All the quality checking and detailing of God Wang Tower were completed!

Wang Ke hummed a tune as he returned to the Sword-study Peak. Just as he had mentioned, God Wang Tower was just a front. Although it looked grand and luxurious, not even he would dare move in.

Sword-study Peak was a much safer place; not only did he have a mansion there, he also had his apprentice-brothers to protect him, along with the sect’s protective barrier. Such an arrangement was beyond compare; conversely, the tower was a money-making tool, unfit for living—

And he was going to start earning money a month from then; he needed to make some preparations…

But when Wang Ke reached the peak’s square, he saw three people waiting for him.

“Revered Teacher, what brings you here?” Wang Ke rushed over, surprised.

The three were Chen Tianyuan, Murong Luguang, and an old man with a corpse-like face.

“This is the West Wolf Hall Lord, Mo Sanshan!” Chen Tianyuan signaled at Wang Ke.

“Oh, greetings, I was wondering who you were. Greetings, West Wolf Hall Lord; I’m sorry for not being here to welcome you!” Wang Ke bowed with a smile.

The corpse-like elder gazed at Wang Ke for a while before he revealed a sinister smile, one that was even more unsightly than a bawling face. He said, “The Sect Lord’s second disciple is really unique. It’s only been two days since my return, and all I’ve heard were things about you! Quite the accomplishments for someone as young as you!”

Wang Ke smiled back and said, “I thank you for the praise! It’s all thanks to everyone’s support. Hall Lord Mo is too courteous!”

“Behave yourself, Wang Ke! Don’t be so cheeky!” Chen Tianyuan stared and reprimanded him.

Can’t you see that Mo Sanshan’s compliments are just formalities? What are you so happy about?

“Yes, understood!” Wang Ke quickly responded.

He had to listen to his revered teacher.

“Eldest apprentice-brother? How did you find the time to visit our Sword-study Peak?” Wang Ke looked toward Murong Luguang curiously—

But before Murong Luguang could speak, Chen Tianyuan explained on his behalf, “We’re here today because we need to speak to you!”

“Oh?” Wang Ke’s face turned serious.

His revered teacher would usually summon him to the spiritual mountain for instruction on small matters. But this day… he actually went to see him? Seems like trouble!

Wang Ke asked, “Revered Teacher? What instructions do you have for me? I will do it.”

“It’s not related to me,” Chen Tianyuan explained, “It’s Mo Sanshan and Murong Luguang who have a request for you. I’m just here as a witness!”

Wang Ke immediately understood what his teacher meant. Mo Sanshan and Murong Luguang could be looking for trouble. My Revered Teacher is worried that I might be taken advantage of, so he’s here to back me up?

He immediately tensed up as he looked at the other two.

“Hall Lord Mo and Eldest apprentice-brother. The three of us are all Hall Lords, serving the Heavenly Wolf Sect together. Whatever request you have, just say it! I’m the East Wolf Deputy Hall Lord after all!” Wang Ke said with a smile.

Since you’re here for trouble, I shall not hold back, either. Let’s remind them of my identity.You are Hall Lords, and so am I. Let’s argue it out!

“We are here for Tong An'an’s case!” Murong Luguang said solemnly.

“Tong An'an? Ohh, the one who escaped with the West Wolf Hall disciples’ help and the eldest apprentice-brother carelessness eight months ago?” Wang Ke asked.

Murong Luguang’s face blackened. Damn it, do you have to word it in such a way?I haven’t even said what this is about. You’re already trying to push the responsibility to Hall Lord Mo and me?

“Murong Luguang, continue!” Mo Sanshan seemed unruffled by Wang Ke’s remark.

“Okay. After Tong An'an escaped, the West Wolf Hall and I have been working alongside our spies. Although we have yet to capture him, we have indeed collected some intel!” Murong Luguang continued explaining.

“Oh?”

“Tong An'an seemed to be under pursuit by his own higher-ups from the demonic sect. So, both the righteous sect and the demonic sect are after him!” Murong Luguang said seriously.

Wang Ke nodded. I know about this. I witnessed the Demon Sovereign giving orders to capture him. Tong An'an is in big trouble.

“But Tong An'an seems to have some backing in the demonic sect. That’s why he was still able to gather a bunch of subordinates, even while being under pursuit by the demonic sect. More and more demons are following Tong An'an’s lead in the past few months!” Murong Luguang explained further.

“Oh?” Wang Ke nodded.

He knew about this too. Tong An'an had the backing of a Parlor Lord who opposed the Demon Sovereign.

“Tong An'an is now gathering a bunch of men and is planning to kill you!” Murong Luguang continued.

“Kill me?” Wang Ke was stunned.

You were chasing after Tong An'an to kill him. How did things round back to me again?

“Right. We got this information after interrogating a demon we captured. Tong An'an failed his backer multiple times and was reprimanded, that is why he nurses a heavy grudge against you. He wants to use your head as a way to seek restitution!” Murong Luguang said.

“Use my head to ask for forgiveness? He must be nuts!” Wang Ke said with glaring eyes.

“Junior brother Wang Ke, you’re in an extremely dangerous situation. Do you understand?” Murong Luguang asked, looking fixedly at Wang Ke.

Wang Ke wanted to nod, but he came to a sudden realization. Something’s fishy! If this were that serious, it should have been my Revered Teacher telling this to me… Why is my Revered Teacher here to back me up instead?This won’t do; I can’t follow their lead blindly.

“Dangerous? Which righteous disciple is not in danger?” Wang Ke said as he shook his head, “But should they live in fear just because of a demonic sect’s threat? Then, wouldn’t all our righteous cultivators be paralyzed in fear? Eldest apprentice-brother and Hall Lord Mo, thank you for bringing me this piece of information! I understand my situation, but I’m not afraid. If he’s coming, then let him come; I’m not going to leave the Heavenly Wolf Sect anyway. I doubt they would dare invade our sect just to kill me!”

“Uhh?” Murong Luguang was stunned.

Shouldn’t you be quaking in your boots to ask us for a solution?How can we follow up with the things we want to say then?

“Wang Ke, you’re not afraid of Tong An'an?” Mo Sanshan asked with a deep voice.

“Hall Lord Mo, I think that everyone in the demonic sect wants you dead, but are you afraid? You’re not afraid even while facing the entire demonic sect; why should I be afraid of just a single Tong An'an? I’m the East Wolf Deputy Hall Lord, after all! Evil will never overcome Good!” Wang Ke’ shook his head with determination.

Mo Sanshan’s ghastly face twitched. What am I supposed to say next?

“Do you have something else for me to know?” Wang Ke looked at the two of them in curious anticipation.

The two looked at each other in dismay. You’re trying to send us off already?

“We want to invite you to help us capture Tong An'an, and at the same time fish out the remaining undercover agents from the demonic sect!” Mo Sanshan said after taking a deep breath.

“Me? This goes beyond the scope of my tasks as the East Wolf Deputy Hall Lord! Isn’t that the West Wolf Hall’s duty?” Wang Ke rejected the request.

“The demons are too good at hiding. That’s why I’m asking for your help! After all, we all belong to the Heavenly Wolf Sect!” Mo Sanshan said.

“What can I do?” Wang Ke asked with a frown.

“You can lure Tong An'an out, and draw out the remaining moles to get rid of them in one fell swoop!” Mo Sanshan explained.
