Kael Cor: A Vampire's Awakening

Chapter 434 - Hell We Trap

The terrain of hell was pretty much unlike anything we've seen so far, or rather unlike anything that I have seen by myself. It was dry as shit and even more desolate than expected, it was all kinds of fuċkėd up and when I suddenly found myself wondering why the fuċk it was the way it was, I realized that in the end the answer has always been looking at me right in the face. This was fuċkɨnġ hell, so in retrospect t it was supposed to be hellish. So I pretty much had no business trying to see it as anything other than that.

But now there was just the three of us left for this mission, and perhaps that wasn't smart in and out of itself as we could get outnumbered, or outgunned by the dark council here in hell, but it wasn't that much of a hiccup for me or for Joshua. Even if we couldn't fight back, we could definitely run away, and I doubt there's a single entity in existence with the power to chase us down if we do decide that we wanted to run away, bringing Teluna along would have easily been a piece of cake. But on the matter of Teluna, I was worried about him, his behavior back at the fort had raised a bunch of red flags for me, and neither I nor Joshua liked what we saw when we decided to take a closer look.

His aura was all kinds of messed up, almost as if someone had left a virus behind. But then again whoever had been responsible for it was not very smart if I had to be honest, there was a tether between Teluna and the person, leading me to believe that said person was currently influencing the thoughts in Teluna's mind. It was making him a lot more aggressive than usual, so much so that he was completely blind to reason and was downright being malevolent. It was not right, and it was definitely not the way Teluna did things, which was quite worrying.

It spoke volumes of the skill and power of the person who had planted this 'Virus' in Teluna without him noticing it, much less myself or the rest of the dragon kings. But be that as it may, the tether to Teluna was like a massive beacon, leading us directly to whoever was pulling the strings in the shadow, and I don't think it was mere coincidence that the tether was pointing in the direction that we had to follow to go save Gus. But then again this might just be some elaborate trap, and whoever was fuċkɨnġ with Teluna's mind was waiting for us, ready to spring a trap that most definitely would either hurt or kill either Joshua and I. But there wasn't much of a choice in that regard too, even if there was a trap waiting for us, it's not as if we didn't have a plan in place to deal with it, but until we get there, we will keep and open mind.

[Grand Teleportation]

The world seemed to fall away as all three of us vanished from our current position, covering vast distances in a mere blink of an eye. The tower that would serve as the teleportation hub that would take us directly to where Gus was being held captive was not a viable option for us. Hell might be the size of several suns put together, but both Joshua and I were masters of speed or movement abilities. While the grand Teleportation ability was a part of the Cor family Crest, Joshua had gained such mastery over the element of wind that he could use it to cut through dimensions, effectively slashing a path through space and time and the void to ensure a quick movement from one location to the other. And it was due to these abilities that we needed up in front of a city in hell, with a larger fortress in the middle, and filled with clamor of torment of souls. There was pain in the air, both that of the living and of the dead, and the demons around revealed in it, this was a city of horrors. But we were already here, much faster than was expected of us. Now all Joshua and I could do was wait as the bait we had sent ahead is chased after. As soon as that thought crossed my mind I turned to look at the Teluna besides me, smiling with mirth at the blank look on his face, this was definitely going to be a good show.

[<<<<<∆>>>>>]

Gus watched with baited breaths as the teleportation circle lit up, with all of his abilities in gathering information, he had no idea he was being used as bait until a screen showed up in his cell, showing him the teleportation network and the spell circle that had been inscribed in it's walls, and even more the presence of Dracula as hid behind one of the pillars, waiting for Kael to show up. It was an elaborately set trap, he had no idea how they were even able to tell that he had used the communication abilities of his Cor family Crest. But regardless of how they had done it, they had reacted quickly and set up a trap that was sure to restrain even a God as powerful as Kael. This was a formation he had discovered has been in research and production in hell for over 7 thousand normal years, much less the time that would have passed in hell, while the study and research was going on. They have been planning for a prior invasion, the war between the dark gods, the dragon kings, and the Devourer had involved the hell dimensions, and that was enough to bring this elaborate trap into light. A spell capable of trapping a god for eternity, using their own divinity as a power source.

But unfortunately even with all of his prayers, the teleportation circle still flashed and Kael, Joshua and Teluna appeared, and as soon as they did the trap was sprung.. And that was all it took, all hope was now lost.
