The end times are coming, and something has to be done about it. The King has decided to go mad, The Lord Balthazar, and his envoys have taken it upon themselves to slaughter and slave the dwarves of the Iron foothills, and the dwarven painter Bornithl, the man who ended the war single-handedly has decided to never pick up the brush again. As his son runs away, and as the demon hordes move again, a sinister plan begins to brew, one that threatens to upset all of Volmund.
