Jack Schnee [RWBY]

After I came back with my team, I learned that team RWBY had a bit of trouble with their mission but I can't say our mission went smoothly either. Yang talked about how this woman saved her from dying but in the back of my mind, I knew they were talking about Raven. It was too bad that nobody came to help us during our mission. I just had to deal with Kim dying in my arms, it was no big deal. We talked about our mission as well but I seemed to look like a hero from the storybooks the way I swooped in to save the day to the people there. Although we talked about the mission, everyone was excited for the tournament that was going to take place. I'm kind of excited as well even though it means handicapping myself since absorbing more aura while I'm low is definitely grounds for suspicion if not cheating by everyone there since they monitor what level your aura is.

I'm a little hesitant for how things are going to go considering it was during the tournament, Cinder made her move to take down Beacon. There are still too many things that I still don't know about her plan. At the very least, I stopped her from planting the bug and took out one of her underlings. She also can't use Emerald anymore either since I stole all of her important memories. I wonder what she's going to do to take down Beacon. I know that things are different now than before when I watched the show, but it shouldn't be too different. Anyway, I spent some time with my team after class to discuss how we were going to handle the tournament. We discussed various strategies that we can perform on the field depending on the layout and biomes that may pop up. Everyone was confident though that our team was going to win the team matches and go onto the doubles round. After the strategy meeting, I ran into team RWBY having a bit of fun while I was having a walk.

Jack: Hey. How's your strategy going?

Ruby: It's going great. Were going to kick some serious b.u.t.t.

Weiss: We're going to win.

Jack: Well, I fully believe that if you're not going against me.

Yang: I admit you're strong but our teamwork is far better than yours.

Jack: Oh, don't count me out just yet. You're not the only ones who've gotten yourselves into some trouble.

Ruby: Weiss and I are an unstoppable duo, no one can stop us.

Jack: No one is unstoppable, not even the Unshakable Hero.

Blake: Who's the Unshakable Hero?

Jack: A long time ago, he was a hero that was said to be invincible and that nothing could hurt him. I was reading up on him recently and it seemed that he was betrayed by the people that he cared about in an attempt to steal his power. No one respected or looked up to him anymore and he was on the run. You could say that was how he was defeated, not by power but by manipulating the people around him. Even though the books said he disappeared, I believed that he managed to find himself new meaning doing something else.

Ruby: He sounds powerful.

Jack: He seems to be but I don't know how powerful he truly is. I wonder if I could beat him as I am now?

Blake: You seem to feel very strongly about him.

Jack: Yeah, I do. It's not every day that you read something that inspires you. I'll see you guys later.

I traveled down the halls as I eventually made it to the training grounds where I found Amber sitting off to the side drinking a water bottle. There was no one else around so I walked over to her considering that it has been a while since we last talked. I use my power to make sure that no one else is around within listening distance.

Amber: Hey. It's been a while since we saw each other.

Jack: Yeah, did you ever end up making a decision regarding your maiden powers.

Amber: I decided that I would stay here and train to control my powers. Ozpin has been training me to control my powers as well. It's a little slow but I feel like a have a better handle on my powers than before but I don't have all my powers anymore so that could also play a factor.

Jack: Unfortunately, I can't give you your powers back at the moment since I don't have them anymore.

Amber: You don't have them.

Jack: No, my teammate's life was in danger and I gave it to her to save her life. I think it's connected to her more deeply than it was to me. Then again, the power was constantly rejecting me since I was male. I don't know what would happen if I tried forcing it out of her so I think its best to leave it inside of her.

Amber: That's great that she's okay but what's going to happen when she finds out that she can control magic powers.

Jack: Hopefully, she will never, and besides people won't think there are two Fall Maidens and since you're still alive with powers then I would assume that no one else would know that she has it either. We can keep this as our little secret.

Amber: More secrets. I still haven't told anyone who you are but they seem like good people so why don't you trust them with your identity. You also haven't done anything too serious to warrant the death penalty or life in prison.

Jack: It isn't that I don't trust them but I don't think they will believe me even if I tell them the truth because I don't have any evidence to back it up. Plus, things are turning out very different with my intervention so we'll have to wait and see.

Amber: Wait, are you saying you can see the future?

Jack: A possible future but yes.

Amber: So what was my future like.

Jack: Your future would've ended while you in that machine. Cinder would've finished you off and become the Fall Maiden, but now you can be whatever you want to be. You can now pave a new, better future for yourself. That's what I want to do for everyone here as well. I want them to be safe and to live their dreams the way they want to. I don't want that choice being taken from them because of Cinder and her associates.

Amber: By her associates, do you also mean Emerald.

Jack: Yeah, I do. Though she should be harmless without her memories.

Amber: She doesn't seem that bad without her memories.

Jack: People aren't born evil but are influenced into becoming one. Did you become her friend or something?

Amber: Yes, I did but I'm still suspicious of whether she lost it or not. If she did, then that means it could come back. I'm worried that she'll betray my trust and kill me.

Jack: You don't have to worry about that. I have her memories and I will make sure they don't end up returning to her. Just be careful, she may not be dangerous but her associates definitely are.

Amber: Okay.

Jack: Don't be too sad, you can see me and my team kick some b.u.t.t in the tournament. I'll need you to cheer for me on the sidelines.

Amber: Yeah, I'll see you around, Jack.

Jack: Likewise.
