Jinrui No Saigo No Kibō/Humanity's Last Hope

After Paul's squad is sure that the east side is safe they go back to the wall. The principal was there waiting for them.

"The east area is safe sir!" says Paul while saluting

"Good, you can go back in the campus, also classes are suspended today because of this incident." Says the principal

"You aren't coming with us?" says Paul thinking about something

"Hey… Don't tell me those two aren't back yet!" says Paul looking so angry

After a moment of silence the principal says:

"No, they don't even answer to their phone…" says the principal

Fabio and Alex look surprised and also worried. They haven't come back for about 3 hours.

"Shouldn't we go after them?" asks Alex

"We already have two soldiers missing, that wouldn't be pretty smart. I will wait here a little longer." Says the principal

At the same time in the forest on the west side, Mizuki and Hikari are walking.

"I think they are worried." Says Mizuki

"Maybe…" says Hikari

"I bet The Principal is still waiting for us," says Mizuki

"Sure," says Hikari not looking interested in what Mizuki is saying

Mizuki notices and start raising the tone

"You should at least be worried, you are the one who said to turn off our phones! What if they called us?" says Mizuki angry

"And what? To make more noise than we already do?" says Hikari with a calm tone

"Now shut up I hear something"

The noises come from outside the forest. Mizuki and Hikari hide behind some bushes and see a very big group of corrupted aligned listening to another one on the front

"I knew it, they didn't retreat, they group up," says Hikari

"There are so many of them… Shall we go back to the wall and report?"

"No, they're way too many of them, even if we go and report we don't have enough army power to face it," says Hikari

Then he looks at the corrupted in the front of the others which looks different, and also there is someone very skinny in his right

"I think that's their commander, maybe if we kill him they will retreat," says Hikari

"Isn't this kind of risky?" asks Mizuki worried

Hikari draws one of his swords, Mizuki looking at him scared and worried

"Do you think engaging them right now is the best idea?" says Mizuki

"Well, we don't have many other choices," says Hikari

Then Hikari looks at Mizuki and sees her worried face

Mizuki looks so scared because she doesn't want to kill

"You can stay here, at least we will go back with a survivor," says Hikari

"But I can't let you go alone," says Mizuki very sad

Then Hikari looks at Mizuki and smiles while saying

"I am not alone, even If you are not on the battlefield you are still with me. Like everyone else, they might not be here but I know they are thinking about us" says Hikari while smiling

Mizuki expression changes to smile

"Maybe he loves me? Or he just said that to cheer me up" thinks Mizuki

Then Hikari turns at the corrupted location and jumps from the bush and start killing the corrupted

Mizuki stays behind the bush watching Hikari

"He is so cool, I wish I could be like him," thinks Mizuki while looking at Hikari how easily kills the corrupted

"Maybe I can't kill them, but I can try something else," thinks Mizuki

Hikari after killing some corrupted gets surrounded by them…Then a fast dark magic ball approach Hikari and right before the impact…

"Fireball!"

Then a fireball from Mizuki's direction comes and collides with the dark ball canceling it,

Hikari then kills more of the corrupted but gets surrounded again on the edge of a cliff.

"Shit, they got me," says Hikari

And a big dark magic ball approaches him

Mizuki jumps over the corrupted that surrounds Hikari and cast a spell

"Firewall"

Unfortunately, the dark ball explodes on the impact with the wall and Hikari and Mizuki are pushed off the ledge.
