Larger Than Life, Bigger Than Us

When Lily heard the masculine voice in her head, she was extremely surprised. She was able to hear his thoughts now?! Lily wondered what Ran must have felt hearing it. Was she surprised too? Was she scared? Even though she was a spectator, she wasn't able to feel any of Ran's emotions or thoughts. Lily was also curious if Ran had been able to hear all of his thoughts. She understood it was directed to his guards but why was she able to hear it? Was this because of the "imprinting" bond between them?

Lily was also intrigued by the woman who had stormed outside of the room. Who was she? Why was she trying to meet Ran?

In any case, Lily was now wide awake, feeling well enough, she didn't feel staying in her bed. Thus, she got out of it. For a few minutes, Lily thought about what she should do. Without her noticing however, her body had moved to the door, then opened it and stepped out of the room into the hallway. The hall was full of light, foliage and flowers. It was a beautiful sight.

"Miss, you are not allowed to leave the room" Lily was not able to make more than 2 or 3 steps before one of the guard appeared out of the shadows. Then again, Lily's mouth ran off on its own...

"People are forbidden from entering. I haven't heard anything about people leaving. Hence, I am not bound to stay in this room and you have no right to stop me." Lily's replied sharply and arrogantly.

Her reply provoked the ire of the guard. He couldn't believe a mere human was so disrespectful to him. Lily could also sense the guard was irritated and prepared to attack her. She didn't say anything wrong, why would he get so angry? In any case, she had to distract him so she could escape.

Looking behind him, she suddenly bowed.

"Master..."

The guard following her movement, also bowed deeply, his head down, his eyes facing the ground. In the moment, his eyes left her, she started running down the hall as fast as she could.

When the guard heard her running steps, he realized he got fooled

How dare you!!! You...tricked me!!!" The guard was yelling and running after her. She turn right and left a couple of times, hoping to shake off the guard but still her stamina wasn't that high and she was about to run of energy.

Suddenly another door opened, an arm grabbed her into the room and an hand sealed her mouth. Lily fought the embrace, but the arm was too strong.

Then a low familiar voice whispered to her ear...

"Shh... you will alert all the guards if you continue to fight like this. Don't move for a bit"

Then someone knocked the door.
