The moment Lucia swung open the door, we were greeted by a space that did not resemble the abjuration classroom at all.

And frankly, if it weren’t for the fact that the door was labeled as being the door to the Abjuration classroom, I probably would’ve thought that we had arrived at the wrong place.

Mostly because all the tables in the room were filled to the brim with a variety of foods and had been moved to the middle of the room.

Moreover, the atmosphere of the room felt a bit more welcoming and lively compared to how it was last time I visited.

“Well, here we are, Otto. What do you want to eat?”

Lucia said, before gesturing towards the numerous plates sitting in the center of the room.

“I dunno, could you just pick something out for me? Since it’s kinda the first time that I’m having dinner here.”

“Yeah I can do that, just wait here for a few minutes and I’ll be right back. And don’t get into any trouble while I’m gone.”

“Please, if anyone’s gonna cause a scene here, it’ll probably be you.”

“Whatever.”

Lucia said nonchalantly, before lightly tapping me on the shoulder and heading towards the table in the far left corner of the room.

In turn, I simply just leaned back against the wall behind me and watched Lucia piece together our dinner.

She was a bit more meticulous than I had originally thought she’d be.

Which made me smile a bit as I always enjoyed seeing a new side of her.

A few seconds later, Lucia returned with two plates made out of thick leaves in her hands, each with different items stacked on top of them.

“What are you grinning about?”

Lucia said before handing me the plate that had a medium sized piece of ham slathered in a purplish sauce, five peach slices and two pieces of toast.

“Nothing.”

I said slyly after receiving the plate from her.

“Uh huh.”

Lucia said, unconvinced.

“Anyway, now that we’ve got dinner, what do you want to do now?”

I asked before taking a seat on the hardwood floor and crafting a makeshift sandwich out of the ham and two slices of bread.

In response, Lucia simply just shrugged before taking a bite out of one of the peach slices lying on her plate.

“Hmm, maybe we could just go back to my room and get a good look at the stars, I’m pretty sure that we can get a great view of a really big one tonight, if we leave in the next hour or so.”

“Yeah, that sounds good to me.”

I replied before standing up and started moving towards the door.

In turn, Lucia nodded and then followed suit.

However, before we were able to leave the Abjuration classroom, a woman with green hair and circular rimmed glasses, who seemed to be in her 30s entered the room, and essentially blocked our only way out.

“I’m glad to see that you could make it, Lucia!”

The woman said cheerfully upon noticing who she had just bumped into.

“Yeah, it’s nice to see you too. Now we were just leaving, so if you could just…”

Lucia said flatly before attempting to squeeze through the door.

“Oh come on Lucia, don’t be like that, you haven’t even introduced who you brought over here.”

The lady said before turning her gaze towards me.

“Well, maybe that’s because I’d like to keep my private life to myself.”

“Wait hold on… does that mean this guy is your boyfriend?”

“Yeah, do you have a problem with that or something?”

Lucia said, with annoyance evident in her voice.

“None whatsoever, if this person somehow managed to get your approval, they’ve also got mine. I’ve got to admit though, I didn’t really expect that you of all people would end up getting a boyfriend.”

“Whatever, can we go now?”

“Sure, just as soon as you introduce me to this person here.”

The lady remarked after gesturing towards me.

“Ugh, fine. This is Otto, he’s in the Calligraphy class that’s a couple buildings away from the Abjuration classroom and my boyfriend. Happy now?”

“Nice to meet you, Otto. I’m Loren, Lucia’s Abjuration teacher. Thank you for keeping her in check whenever she’s not in class.”

“My pleasure.”

I said with a smidge of sarcasm present in my voice.

“You’ve seriously got to stop meddling in the private lives of your students.”

Lucia remarked before sighing a little.

“What’s the point of teaching anyone, if they’re just gonna run off and throw away their lives, the moment they leave the classroom?”

“And I thought I was pessimistic… anyhow, we’ll be leaving now.”

“Yeah yeah, just don’t do anything too crazy tonight, you two.”

“The hell is that supposed to mean?”

Lucia mumbled before latching onto my free hand and pulling me in the direction of her dorm room.

On our way out, I overheard a few of the other students in the room whisper among themselves about the relationship that Lucia and I were currently in.

Though, since most of the murmurs seemed to be either pretty positive or indifferent, I didn’t pay too much attention to them.

“Finally, some peace and quiet.”

Lucia said softly, the second we were out of earshot.

“I guess it was pretty peaceful and quiet, that is until you decided to speak up.”

I replied in a playful tone before taking another bite out of my makeshift sandwich.

“You always know just how to get on my nerves.”

Lucia remarked before rustling through my hair.

“Anyway, you were saying something about there being a big star tonight?”

“Yup, it's nothing like what we saw on the day of the festival, but I personally think it’s still something worth seeing.”

“Well, you won’t have to wait for long to see it, considering that your dorm room is just down the hall from here.”

“You’re forgetting about the flights of stairs we’re gonna have to go up.”

“...Remind me again, why that death trap hasn’t been demolished yet?”

“Oh don’t be so dramatic.”

Lucia said quickly before forcing me to pick up the pace.

A few minutes later we reached Lucia’s dorm room with empty plates in our hands.

And while there weren’t any lit torches in her room, it was really bright inside.

Which was mainly due to the fact that there was currently what looked to be a giant glowing crimson ball of fire floating in the black abyss outside her window.

“…Now when you said that this thing was gunna large, I didn’t think that you meant that it’d be this large.”

“Yeah, I didn’t think it was gonna be this large either. I guess the author of ‘Beyond the Stars’ wasn’t exaggerating, it really is like looking at the sun at night time.”

Lucia said before yawning a little and stretching her arms.

“Anyway… Otto it’s getting a bit late so we should probably wrap things up now”

“Noted.”

I said before moving towards the door.

However, before I could put my fingers around the handle, I felt a small tug on the back of my shirt.

“Is something wrong, Lucia?”

“No… it’s just that I was wondering if you could maybe stay over for the night, it would save you from having to make a long trek all the way back to your dorm room tonight.”

“Since I’m pretty sure that this school’s curfew system is about as effective as a sword made of wool, and I don't really want to walk a mile right now… I guess I could stay over for the night.”

“Great!”

Lucia said with a hint of excitement present in her voice before pushing me onto her bed.

“Oi, I never said that I was ready to go to bed now...”

“I honestly couldn’t care less.”

Lucia remarked after tightly wrapping her arms around me.

In response, I simply just shrugged before returning the favor.

Since there wasn’t much I could do now that she’s made up her mind.

…It’s not like I really mind though.
