Is It Wrong To Be A Khajiit In A Dungeon

Chapter 5 - The Great Labyrinth City

It was strange indeed, two peculiars being talked and conversated in civil between the darkness and murkiness of a room inside a sewer. I need to cast a silence spell to prevent all those disturbing echoes of water and mouse. God, those little vermin was as loud as the Daedrat and Skeever, too bad they were far too small to leave a charred skin.

"So, in order for one to gain… blessing, one needs to have an approval of a god or goddess, hmm?" I asked him after attentively listening to his story.

To recount it. A long time ago, there's an endless maw of a pit that spit countless and hideous monsters from the deepest recesses of the earth. Many brave hero sagas, was centered around this great pit as it was the darkest age for the races, monsters roam around not shying away whether it's night or days. They strike and prey whenever they wish.

The pit was then called the dungeon, the mother of all monsters. It was interesting that they regarded it as it was a living creature that sole purpose was the destruction of all forms of life. After thousands of years of weariness, and many heroic tales told, the races finally could breathe in ease as the greatest salvation had come. God, the divine has descended off their heavenly throne to bless all the mortals and slay the monsters until they cornered to their birthing place and sealed the pit in a form of a giant lid known as Babel tower.

Of course, even with the flowery words, god is being god. The world was saved, all because of the boredom of the god in their constant and perpetual state of being not able to feel, and taste anything in their realm. Oh well, it was a good bargain for the mortals anyway. Whom to judge, even they went to a great length to seal all of their power and authority just to taste the forbidden fruit of Adam and Eve.

After the sealing, every year, a few braves were chosen and blessed to cull the monster that congregating near the surface of the lid to keep the tower away from being overwhelmed. This turns into a tradition over a thousand-year until it evolved into a full-blown scale of business when there are reported great riches that dwell beneath the dungeon. Precious metals not known to man, Hide's that could protect from a strike of steel or magic, and the monster core that powered the civilization. Mankind being mankind, their greed was apparent in their eyes, rushing to the dungeon to claim it's bountiful harvests. Even many great kingdoms went to bankruptcy or to be destroyed by another. It was a century of strife until the order was imposed by the god.

The lid was to be managed by a sole organization, the guild that will act as a neutral party and the management of the Dungeon.

God was given the privilege of a single spell despite their vow to seal their power. The spell to bless mortal with their energy, so may their children could slay and goes toe to toe in a dungeon. They were allowed to form Familia which consists of the sole god that bless their children or adventurers in this case as the leader of the helm. In return, the children that been blessed bring great contribution to their Familia and the god could live in luxury without being worried about their power sealed and enjoy many entertainments the mundane world could bring.

After that, all races congregate near the Babel tower, a land once told as the bringer of misfortune turned into a great city that promises wealth beyond imagination and today, known as the Labyrinth city, Orario.

Much the mystery of the Dungeon still can't be unveiled even with the god wisdom. No one knows it's true nature.

At least that concludes Fels story about the world outside, of course, there are many details I left unsaid as it could take days and night to explain.

"Yes, it was a mutual relationship. If one to strike a benevolent God or perhaps the god that suits their personality this will create at least, a beneficial relationship. Some create bonds over camaraderie, a few gods cherish their Familia as it was their real family as the longing of god that couldn't procreate or simply grew fond of them. Of course, I couldn't coax it well, but god is not being what we used to imagine, they have the mind and personality of mortals, at least when in this world. Some were genuinely helpful, some just mischief, some only move if it's for their benefit, and some just wanted to play downright evil."

Fels explains, his tone grew less raspy than before. Perhaps it was to suit his images as mysterious beings that bring messages from his god.

"This one finally understands, this one feels gratitude over your honesty. So, to may, what hospitality I could offer for you, hmm?"

His eyes flickered over the robe. Those two green orbs that flow lazily between the socket of his skulls. As contemplating what to do, it likes he didn't expect my answer. How rude, I value honesty above all. Not being subjected to suspiciousness, and scheme, everyone just needs to state their d.e.s.i.r.e and we could move into a greater relationship or perhaps, business. It was so easy, yet everyone loves to play their card, oh well.

"I… I'm not sure. You demonstrated a few powers that I have never seen… maybe if this was the link we meant to create, I need to tell you another important piece of my quest and what happened above."

"Are you sure, this one thought is very simple. But this one likes to bend his truth, but for you, of course, this one will tell the truth."

"Thank you… I never know your name."

"Oh… Silly, People call this one as Dro'zah. Simply, Dro'zah please."

"Oh, sure Dro'zah." He tasted the words, as it was a foreign word, but still came out my mouth flawlessly. I adopted my game character's name, at least it was the last thing to do If I will live in his face from now on.

And then it was, yet, again, another long tale's and did I mention, that I have to tell my parts too.
