“Oh? So you’re saying that I would work as bait to lure all the people undercover?” Wang Ke asked while staring at them.

Mo Sanshan and Murong Luguang nodded.

Wang Ke rolled his eyes. You must be joking!Do you think I’m that free?I’m going to rake in an ocean of spirit stones soon! Do you know how much money I can earn each day?And yet you want me to play this baiting game with you?You must be kidding!Do you think I’m nuts?

“Sorry, not interested!” Wang Ke shook his head.

Mo Sanshan and Murong Luguang’s faces turned grim.

Wang Ke could see that his revered teacher went to back him up because the latter knew what they were planning. Fortunately, Wang Ke was also the East Wolf Deputy Hall Lord, or else he wouldn't be in a position to reject.

“Wang Ke, slaying demons is part of the East Wolf Hall’s duties. How can you reject it?” Murong Luguang asked with a stare.

“I know this is one of our duties, but my demon slaying methods are different from yours. Why should I cooperate with you? I have my own plans to slay demons! You do it your way, and I’ll do mine. Don’t try to guilt-trip me; I’m not your subordinate, don’t shout at me like that,” Wang Ke replied in disdain.

“What plan do you have to slay the demons?” Murong Luguang asked in disbelief.

You’re obsessed with building that tower. You call that a demon-slaying plan?

Wang Ke rolled his eyes as he replied, “That is top secret. How can I tell you just like that? My plan would be ruined if some demonic spy in the West Wolf Hall leaks the information.”

Mo Sanshan’s face was a little agitated. Are you insulting me as well?

“That’s enough. Wang Ke, this plan was devised by Mo Sanshan and Murong Luguang. They invited me here to help in asking whether you wanted to take part in the operation! If you’re unwilling, no one will force you!” Chen Tianyuan said.

Wang Ke bowed thankfully. “Thank you, Revered Teacher!”

Just as he had imagined, those people had to give way with his backer present.

“Wang Ke, what would it take for you to cooperate with us?” Murong Luguang asked carefully.

Wang Ke still shook his head and said, “I’m not interested!”

Mo Sanshan looked at Wang Ke with a frown before turning his eyes toward Chen Tianyuan.

“Sect Lord, I think I still need to trouble you regarding this matter!” Mo Sanshan bowed respectfully toward Chen Tianyuan.

Chen Tianyuan frowned a little before sighing.

Chen Tianyuan finally spoke on behalf of Mo Sanshan, “Wang Ke, it’s rare for Hall Lord Mo to ask me for help. Look, if it’s not a huge problem for you, you should give it a try. Of course, it is your choice in the end.”

Wang Ke changed his mind upon hearing that. Although my Revered Teacher is here to back me up, how could I snub his request?

“Since my Revered Teacher asked, I will consider it!” Wang Ke changed his tone immediately.

“First, I must know the entire process if you want to use me as bait to lure Tong An'an out! I think I have the right to know my situation, right?” Wang Ke insisted as he looked back at the two of them.

“Sure! And?” Mo Sanshan asked.

“Second, this is a big sacrifice on my part. So, during the opening ceremony of my God Wang Company, I hope the two of you can be there to help me boost my company’s credibility! And be part of the Ribbon-cutting Ceremony!” Wang Ke said.

“Uhh?” Mo Sanshan was at a loss.

Ribbon-cutting? Opening ceremony?

“Revered Teacher, this is my first time opening a company, and it will be a grand occasion. Find some time to help me out, please? You don’t need to do much; just stand there, show your face, and cut the ribbon! Are you okay with that? Please?” Wang Ke pleaded with Chen Tianyuan.

Chen Tianyuan was a little doubtful, but since he favored that disciple of his, he nodded in agreement. “Sure!”

Turning aside, Wang Ke looked toward Mo Sanshan and Murong Luguang and said, “Fellow Hall Lords, I only have those two requests. If you promise to fulfill them, I will cooperate with your plan! What do you say?”

But the latter was also a Hall Lord, one with Chen Tianyuan’s backing; their only way of getting Wang Ke’s help was to agree with the two conditions. “Okay!” the two agreed.

“So, what’s your plan?” Wang Ke looked at the two.

“We are still devising the plan; I will send word once it’s done!” Murong Luguang said.

Wang Ke sent someone to call Zhang Zhengdao back after sending his visitors off.

“Zhang Zhengdao, when you go visit the towns to dupe rich people, remember to mention that the Heavenly Wolf Sect Lord and the four Hall Lords will be present for the opening ceremony! Don’t forget that!” Wang Ke instructed.

“You know nothing. This is exactly what I want them to misunderstand!” Wang Ke shot him a stare and replied, “If not, why would the rich among them make the trip? Any ordinary merchant opening a business would at most incite those people to send a few underlings. But now that the lords of the Heavenly Wolf Sect are part of the opening ceremony, they will surely think this is something big. “Quick, go and spread the word as the Guest Elder of the Heavenly Wolf Sect. How much commission you get will depend on how thick your skin is!” Wang Ke urged.
