Party Time

I got dressed in my tux with my armor underneath. I could make the armor my tux but I don't want Kim to notice that my suit doesn't feel like a suit. I open my door to see myself standing in the hallway. I used my technique to see through illusions and he's still standing there. I don't sense any malice toward me at the very least.

Jack?: Don't worry. I'm only here to help make sure you end up fulfilling our end of the bargain.

The other Jack walked inside and closed the door.

Jack: Dark Phantom, why are you here and why are you disguised as me when you haven't taken over my body.

Dark Phantom: Well, I thought that you might need a stand-in when you handle your business. I wouldn't want anyone to be suspicious about your whereabouts. Besides if you kill Cinder then you really wouldn't want them suspecting you.

Jack: I'm not killing Cinder.

Dark Phantom: Oh, I forgot. Jack Schnee is above killing.

Jack: While I don't like the idea, it is a smart move. Although, if you had this power then why didn't you use it to sneak into the academy before?

Dark Phantom: I don't want Cinder to know that I have access to someone with this ability. I have a hard time as it is trying to avoid the regular jobs they stick me with. If she found out that I had this, then my workload will triple at least.

Jack: I would feel bad for you if you weren't such a bad guy.

Dark Phantom: Jack, your just jealous that because with this power I have experienced the many joys of life and you haven't.

Jack: I've experienced things well beyond your imagination, but where are we going to make the switch happen.

Dark Phantom: I got this key card that will give me access to a nearby classroom. After I spot Cinder then I'll rush to the room to make the switch. Don't worry I'll disguise myself as someone else before the switch happens. I also got us some communication devices like in those spy movies except these are state of the art devises that are completely invisible to the n.a.k.e.d eye after their cloaking is activated.

Jack: Why did you even get this?

Dark Phantom: Trade secret, I'm afraid. Besides, don't ask questions that you don't want the answer to.

Jack: Just let me know when its time.

Dark Phantom: No problem. By the way, what weapon are you going to use to defeat Cinder?

Jack: Trade secret.

Dark Phantom: Spoken like a true thief.

I finished getting ready and put the communication device in my ear. I head over to the water fountain to meet up with Kim. As I walk over to the fountain, I see everyone all dressed up and I wonder how I'm going to pull off a win tonight. Cinder is a formidable opponent and even though I have my powers, is it enough? I've never actually gone up against or encountered anyone able to use magic before. If my plan works, then I have the potential to change the course of history. Cinder wouldn't be able to plant the virus and take control of the system. Penny wouldn't die and Beacon wouldn't end up in the horrible state it was in. On the other hand, everything is so different from the original story already. I mean I'm teaming up with a murderer to catch Cinder. Artifacts like my armor and the grimoire are already anomalies not to mention very dangerous depending on who has them. Also, my team didn't exist either and I have no way of knowing if anything I did caused that. I have no way of knowing how far these changes go or what enemies are waiting for me in the shadows. I'll still go because I know that doing nothing will cause an even bleaker future that I don't look forward to. Before I knew it, I was already at the fountain and I came face to face with my date. She looked gorgeous. A lovely red dress, a new hairstyle, and a face full of makeup that only seems to accentuate her beautiful features. All those doubts and worries just blew away in a single moment. I'm left speechless while Kim giggles.

Kim: Hey. Cat got your tongue.

Jack: You look beautiful, Kim.

Kim: Thanks. You look handsome yourself.

Jack: Well, please allow me to accompany you on what should be a night to remember.

Kim: I hope you're ready to dance.

Jack: Yeah, only if you promise not to laugh at me.

Kim: Come on. I'll teach you, don't worry.

Jack: When I have such a beautiful teacher, how could I not learn?

Dark Phantom (Communication Device): Smooth. I'm throwing up already.

Kim: What's wrong, Jack.

Jack: Oh, it's just that I had a bad feeling that tonight isn't going to be as good as I thought.

Kim: Don't worry, it's not like the Dark Phantom is going to sneak in and murder someone.

Dark Phantom (CD): I wouldn't want to make her a liar.

Jack: NO. No way. If he does anything, I will personally beat him to the ground and make sure your safe.

Dark Phantom (CD): My hero.

Kim: Don't worry about it. I want this night to be about us having fun. I think everyone needs a break after chasing criminals down, fighting a horde of Grimm, and having to deal with all of our classes.

Jack: That would be nice.

After a bit of walking, we reached the dance hall and met up with everyone else. Olga doesn't have a date and I honestly can't say I'm surprised. Both Olga and Eve came to the dance alone without any dates. Olga begged Eve for several hours and she still didn't budge. I don't know what to say to Olga because on one hand, I want to call him an idiot, on the other, I kinda admire his determination even if I will never say it to him for as long as I live. Everything else seems to be going as I thought. Blake and Sun are dancing together while Weiss and Neptune are chatting by the punch bowl. Pyrrha is alone with no sight of Jaune. Which can only mean that he's going to go put on that dress? I walk with Kim to the dance floor and I begin to show off the very few moves that I knew.
