIGODS!! SO I CAN MUNCH YOU ALL!! HAHAHA" the Hydra said.

"Mike I think we can go a little faster now its so pre occupied at the sound of the ship" I said.

"Good point" Mike replied and then rowed silently but faster.

the Hydra seems to forgotten about our scent, specially when Nicholas fired the horns once.

"NOW IM SURE THERE ARE DEMIGODS TO EAT!!" The Hydra said, all five heads are directed to the direction of the ship, the poison drools out of the middle head, the stench went to stinky to extremely severe stench.

the hydra moved forward to where the ship is, but it didn't tried to dip even a toe on the water.

by now it was safe to say that we can come closer, I tapped Mike's shoulder and signed him to go forward, he just nods and silently paddled fast this time.

180 feet away turned 120 feet away in no time, the hydra being so preoccupied with the ship that continues to roar its engine, we have to be opportunistic right this moment.

Mike continues to row faster 120 feet is now 80 or so feet and I tapped him and sign to stop and he nods.

I grabbed the emergency box where medicines and a flare gun with ammos to replenish each shot up to 3 shots, I loaded the flare gun with a bullet, I looked back at Nicholas who is by the way standing in the bow, far end of the bow and I can see a green light has been lit up to a make shift torch, I saw my signal and even from afar I saw Nicholas nodding to engage the plan, for Nicholas's confirmation I fired the flare gun which made 1 of the 5 heads turns to where the sound is coming from but it was caught by surprise of the brigt light that shines on the night sky.

I saw nicholas threw the torch to where a path of kerosene is, and its been consumed by the Greek fire fast.

Nicholas rushed to the sh.i.p.s control center which is by the way not that far so he got plenty of time.

any moment I'm ready to screamed at Mike "Now!!" so Mike can start our engine in the right moment and the right time, the Lifesaver is already tied and left floating not far from our boat for Nicholas to grab on when he slam the ship on the hydra.

the sh.i.p.s hem is on green and blue fire, smoke is blocking the already dark sky.

Nicholas fired the Horns continuously and the Hydra's attention is all diverted to the sh.i.p.s smell and sound that made it totally ignored the sound of our boat, i felt kinda relief cause one of the plans I thought of is working.

"I GOT YOU NOW DEMIGODS!!! THERE IS NO ESCAPING THIS MAW!! THE MAW OF DEATH" the Hydra speaks its threats.

now the ship is travelling to its maximum speed, he covered the 300 feet distance in mere seconds, the plan is working and when nicholas hits the 120 feet mark on which it was near to our boat he has to jump and grab the Lifesaver, and mike here will pump the engine in my comman and we will rush to that crevice between the Hydra's legs and the poison fog.

Nicholas reached the mark, I screamed "Jump!!!" so loud that the hydra seems to caught my sound and for confirmation I saw one of the heads eye looked at me.

I saw nicholas jump, and I felt relieved, he swims towards our boat and he caught the life saver in no time.

when I saw Nicholas is already clinging I shouted at Mike "Mike pump it! NOW!!!".
