Infection: Dying Days

(Andy's POV)

While we were sitting in the bus garage, waiting for Desmond's bunch...

"Are you kidding me? We only have one bus to use? This is f*cking insane!"

A boy suddenly starts cursing. 

Luckily, he knows that he can't be too loud since the possibility of infected being nearby is high so his voice was a little restrained. 

I can't fault him for his outburst. The revelation of having only one bus to use basically hit everyone like a ton of bricks. Especially for those of us who just recently made it here.

The momentary bliss we had when we arrived instantly became despair. Everyone was down.

Well, not everyone. Out of all of us who just entered, President Yang was the only one who had a calm face.

She must've known about this...wait what am I saying? Of course she'd know about this, she's the top dog after all.

 And I'm pretty sure Desmond knew about this as well. I witnessed him and President Yang talking about something serious before we left, so it must've been this.

 I wanted to ask what he discussed with her but seeing how he didn't want to talk about, I stopped. Which looking back on it now was a good decision. The less people that knew about the matter, the better.

My only question is what does she plan on doing from here on out? 

"You knew didn't you?!"

Angrily thrusting his finger towards President Yang, the boy accuses. Not getting angry at his accusation, President Yang calmly states with her arms crossed against her ample bosom. 

"That's correct. I knew about it."

"Then why didn't you say anything?"

"Because what good would that do? If I said out loud 'oh sorry guys we only have one working bus instead of two' would any of you bother trying to get here? No, you would start having panic attacks and cause mass hysteria. Just like what you're doing right now. Am I right?"

As she said this, President Yang glanced at everyone in the garage. When they met her stern red eyes, the students and even Mr. Ackland quickly looked the other way.

Further showing that what she said was correct.

"B-but you told that other boy didn't you? What makes him so special that you could tell him and not the rest of us? Not the teachers!...W-were you hoping to bump some of us off while we were out there fighting those things!?"

The boy came to an outrageous conclusion as his breathing started to get faster. 

*Gasp*

His absurd accusations caused the students around us to gasp in surprise, as if what he's saying is true.

"Come on, that's complete bullsh*t!"

"Don't accuse somebody unless you have evidence."

Not able to withstand this f*cktard blaming Desmond and the Pres. anymore, me and some dude wearing glasses speak up.

This guy was the leader of the first group. I think his name was Reginald.

"I agree. Otherwise, you'll look stupid."

Stepping to President Yang's side, I said in agreement while giving the boy an irritated look. 

However, doing this only seemed to make him angrier.

"F*ck you fatty! The only reason for saying that is because I'm right!"

"Wha- you son of a bit-"

"Andy, that's enough. When people are experiencing a panic attack, they become unreasonable."

Just when I was about to spout another curse at the guy, President Yang came in and stopped me.

...Thank God she did! Because I'm pretty that after I call him a son of a b*tch, me and him are going to fight. However, it'll be a fight where I'll lose.

I'm not ashamed to say it, I'm a little fat. Even though Desmond says otherwise. I suck at running, I suck at jumping, I basically suck at everything dealing with physical exercise.

So I know for a fact that if we fought right now, I'd lose. However that doesn't mean I'll lose one sidedly, I'll get a punch or two in before going down!

While I was thinking such thoughts, President Yang walked towards him and said.

"How about you take a deep breath and calm down."

"What are you trying to pull? Get away from me!"

Seeing her come towards him, the boy shouts and takes a step backwards in fear. 

Hey, man, can't you be a little quieter? I don't want any infected coming in here.

"I'm not trying to pull anything. I just want you to calm down and realize how much of a ruckus your causing."

Paying no mind to his actions, President Yang continues to walks closer. And just when she's within a few feet from him...

"I'm telling you, Stay back!"

The boy throws a punch without warning! 

"Agh!"

But before his punch could even touch her, President Yang suddenly appeared behind him and delivered a powerful chop to the back of his neck, causing him to fall like a sack of potatoes. The dude was unconscious.

"..."

The whole garage was silent as they stared at President Yang and the boy knocked out on the floor in surprise. 

"What's his name?"

Ignoring the various looks of surprise she's receiving, President Yang asks.

"...His name's Zachary."

A student said with slight hesitation in his voice. Turning towards the student, President Yang ordered.

"Then put Zachary in a corner somewhere and let him sleep it off. Hopefully, when he wakes up he'll be a lot calmer."

"Yes ma'am!"

A quick as he possibly can, the poor guy grabbed Zachary and sat him upright on a nearby wall.

Never thought I'd see a person knock out another person with the ever famous 'neck chop' before, guess there's a first time for everything.

Yep, President Yang most definitely lives up to her nickname 'Lady General.'  She does the name proud!

Should I ask her to teach me?

"Now that that's over with, does anybody else has something to say?"

While it was still quiet, President Yang took the opportunity to ask.

"I do."

Reginald said as he finished wiping off his glasses with a handkerchief.

"Oh, what is it?"

"How about we use this chance to hop on the bus right now and leave?"

Placing his now cleaned glasses upon his face, Reginald suggested in all seriousness.

...I don't think a neck chop can solve this!
