Larger Than Life, Bigger Than Us

Lily and SongJae were in the vehicle, going back home. However Lily's mind was still trying to process all the events that occurred. She was quite puzzled about her meeting with Minh and Dai and wasn't paying much attention to SongJae. She now felt that Ran's life was full of surprises. It was strange; even SongJae didn't seem to know who they were or how Ran got acquainted with them. She felt that Ran's life was probably not as simple as it seemed. What was Ran relationship with Dai? Who was he? She still held his handkerchief. D & G. D for Dai, what was the G standing for? And what about Minh? What had happened between them in the past? Lily's curiosity about Ran's life was growing.

Lily wondered how this world could have 2 people with such identical features. After all, everyone she had met so far only recognized her as Ran Sheng. She wasn't even fully sure that the handsome man on the stage of the bal she saw knew her as Ran or Lily. But she knew him as Lily for sure, since she was Lily and not Ran. Was Ran her twin sister? If only Lily could remember.

"Darling, are you listening to me?... Darling?" SongJae pulled her out of her thoughts.

" I am so sorry SongJae, the night have been...eventful. "

"Indeed, indeed, so much excitation tonight...Who would have thought I had a love rival? I guess it's useless to ask you since you don't have your memories back. Never mind, I love challenges!" His tone was clearly expressing he disliked this idea of love rival. SongJae's expression was black. His brows were furrowed. One big line was crossing his forehead.

Lily looked at him...was SongJae sulking? He looked so adorable at that moment.

Lily apologized again and on impulse, kissed his cheek. SongJae's was startled by the gesture. This was the first time she made any display of affection to him. He touched his cheek and smiled.

"What was this for?"

"So you could stop sulking"

SongJae looked offended and protested strongly!

"I wasn't! I was just surprised that Ran had a secret lover I wasn't aware of..."

"If you were aware, there wouldn't be any secret lover no?" Ran was teasing SongJae and was quite pleased with herself and with SongJae's reaction.

"Does that mean you admit to cheating me!? Ran Sheng, in this life, you are not allowed to have any other man beside me!" Looking at him, all fl.u.s.tered, Lily smiled like a kid who just managed to perform a great trick.

"I don't remember...Did you forget?"

They had arrived. SongJae parked in the interior garage. Lily was about to get out when, out of nowhere, SongJae grabbed her face tightly and kissed her passionately, punishing her for teasing him, stealing her breath. She tried to pull away but he had a firm grasp on her. She could only endure. When SongJae pulled back. Lily was furious. She raised her hand and a sounded "clap" resonated throughout.

"You...you are a rogue!!!"

SongJae expression was the same as kid who just ate his candy : very pleased and happy. He chuckled a bit.

"Well at least, your mind is now full of me and you'll keep thinking about me for a long time."

Lily was about to raise her arm again, when he quickly escape and went out of the vehicle.

"Darling, I'll retire first...unless you want me to wait so I can carry you in?" Now it was SongJae's turn to tease her.

"YOU!...you...…" Lily couldn't think of anything to reply back.

"Then I'll go, I'll see you in the morning." SongJae slowly passed his finger on his lips, looked at her amused, then added on a seductive voice: "Thank you Darling for the gift".
