Zhang Li'er stood at the center of the hall with Zhang Zhengdao; she received an invitation from the latter before seeing him off.

Zhang Li'er held onto the invitation and read, “God Wang Company’s Opening Ceremony. Wang Ke? ”

“Zhang Zhengdao is really bold, to have dared come to our sect!” Zhang Shenxu said in surprise.

“Why would he be afraid to come? Didn’t you see how thick-skinned he was last time he came here to pass a message?” Zhang Li'er replied, shaking her head.

“Sister, are we really going to forget about how they offended me?” Zhang Shenxu said indignantly.

“What do you think?”

“Me?” Zhang Shenxu said, “It was thanks to Wang Ke that I was rescued, since he sent Zhang Zhengdao over to get help, but I was in such a mess precisely because of him! I wouldn’t have been captured if it weren’t for him! Besides, She Miejue tried to kill herself along with a whole host of demons; I would have been OK if he hadn’t interrupted her!” Zhang Shenxu complained with a frown.

“Still, he informed the Golden Crow Sect and also stopped the demons from consuming you. Or else you would have died in the Zhu Cultivation Town back then!” Zhang Li'er rebutted.

“What should we do then? My juniors and my possessions are still with Wang Ke; he took them all. Are we going to let such a greedy b*stard go just like that?” Zhang Shenxu was reluctant to give up.

“You and Wang Ke are both from the righteous faction. Everyone will be ashamed of you if you confront him again!” Zhang Li'er shook her head.

“Then, are we going to forget about it?” Zhang Shenxu asked, looking at his older sister.

“Forget your head! Don’t you know how to double-cross him? What have you learned all those years outside? Dad said that you are stiff-minded; he’s right about it! Debtors must pay; this is right and proper! The Zhang Clan only bullies others, never the other way around! What have you been doing all these years?” Zhang Li’er reprimanded him with a stare.

“Ah? But, I… Sister, you shouldn’t blame me for this! Wang Ke is just too shameless!” Zhang Shenxu said, feeling wronged.

“What’s the use of not being shameful?” Zhang Li’er asked.

“Uhh?” Zhang Shenxu looked back at his older sister, dumbfounded.

“What’s wrong with being shameless if there are benefits to be had? Can living without reasons for shame feed you? Please, my brother, forget about Wang Ke; you’re even worse than Zhang Zhengdao!” Zhang Li'er sighed.

“Sister, how can you say this?” Zhang Shenxu was at a loss.

“There are no outsiders here! I’m teaching you about being a human! Look at how Wang Ke is raking in all that dough!” Zhang Li’er said excitedly, “He managed to swindle both the demonic and the righteous sides back in the Zhu Cultivation Town. Also, I did a thorough investigation about the financial product Wang Ke was selling; such a genius idea! Damn, why didn’t I think about it? A few pieces of paper can funnel in that much money?”

“Sis, you are the eldest apprentice-sister of the Golden Crow Sect. Can you be more demure? Why do you look so excited whenever you talk about money?” Zhang Shenxu said, feeling lost.

“If I didn’t think about earning money, do you think I’d have enough to spend just from the sect’s salary and pocket money from dad? Do you know how much I spent buying those limited-edition storage bangles? How could I ever afford these things if I didn’t set my mind on earning more money? Look at other people’s younger brothers! I really can’t depend on you! Sigh!” Zhang Li'er sighed in disappointment.

“You must make Wang Ke cough up all those possessions he has scraped off! If you don’t want to, I will; and that will become my pocket money. This time he’s opening the so-called God Wang Company; I can smell the financial products he sold back in the Zhu Cultivation Town. I smell money!” Zhang Li'er said excitedly.

“Let’s make him give back what he took from you. And, he’s trying to make a big sum with his business, right? We can take some money from him!” Zhang Li'er replied with laughter.

Zhang Shenxu looked at his older sister in shock. You are such a beautiful lady… Why are you so greedy?

“Sis, Zhang Zhengdao said it just now; the Heavenly Wolf Sect Lord and the four Hall Lords will be there for the opening ceremony. This is very likely a sect initiative with Wang Ke as a front. The Heavenly Wolf Sect is surely the one behind the God Wang Company; how are we going to take money from him?” Zhang Shenxu was trying hard to understand.

Zhang Li’er answered excitedly, “We must observe first! There must be some weak points! Gather some people; the more, the better! Oh yes, don’t forget to inform our Sect Lord and the elders. They might sabotage our plan if they tag along!”

The opening of an ordinary business was oftentimes insignificant. Although the news being spread said that God Wang Tower had a unique design, how could a mere house draw the attention of powerful cultivators?

However, if the Heavenly Wolf Sect Lord and the four Hall Lords were going, it was a completely different matter.

And so, each sect sent representatives along with many disciples to attend the ceremony.

Once the news broke out, demons undercover quickly channeled the information back to the demonic sect.

Tong An'an listened to his subordinate’s report and looked puzzled.

“God Wang Company’s opening ceremony? He’s preparing to sell a product? And he’s inviting all the righteous sects in the Ten-thousand Great Mountains to attend?” Tong An'an repeated what he heard.

“That’s right!” One of his men nodded.

“What is Wang Ke trying to do? How did he gain the support of the entire Heavenly Wolf Sect? I just received an update; didn’t the Demon Sovereign choose Wang Ke as the Divine Dragon Branch Lord? What’s going on?” Tong An'an was confused.

He had to hide from the Demon Sovereign back on Divine Dragon Island, which was why he didn't know about Wang Ke’s newly attained position. Still, he was duly informed while fleeing this time around.

If the Demon Sovereign checked Wang Ke personally, Wang Ke was no doubt a demon. But why the hell did he become a righteous disciple the moment he returned to the Heavenly Wolf Sect?Bai Jin, Murong Luguang, and even Chen Tianyuan agreed that Wang Ke is a righteous sect disciple?

“This is freaking weird!” Tong An'an muttered in frustration.

“Chapter Lord Tong, didn’t you say that Wang Ke was a professional when it came to lying? He might have deceived the Demon Sovereign... Uh no, rather, he might have deceived Chen Tianyuan!” someone suggested.

Tong An'an nodded with a frown. “This might be the only possibility!”

Another subordinate raised his concern, “Chapter Lord, you gathered us to take Wang Ke’s head. But Wang Ke has been hiding inside the Heavenly Wolf Sect all these months; we can’t do it! He’s only gone to that God Wang Tower occasionally; other than that, we’ve had no other chances!”

Tong An'an narrowed his eyes and said, “Let’s assassinate him in his bullsh*t God Wang Tower then!”

“Ah? You want us to go near the Heavenly Wolf Sect?” that subordinate asked, feeling worried.

“Why not? Humph! Opening ceremony? Open your *ss! Wang Ke, I’m in such deep sh*t all because of you! I’m going to kill you!” Tong An'an said with a chilling voice.
